Man, seeing you guys covering the new game reminds me of when I used to watch you guys cover Mafia 3 back in highschool. Now I'm in my mid 20s. How time flies! I hope you both are doing well!
Love seeing this it definitely doesn't feel that long ago does it, but here we all are! :) We're good mate, hope you're doing great too! Excited for the game?
@TripleADigest Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical after Mafia 3, but not too much that I'm not gonna pre-order the game. Idk how I feel about the "This isn't going to be as big as Mafia 3" quote considering it was a huge game, albeit pretty bloated. If it's more story-driven like Mafia 2 or even Mafia DE, then the game is in good hands. I just hope they don't reuse Lincoln's animations and mocap because it was noticeably a bit awkward when Tommy would move around like a big army soldier when he was just a cab driver lol
I will 100% take quality of quantity. I expect the game to at least be 15-20 hours. With it being a smaller project it could be shorter but so far it looks great and the tone is perfect
100% with you. So many games are bloated nowadays anyway. It's nice having a story-focused game that hits the 12 to 15 hour mark and respects your time.
So glad that you are back covering Mafia in all it's glory, especially as we continue on the road to The Old Country. Glad they are focussing more on a story as Mafia III's open world took away from its story imo. Hopefully it's still decent in length. Great video there. 👍
@@TripleADigest Yeah im curious how that is gonna be, especially since CDPR is using UE5 too and contribute to the engine's development which if Mafia 4 uses UE5 would benefit from. I do hope we still get freeride mode and if the game is good DLC
- Make the main story at least 30 hours long, detailed , gritty, and dark - Have a respect system as you progress - Add free ride at the end of the finished story with atleast 20 plus missions that can tie into the main story even afterwards - No regenerating health - Only can carry no more than 3 weapons at a time - NO seeing through walls - Smart next level adaptive A.I
@@carbon301 That is the smaller side....there are plenty smaller budget games with longevity and details....that's just basic fundamentals ... nobody doesn't wanna spend $70 on a beautiful but yet bare bones game that you can beat in a day or 2 day like Mafia 2 ....
You have an obsession with side missions like most video gamers do. Very typical. Settle down, kid. The story itself is all you need. Look at the Mafia 2 DLC, Joe’s Adventures, for example. Some of the content there was removed from the main game. Look at missions like Bomb Under the Seat, Highway Speed Racing, and Can’t Stop Me Now. Are those the kind of side missions you want? Lol.
So basically Red Dead Redemption Sicily? Jokes apart, really excited for this. Kinda unique timeline and location which video games didn't exlore before.
Not gonna lie this trailer got me excited as hell and seeing you guys cover it makes me more excited !!! Enzo character model looks a bit too modern especially with the hairstyle to be 1900’s Sicily but I’ll let it pass this trailer is heavy old school mafia in terms of how it started so I can’t wait to see more from this.
The Mafia games have so much substance. I'm sure the story of this game will blow us away. I only watched the trailer and I'm already in love with these characters.
Mafia 2 is still the Goat and I wish they'd give that a uncut version but this looks promising. Crazy to me that mafia 3 was the most expensive and yet the most disappointing! I feel hangar 13 when making 3 had no idea what the franchise was about and have since learned a lot on what makes this franchise unique.
I hope the gameplay feels heavier. I hope its a slower experience. The world back then just functioned that way. Id enjoy a 5 minute trip out in the countryside that ends in a good fight.
We need a next gen patch for the mafia trilogy let it run all games run at 60fps and some fixes for Mafia 3 if they do this it can increase the chances for more players jumping into the mafia franchise.
I hope this is a start of a new trilogy with the same protagonist and we see the story evolve from “the old country” Sicily to NYC/Chicago/Vegas, from being made to becoming a don in the final game.
What U guess the love interest is don Torrisis daughter, used like Sarah mafia I was tommy´s wife your character and was Luigis daughter the owner of the bar you´r family worked from. So even though Sarah was not daughter of the don in a blood way it was close enough.
thought we are sure the game will be linear, i still hope that we could do infinite approaches in our way in all levels. i need that kind of immersive sim-like gameplay
I hope the combat is heavy. With the slow, cumbersome, weighty and unreliable firearms of yesteryear, it cannot afford to have nimble and fast paced shootouts.
I don't like what ubsaid about mafia never being about the open world. That is revisionist history. Mafia 1 didn't have the technology, Mafia 2 was rushed out and incomplete and Mafia 3 and 1 remake cut corners. The Mafia series having dead open worlds is not a traditional design feature but a continuous symptom of something else.
yeah map is big but has nothing to do. i love mafia2 but this game has only story missions, no day-night cycle, no side missions...... just fucking waste on a big beautiful world
Lol if We know how the "Mafia" series and how Take 2 Works, U know they always Tie into The other "Mafia" Ganes, so hopefully They Give us an "Official" Explanation 2 What happened 2 Joe in "Mafia 2", When some hodden tie in lol That Would be insane lol 👀😤😭😭😭
I just hope they change the gameplay to not be like mafia 3 or mafia de. I dont like the arcady feel of that engine. It should feel like a smoother mafia 2 or better.
Being smaller than Mafia III and going back to being story driven is a good thing, because the game play loop in Mafia III was incredibly repetitive and boring. The game releasing in the state it did probably didn't help either.
Mafia is back boys, it's so back! What are your thoughts on that trailer? Loving the vibe and tone already

Same lol

Can’t wait for this game. Very excited to see where it leads us
It looks cool so far. Excited!
I hope you can play it in italian. It would make the game so much more immersive

Completely! Was a good trailer to set the tone overall. Glad there's a strong focus on narrative but excited to see more gameplay too.
Im pumped there's already a lot of details despite me still asking questions
Exciting times it's looking beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the game run on unreal engine, see how it pans out!

