I'll keep working hard to get there💪🙂 I appreciate your continues support. It means a lot to me🤝 Indeed, I was shocked at how huge this 4080 SUPER is. Absolute unit😄 Although, it is cool and quiet thanks to that massive size. So, it's not bad.
I'm building a +/- $2200 gaming pc ( I want to wait until Prime Day to get the most bang for my buck) and these are the games that I want to play on the absolute top setting with Ray Tracing if able with average 100fps on my 1440p ultrawide and looking to not have to upgrade for quite some time. Do you have any suggestions? 1. Star Citizen (hoping this will come out before I die.) 2. Arma 4 ( I know its 2 years away) 3. Warframe on max everything (its an oldie but a goodie) 4. CyberPunk 2077
It's difficult to choose one. I slightly lean more toward the 1440p ultrawide. Slightly. However, both are great options. I'd be happy with either if I had to choose just one. Ideally, I'd like to have a 2160p ultrawide that is as tall as a 32-inch 16:9 screen. That would be amazing🤩
It looks to me like the coloring on that display is somewhat on the _warm_ side. (Looking at it, I'm reminded of what my phone's screen looks like when it's in 'night time' mode). Otherwise, I'd say that the RTX 4080 _should_ be able to push higher frame rates for you, without having to use DLSS *or* frame generation. (But then I'm a half blind 1080p scrub, so what do I know? 🥸)
Depends on the game. If it was implemented well then you'll have to look very hard for any visual imperfections. But if it was implemented poorly then you'll notice that something is not quite while you are just enjoying the game and not actively looking to spot any problems.
What drop frames are you referring to? Utilising lower graphics settings will deliver more FPS but that is about it. Usually it doesn't affect framerate smoothness, if that's what you're referring to. With some rare exceptions of course.
@@theivadim In this case, I'm an old game player. Literally I only play clone hero, but I end up occasionally when playing more modern games, but that's just sometimes. Or maybe wait until January for the 5000 series? I’d really appreciate your help! God bless you and your family!
I'm very well, thank you! How about you? If you have a GPU that you feel will get you through the next several months when the RTX 5080/5070 launches then you might as well wait. However, if you have a lot of work/games that you want to do then I don't think it's worth waiting for the next-gen. Personally, I had a pretty good time with playing games on the 4070 Ti SUPER. It has plenty of memory. However, games are becoming increasingly more GPU demanding. So, don't expect the 4070 Ti SUPER to continue delivering great experience one or two years from now in the latest most demanding games. And if you want to experience ray tracing then definitely go for the 4080 SUPER.
@@theivadim I'm doing very well, thank you. So, I don’t need a PC right now, but I’d like to build one for gaming. I’m not sure if it's worth waiting for the next generation. Prices are usually higher at launch, aren’t they?
Yes, prices are typically higher at launch and then come down over following several weeks as stock availability improves. We all have different levels of FOMO. Personally, I think that now is a good time to build a PC. You can always sell your GPU and swap in a new one, easy. So, I don't see any reason to feel FOMO.

Just wondering how do you keep your GPU temps so low? I am getting 70 + degrees with my 4080 super
Everything on my PC is set to default settings. You might be using your PC in a much hotter environment, or your airflow could be suboptimal.
I'm pretty sure 70-80 under load is typical. My 4080s runs around 71-73 when I'm gaming.
Mine is at 60-65 because I play with my AC turned on. During summer with no AC I get about 65-70 so I guess it's normal for your situation
