Darn it Bob, that pit boss is amazing. The Pit Boss took me back to an old article I read in the Double Gun journal years ago where an American was having an all-around generalist shotgun made in Europe. He wanted something he could use on everything, bird, small game and big game, and the gunsmith said, "Oh, you're a rabbit choker like me" and made him something like this. Apparently "rabbit choker" was someone who hunted with this all-around shotgun. This would be a great gun for the WMAs during small game season when you can't carry a rifle, but could pop in a pair of slugs or buckshot if you ran across a hog.
Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I love this shotgun, it was really designed for and "all-round" the house pest exterminator. It's ascetics are based on the old African big game double shotguns (with some modern splash, like adj sights and choke tubes) before the rifles became popular. The Pitboss is a very classy firearms and it is one of my favorite "Must-Have" Shotguns. Thanks again... Oh, and I also love the Double Gun Journal, it takes you back to firearms of superior craftsmanship.
