I'll be down the first week of august and trying to do some research on what to bring with me equipment wise. Im from new jersey so we don't have much pier fishing here. But I'm open to ideas to places to fish and what to fish for!
I try and scope out a spot with no rocks visible to me underwater. Easier to see with polarized sunglasses. There is sand scattered in between the rocks closer in and then further out it should just be sand. I also try and use a small net out there, no larger than 4' radius, that's pretty light so it doesn't sink too fast.

Have literally never caught a flounder on that side of the jetty. Always slay them on the beach side though.

Is it just sand beyond the rocks? Looks like you threw that net not concerned about it getting caught.

How do you get to the jetties? Can you drive on the beach?
By boat or kayak from the launch otherwise you have to walk to it from a public parking access. We use Huntington Beach State Park. Tight lines!
Also no beach driving it's a state park
