Save the brush from the Givenchy brow gel! Since you know that the brush gives your brows a great effect, you can clean it and use it in correlation with the soap :)

Hey! Just a suggestion for the future from one beauty lover to another - as you are being conscious of pricing in general in the last little while, I would suggest that when you are comparing prices of products you compare dollars per oz/mL. This would be a more accurate representation of the actual cost. For example: lancome corrector is (in Canada) $37 per 12ml, and sephora brand one is $18 per 3.84mL making it a rough equivalent of $54 for the same amount of product as the Lancome provides. In short - the sephora product is actually $17 MORE than the lancome. Therefore, the price differential for these two products is actually very considerable :) There are other things to include in the "buying algorithm", of course - the "feel" of it, the spreadability, the pigment concentration, etc. But the "low" price of the sephora product can be deceiving and some simple algebra will put it into perspective :)
So true. My husband looks at these things, because he's a builder! I just bought a big bottle of Lancome cleanser, because I realised that it is more cost-effective than all the 'cheap' wipes I usually used. Moreover, I chose that product on the strength of a sample that lasted me for two weeks! In terms of quality, there has been a visible difference in my skin - I am over 50 and so I notice that I do have to take more care than I used to. I don't buy high-end for everything, but in this case, it seemed like money well spent.
Yeah this is very solid advice. Per use something that seems affordable can really add up. I recall her looking at things at more of a per use basis during her No-buy year. Though maybe with a set monthly budget a larger up-front cost is more prohibitive even if it’s a better buy in the long run. 🤔
I feel like I talk CONSTANTLY about price per use on this channel! I'm pretty sure I even said in this video that the Lancome product is likely much better value for money than the Sephora one?? I hope I didn't edit that out, I thought it was right at the end of the segment about color corrector. I totally agree that it's the right way to approach budgeting for products. You might enjoy my video about how my no-buy changed my skincare routine, it's a total price-per-use fest: ua-cam.com/video/9lybO1kz5UA/v-deo.html
I love Hannah's channel. Not only did I just go look up and enjoy The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, but I also viewed several lovely Alphonse Mucha print images. Thank you for the culturally edifying content and comments!
My favorite parts of the week are when you have a new video up is to watch it while I am getting ready for work. Thank you for sharing your insights. I've learned a lot from you and its helped curb my shopping addiction.
Don’t worry. I love that you have long videos. I enjoy watching them either during breakfast or while doing my own makeup. Don’t ever get rid of the long, chatty videos. It’s what makes you, you! :)
Plain grapeseed oil is actualy pretty good, i use it and there is no fuss. I really like it and it seems to be really good for my skin problems like acne and dermatitis. Sory for the bad english.
I am really excited for you that you are moving! Moving is such a wonderful thing but it can get so stressful as well, so I hope that YOU remember to take good care of yourself!!! If I may suggest a video, would you feel comfortable doing a new apartment/room tour? You have such good taste and I love seeing snippets of your house!
I loved this - your coy glee at no longer having to listen to that dog, your beautiful makeup and hair, your blouse, your self-awareness and humour. And you've convinced me to try soap brows today!
I'm a big fan of making my own cleansing oils. I started out with the simple one as well but when it got harder to find I decided to try DIY. It is actually super simple to make one yourself and I like how customizable it is. I don't think I will go back to buying cleansing oils after the great experience I've had making my own. I hope you enjoy it as well!
I love that you just drop a little Coleridge in an empties video lol. I went through a HUGE Coleridge obsession when I was like 15, and can still recite the Frost at Midnight from memory :)
Thank you so much for the shoutout Hannah! You are the best! Also I am loving for this look today with your hair, hoops, top and makeup. You are killing it!
Pears is a glycerin soap you can find in many places. It has a tingle and a strong smell though. Something else is to buy clear melt and pour soap. Low sweat melt and pour is more for if you're layering with other soaps. You can customize the soap with molds, colorants, and even fragrance if you want. Alternatively, look on Etsy. If you customize your own soap, you can do them for bathroom, kitchen, etc.
