Blunt ends with no splits grows faster and stronger than frayed ends. I had to cut half my hair off to make that correction but my hair now looks phenomenal! Patience boo!
This is so motivating - your hair looks so much better. I’ve been holding on to 3-4 inches of trash ends because I don’t know how to stop the single strand knots so I figured there’s no point of cutting my hair to get rid of them if they’re just going to come back. But I going to go ahead and chop this mess off. If that means I can’t have tailbone length hair ever then so be it.
Damn I feel like you’re talking about me right now😩, but the decision has been made and today I’m cutting all those ends. I’m choosing health over length this time
When she cut off all that hair I felt that deep down. I’m happy I found this video because I need a cut too… and I’ll be doing so this month. This method that was used seems so easy. My hair been stuck at this same length yours been for an year now and I feel like the ends are damaged due to a salon visit which I will never do again. From now on… I’ll be doing my own hair
How often do you trim? You can prevent your hair from splitting if you nip them in the bud before they begin. By dusting your ends every 2 months you won’t miss any length and your hair will maintain health and more fullness overtime
I’ve made the decision to trim before I need it. By the time I need one I need a cut. So I’m going to start doing one every month until the hem is thick then I’ll move out to 6-8 weeks.
It's so crazy after you do the cut cuz it seems like it wasn't ever cut but the health will definitely remind you that you did the cut and it was for the better. Ever since I did my cut I've gotten obsessed with trimming and keeping my ends healthy. Congrats to you!
I just did this a couple of weeks ago. When those ends look crazy, it does feel really good to cut them off and see the improvement. Someone else mentioned the video posted by Deeper than Hair. That's a good one too.
You did a good job your hair definitely looks healthier. You should check out deeper than hair, she did a video last year re cutting your own hair and that's the method I use and my hair always comes out even and looks good. A great tip is to get professional shears they cost more but they they are super sharp and give your hair a proper cut and properly eliminate the split ends. Last tip after cutting your hair oil those ends to keep them hydrated.
That’s the hardest part for me- to keep up the health right after the cut but I’m definitely trying to stay on top of my hydration. I will look into your recommended video
I have been looking for a video to show me how to trim my hair and I have finally found it, you made it very simple , thank you very much. I cannot wait to watch more of your videos.
You're a friggin’ lifesaver! I got some dead ends that need to GO TO HELL! I feel more confident in get rid of them. I will be doing this tonight. Thank you!
Always safer to take off a little instead of getting scissor happy-especially doing it yourself as a non professional. You can always go back later and take a little more off when you feel more confident.
I been natural 8 years if not more I clipped my dead ends and my hair started growing outrageous. Imma do it more often. I don't think imma ever go outside of being natural but I be tempted to cuz I'm from the tribe "CANT-CHI DONT-CHI" (CANT COMB IT DONT TRY TO) 🤣🤣🤭
Same, been natural like 10 years or so and every now and again I get tempted too. Not to go all the way back to creamy cr@ck but just texlax it a little bit 🤏🏾 😆

I know! It’s about to come in quick. Now I need to maintain my good ends so I don’t end up here again.
I love blunt ends. Makes the hair look so healthy and thick!
Thank you. I usually have a v-shape to my hair but I love this blunt shape too!
You weren't afraid to do what was needed...I LOVED IT!!! FANTASTIC JOB!!!
Look! Usually I try to tip toe around cutting my ends and trim them as needed but at this point it has to be done.

I was worried my split ends might travel too far up the hair shaft and I’d be forced to almost do a big chop so I had to let them go now.

I’m glad this will be useful for you. I’ve never cut this much of my own hair before but this technique was easy with no fuss.
This is just what I need to do..stuck at waist length. Yep damaged need to GOOOOOOOO 😁...Gonna use this method THANK YOU!!
True I’m going to get mine done on the 15th. I have been deceiving myself about the need to cut it but all the fairy knots and breaking are too much 😢
Your hair looks really amazing after the cut. Your process was rather interesting, and very cool.
Your hair is very long ❤ I wish my real hair could grow that long 😭😭😭😭.

I usually did it as needed but I will give this a try so I can stay on top of it. Thank you
Agreed! I dust every 2-3 months.

Great job on the cut! I don't think I could do it myself so you are brave!
Thank you! I don’t have a trusted stylist so I had to do what I had to do.

Listen once you cut those dead ends off and see your hair spring back to life you won’t miss them! I didn’t! Happy cutting🙂
I did this in January… though I miss the length. The thickness and health is better
Health over length right now 🙌🏾
The end result is sooooo amazing and satisfying to see!

Look up Lunar Hair Cutting Calendar March 2023. Always Cut your hair on the growing of the moon.
This video is great and very thorough !
Just trimmed my ends this morning. Wasn't too bad, took an inch off to be safe.

Yes! Go ahead and let it go 🙌🏾 It feels so much better afterwards.
I love a good blunt cut, your hair is so beautiful ❤
Thank you!!
I just cut my hair the other day and took like 3 inches off it’s shorter but it’ll grow back health over length 😭😂🥰
Exactly!

Hahaha im sure 😆
You did a really good job
Thank you 😊
Beautiful video. Just subscribed. ❤
Thank you so much! And thank you for subbing 🙂
Really great job
Thank you 😊
You did so good! Were you exhausted afterwards? You had to cut a whole lot!
Hahahaha I did do this whole process over 2 days!
Can you post a haircare routine?
I don’t currently have one 🫣. I’m a bit of a lazy natural but I definitely need one now to take care of this fresh cut.
It looks great! How long had it been since your last trim?
Thank you…..oooohhhh I couldn’t even tell you 🫣
Vary good you is not scared to cut them ENDS.. Don't care about LENGTH ‼‼.. It will grow back.. Thank you..👌👍😂🤣🌞
Yes! Thank you
Looks very good
What heat protector did you use?
I used L’Oréal Sleek It iron straight heatspray
All the tugging and heat is what brings most damage to hair
what kind of blow dryer?
A pretty standard blow dryer- I think it’s called infinitipro by Conair from Target.
That’s one year full of hair growth she cut off 😮
I know right 🫠
Great job
Thank you 😊
Brava!
Blunting my ends with time bc o self trim and don’t have much time for my hair every week. Blunt ends are much better imo
This is my first self trim where it was this blunt and I really enjoyed it.
Good job

Cutting your hair does not make it grow faster. It's a meth; it just makes it look nicer and even.
It doesn’t make your hair grew faster, but it helps improve length retention by slowing breakage at the ends.
I agree with you both.
I'm new to your channel