Slow down there lol, they said this game was going to on the smaller side.

Calm down it's a prequel the next one will be open world.
30 hours? Slow down junior lmao

I had no idea the devs actually veseted Sicily, mekes meh even moar hyped roight naoo
So basically Red Dead Redemption Sicily?
Jokes apart, really excited for this. Kinda unique timeline and location which video games didn't exlore before.
Yeah yeah. You can only imagine what John and the gang are doing in America while shit are going down in Sicily.
great video, this dude actually does his research instead of making a slop reaction video like most youtubers
Mafia 4 needs to be set in 70s/80s Vegas baby
Vegas is the perfect setting for Mafia 4! We'll see how the old country pans out first. But it's looking nice so far :)
Was hoping this would be the 70s vegas but I'm not complaining
@@NTEDOG561wdym? We still don’t know what the setting will be
Yea that would be dope fr
Is this not Mafia 4?
I enjoyed ALL Mafia games, great to see the guys on this channel still giving us the news!
Not enough people talking about the camera blur when Enzo gets shot at. Could be a gameplay mechanic?? Idk but would make sense.
Love this setting, been waiting for it for a long time, also really liking Enzos look
I can’t fricking wait when it comes out 😝
Not too long of a wait :)

Oh its that time again!
Oh you know it's time!
The Mafia games have so much substance. I'm sure the story of this game will blow us away. I only watched the trailer and I'm already in love with these characters.
“Ah, we love where we are born, we Sicilians… but Sicily does not love us.”
- Mario Puzo, The Sicilian
Holy shit, a Male protagonist. Looks like I might be buying video games again after all.
Mafia 2 is too short and linear mafia city of lost heaven is goat
@@le4-677Talk to him!!! The city of lost heaven was different... 🔥👌🏾💯
Mafia 2’s story was so great, I can’t wait for this one. Mafia 1’s was pretty damn good too, but 2 really grabbed me
I recently watched the godfather film. I am feeling vibes from this game trailer.
I hope the gameplay feels heavier. I hope its a slower experience. The world back then just functioned that way. Id enjoy a 5 minute trip out in the countryside that ends in a good fight.
Would really like to see multiple games with the same character to see the character grow kinda like the ezio games in assassins creed
Me too, a mafia character deserves his own trilogy
I'm willing to bet that Enzo is Enzo Calo aka "DON Calo" or Don Pepone
I been to Sicily, I cant wait to see if they have beautiful ocean side coastal towns and of course the mountainous areas and tinier towns
We need a next gen patch for the mafia trilogy let it run all games run at 60fps and some fixes for Mafia 3 if they do this it can increase the chances for more players jumping into the mafia franchise.

Man that would be awesome, im tired of games that change protagonists after every game (looking at you Assassins Creed 🤣)
Learning how to swear in Italian nice😏😏
great video!
Thank you! :)
Im gonna platinum this masterpiece
Finally a new Mafia!
Is that song that plays in the intro from Mafia Old Country? I like it 👍
So does it have some to do with the previous mafias story
Will be using weapons like the M91 Carcano?
Ha, sign of the times
I like to see in the trailer is very good and the Don torrisi is similar angelo bronte in RD2 i like that.
True! The Don does look and sound awesome
What U guess the love interest is don Torrisis daughter, used like Sarah mafia I was tommy´s wife your character and was Luigis daughter the owner of the bar you´r family worked from. So even though Sarah was not daughter of the don in a blood way it was close enough.
100 hours of Gameplay plzz!!
50 Hours?
Glad to find your channel, mate. Don't hear enough Scottish voices on here and your commentary is very professional. Subbed.
We appreciate that mate. The channel has a Scotsman and Irishman so there's a joke in there somewhere
thought we are sure the game will be linear, i still hope that we could do infinite approaches in our way in all levels. i need that kind of immersive sim-like gameplay
This should keep us busy until gta6
Something tells me this love interest is gonna end tragically these do come with consequence.
Hopefully they finally give you online play
Lol I didn't feel like it set a dark tone
i'm buying the shit out of this
I hope this game isn't a broken mess I'm very skeptical of Hanger 13 Mafia 3 was really bad but Mafia DE Was a really good game .
Yea Mafia Definitive Edition was 🔥💯
I hope the combat is heavy. With the slow, cumbersome, weighty and unreliable firearms of yesteryear, it cannot afford to have nimble and fast paced shootouts.
Are we playing as the Don from mafia 1?
It be cool but I don't think so but good chance he could be in the game similar to John Martson in RDR2
So it’s gonna be how it all started ?
Are you from Glasgow or Edinburgh?)
Not very thrilled about the use of stutter engine 5. Let's hope they prove me wrong.
Curious to see how it performs. Fingers crossed I guess

This is 100% correct, especially with Mafia 2. So many side activities were cut in that game like gambling, side missions etc

Curious to see more gunplay and gameplay in general. Hoping for some nice improvements in that regard. We'll see!
Bring Godfather back if you can't bring guys with you like Godfather 2
Open World-??
Get Netflix peaky tv show vibes I buy game
Finally, a true masculine game with 0 woke stupidity and internet trash.
The game looks promising, but don’t get your hopes up. I was overhyped for mafia 3 and turned out to be trash
nobody wanted this shit we wanted 1970 las vegas also it will flop releasing it in the same year as gta 6
No it won't, it won't flop, calm down