I bet you'll have a lot of empties next time. Sometimes I even I have fewer empties it's because I have a lot that is close to being finished. That UD primer sounds really good. I have the Tatcha one and really like it. It will be a long time before I run out of primer, though. Thanks for sharing! Loved the photo of your loft on IG!
Definitely try making your own cleansing oil. You’ll be as amazed by that as you are the soap brow! I use a combo of hemp, olive, and avocado currently, but find that many different ones work fine. My skin is pretty easy. I also use it as a body oil after the shower with some orange essential oil mixed in.
The makeup tones and shirt color and lipstick color all match perfectly. You look amazing. (And I like hearing the dog barking in the background for some reason. I'm gonna miss Stuffy's(?) bark.)
Hannah, your content has given me so much to think about and consider when buying beauty products. I've been so much more discerning about purchasing products lately! For example, after this video I thought "wow, that primer sounds incredible! Let me go check it out at Sephora!" I went today and even though there was a mini size which in the past I would've just bought instead of asking for a sample to test out first, I didn't! I asked for a sample! I also asked for another sample of a product I had been considering but wanted to make sure it would be a good match for my skin. That's a big rambly way to say thank you for your thought provoking content. And I am SO finally trying soap brows tomorrow because your brows have just looked incredible in every video since you started doing them.
After you mentioned earlier that the Simple oil was being discontinued, I went on the hunt. Dr. Dray gave rave reviews to the Hada Labo cleansing oil. It's about twice as expensive, but still affordable and wonderful! On Amazon the pump bottle was free shipping but takes a month from Japan. However, the refill pack has prime shipping, is cheaper and I just put it in my empty Simple bottle. Hope that helps. You look amazing in this video babe! Hope the move is going well!💖
@@HannahLouisePoston You're welcome! Also, making 2 and a half empties last 30 minutes is a plus for us! At least for me, it means a satisfyingly long Hannah video!💖
For the green color corrector, physicians formula makes a really great one that lasts a very long time, too. I’ve tried the Lancôme one as a sample and I preferred my physicians formula one instead.
I used to love the one that had green on one end and i believe a yellow or peach color on the other end. so wonderful to have my red patches and under eye helper in one
Just read Cambri's tip about saving the brow gel brush, I have heard that if you like a certain mascara brush, save it and use it with another brand. I don't use a lot of mascara on my lids because I wear contacts. I coat the very tips and wear a primer so it won't be so sticky.
I find I prefer mini size mascaras. I think it’s the shorter tube honestly. I feel the mascara just goes further before it dries out and less chance of not finishing it.
I agree with your assessment of the IT Superhero mascara. I really love it, but it does get gunky like you described and it dries out super fast. Can't wait to hear if you stumble upon another one you like at a more reasonable price point. I haven't had any luck...
You probably wouldn't be caught dead in a Dollar Tree 😂 but the Pears brand glycerin bar soap most people use for soap brows is always available there. It may also be sold at Target and you can probably find other natural clear glycerin soaps that are prettier but the Pears one is actually cute. ☺
Avon true color love at first lash mascara..BEST mascara I’ve EVER used!! $8.99 and the formula is beautiful. It curls the lashes and separates them beautifully. Can also build it up for volume and the best part is, the formula is designed to condition and strengthen the lashes. My lashes have never looked better. I’ve raves about it so many times! I will never be without it.
Your channel is a recent discovery for me and I’ve been consuming quite a bit of your content over the last few weeks! As a fellow pale person, whose main cosmetic skin concern is redness, you’ve got me thinking maybe I should try a color corrector. Other than that, this comment isn’t about empties at all, it’s about sunscreen! I had a carcinoma removed from my face last year at the age of 30 (and I thought I was doing decently well with the sun protection... 😑) so I’m pretty passionate about finding my perfect sunscreen, and the Erin’s Faces one really intrigued me. However, when I checked it out I noticed that it’s only 5% zinc oxide. Titanium dioxide doesn’t block enough UVA to be considered broad spectrum, and zinc oxide’s UVA protection isn’t great either at such a low percentage. (In my search I have found this to be the case with many sunscreens, because everyone wants it to be as transparent as possible.) I don't know about the US but in the UK I don't think the simple cleanser is discontinued. Unless its a US specific discontinuation I think you will be able to repurchase eventually if you wanted!
I may have suggested it before but the Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil is incredible! I kept a bottle of an old cleansing oil and just started refilling it with that because they sell refill packs for around $6 on Amazon and eBay. It's also better than chucking out a new pump or flip top, which you can't recycle, every few months!
I felt the same way about the superhero stretch and complained about it in my most recent empties from a few days ago! That never happens to me so who knows what's up? In any case, I love your empties video! Using things up 🙏
Good luck with the move beautiful!! Also animal smell?? Haha that could mean so many things!!! I love that descriptor! (Only beaten by Julene’s description of course!!!)
I’m a very greasy person and create my own natural oils (mostly on the face), but I do enjoy nail oils like jojoba oil. I tried it on my hair and it didn’t work out so I tried the Moroccanoil. I haven’t find a universal oil that works for hair and nails.
hey hannah, i haven left a comment in a long time but of course i have been consistently watching still and mostly wishing you would post a video daily, thats how much i love your content and personality. you look especially beautiful in this video with the good old pony tail, absolutely gorgeous makeup with this elegant yet sexy blouse and gold hoops. i think perfection comes to mind. ok ok, im done with the compliments. x: just wanted to tell you your brows have never looked better with soap brows so its definitely a triple win (looking good, check. saving money, check. reducing waste, check.) and also if the simple hydrating cleanser is really discontinued for you and you would still like to use it (after trying others and/or making your own), i could send it to you when you run out. it is still available where i am. oh and i almost forgot to ask if you've heard of this korean brand, cosrx. i have been looking at their products recently and they seem to be made with very few yet effective ingredients at a really good price and reviews seem to be very positive. i will be getting a few of their products to try soon. i also noticed that the US prices are way higher than what i am paying for so if you are interested i can get them and send it to you as well.
Makeup revolution have a colour corrector in a formula I really love (the one that meant to be a dupe for shape tape but is so much more serum like and amazing )
Why do I love you and your videos so much? Can we just be like best friends and chat all the time? I want another 2 hour half cousins podcast episode because I can't get enough of it all! Lol, I sound obsessed... seriously, if I had to only be subscribed to one channel on UA-cam, it would be yours, no doubt.
Soap Brow is a brand. They sell you tiny little tins with 25g of soap in it. For about £12! A total rip off, when a huge bar of a Pear soap is pence for 125g. 🙄
I love your long videos 🤗 ... but I do have a question, can you tell me the name of your video where you mentioned the new vitamin c serum you are using? I am running out of my drunk elephant and want to try something cheaper, and i missed the one on Ulta’s sale yesterday ... 😕
Abigail FTW! Amazing! Yes, it's the one from Timeless. I've been keeping it in the fridge and using 8 drops every morning and I love it. I found a code by searching online and it ended up being about $22 with shipping, I think.
Do i remember well that ur sunscreen has only Titanium Dioxide? In that case u r not protected against UVA1 rays which are the most dangerous for aging
here it is on Poshmark for much less! go.magik.ly/ml/m4ex/ & go.magik.ly/ml/m4ez/ There are some on Ebay too if you search "equipment butterfly blouse." Mine is from several seasons ago so it's on the resale market :)
Hi Hannah :-) The last time I was at Sephora, I was talking to one of the employees about the Sephora collection. She said that it was created by Louis Vuitton. They use inexpensive packaging and a very low amount of advertising to offer it as a lower priced alternative to the the higher end brands they carry. I have only tried one face bush, their 10-Hour Wear Perfection Foundation ($20) and their Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer ($14) but those 3 are hands down, my favorite products in their respective categories of (and I was a loyal Lancôme girl for over a decade.) p.s. YOU are the inspiration for my no buy year and my channel. ;-) Keep up your simply amazing work!
Oh I used to be subscribed to love Heatherette! I had to unsubscribe for two reasons. she is just a floating head on a white background and I felt uninspired watching her even tho I like her content. and she dogged the Emily Noel palette while she keeps products that she admits are wildly unflattering on her. I’m sure she was fun in person though. Not going to lie, I will miss Stuffy for his name alone!!

Hello Hannah, I recommend trying the Pears glycerin soap for brows. Works really well and goes on very clear leaving no colour on your brows.
I use straight sweet almond oil as a cleansing oil and it is absolutely amazing! I love the NOW Foods brand.
With the superhero mascara I found when it gets like that if I take the spoolie out and wash it out completely and dry it then use it, it’s like new
you're making me want that primer, damn you!
a great oil Clenser is the Sephora Collection one. takes EVERYTHING off.
The new Ponds cleansing balm is pretty awesome, and honestly only takes a small amount to remove all your makeup. I highly recommend!
Looking fabulous as always Hannah!

For Lancome you cut tube in the middle and use q-tip to get product out. Then insert one half back in the other.
Add a couple of drops of eye drops to your dried out mascara, it totally revives it.

hey hanna, you can try using eyelash glue as eyebrow gel. Ms Universe Catriona Gray does it it Duo
Goodbye Stuffie-you will forever be remembered as a chatty pooch.
i love the body shop silky oil cleanser, it’s $21 for 6.76 oz i believe? but i usually am able to get it on sale for about $16
The brow gel from Nudigoods on Etsy is amazing
Oh my goodness, "Rime of the Ancient Primer-er" I love it! Hopefully no albatrosses here. ;)
I was waiting for the part you’d say: “and that is it...”. Didn’t happen lol
Maybe you should do the paking party challenge from the minimalists ;) if you don't only want to minimise you budget
Wait, what?!?! I thought soap brow was a brand! Lol. This is brilliant!
Soap Brow is a brand. They sell you tiny little tins with 25g of soap in it. For about £12! A total rip off, when a huge bar of a Pear soap is pence for 125g. 🙄
Esther Urwin got it! Thanks for explaining!
Rachel Lopez ❤️
So sad the simple grape seed oil cleanser is gone... I bought the @hadalabo olive oil cleanser,
Love it but more expensive
I love your long videos 🤗 ... but I do have a question, can you tell me the name of your video where you mentioned the new vitamin c serum you are using? I am running out of my drunk elephant and want to try something cheaper, and i missed the one on Ulta’s sale yesterday ... 😕
Sana Mafizer I believe she is using the timeless one
Hi! She talks about it in the “how I spent my January budget” video, starting around the 6 minute 20 second mark☺️
Kristen Yorama thank you 🙏🏼❤️
Abigail Alway thank you 🙏🏼❤️ I will check that out!
In that case u r not protected against UVA1 rays which are the most dangerous for aging
girl you had 10 empties!!! how is that small??? 5 is a good month for me loll
it's small compared to all of my previous empties videos
It's like "Rime of the Ancient... Primer...ers" over here.
What is "cleaning mascara" ? Is it wiping off the gunk that comes out on the end of the brush?
I guess I was thinking that maybe some people clean the mouth of the tube from time to time?
@@HannahLouisePoston that's what I thought you were saying.. all the gunk that you have to scrape off of the end of the brush
💚💚💚
Hada Labo cleansing oil is really good and ~$10
Me: Oh I love Hannah's top
Me: Nice, she has the brand listed
Me: Goolges Element Butterfly button up
Me: Faints at price
here it is on Poshmark for much less! go.magik.ly/ml/m4ex/ & go.magik.ly/ml/m4ez/ There are some on Ebay too if you search "equipment butterfly blouse." Mine is from several seasons ago so it's on the resale market :)
Yay- a new video! Good luck on the move 🌺
Omg, A+++ for the Coleridge reference.
:)
Animal smell? No thanks. 🤢🤢🤢
