Yes, i definitily experience the wavy straight line. Nothing seems like a straight line, and slightly moving as a slow progressive wave that never reach it’s peak.
I just found out that I have VSS like a month ago. I just woke up 1 morning and it was there. But it's not very severe. I am also experiencing other symptoms like tightening in my head ang headaches on 1 side of my head and , my neck also feels tight and a bit numb. Same as him I am also taking a supplement and it helped me a lot. The supplement's name is Quantumin it's made by a filipino doctor and dots are gone I drink it and I also put drops on my eyes twice a day and I also put some on my head and now I feel so much better. I'm not saying thay you should try but it worked for me. You also need to help the supplement by sleeping early and getting enough sleep like 8 hrs. Less usage of gadgets go outside more.
I took MDMA and LSD and after a month I had severe anxiety for a few weeks. Developed eye floaters after a month or two, visual snow as well, trails behind objects, black shadow circles on light surfaces or blue sky which spiral. I'm only 21 and this really sucks. One of my biggest fears were that I was going crazy but I see it's something a decent amount of people have. It just saddens me that there's no cure and with this one life I have I have to have this filter which affects everything I do.
Things that people with VVS all have in common, people that over think, people that are very aware, people that have anxiety even if they know it or not, a lot of the time its after a drug experience, people with childhood trauma, people with auto immune conditions. You learn to live with it then you forget about it most days or it gets to the point it doesn't bother you anymore. I use to be riddled with anxiety as a kid and got VVS at 15 or so. Now 27 and its nothing more then a minor inconvenience. Eat healthy and exercise.
I haven’t been diagnosed, but I know I have it. I asked my family when I was really young “the colored dots are my friends” , that sounds creepy but I was a lonely child. But i always had static and these clusters of redbluegreen dots that I still get today. It’s only gotten worse as I get older.
@ProfeMacaCES are your dots in clusters or all over ? I see them all over, but I have a specific aura that’s the colored dots that explode and fade almost like a firework
Man, I’ve had this my whole life. I couldn’t imagine developing it out of nowhere that must have been very scary. I always knew something was wrong but always checked out at the doctors. Was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease who knows how long the doctors have missed that for maybe I was born with that too. Some say the vision issues can be caused from chronic Lyme disease , I was bit as a kid I don’t even know if the docs checked me probably not. I tested couple years back just for the hell of it and was negative. I kinda gave up searching but it does make me feel better that there’s others like me out there. Doctors like to chalk it up to anxiety I was prescribed tons of meds lol klonopin helps.
Oh man I'm sorry for what you are going through. I have had VSS for as long as I can remember but I can't imagine having it come on so suddenly later in life. If anyone can relate to me, please share. I've definitely got VSS now, but the intensity of the other effects aside from the snow, such as the tracers or the appearance of everything being under red and green lamps come and go. The snow itself and the afterimages are relatively mild most of the time, mild enough that I'm not in a constant state of panic about them anymore. I also see an aura of light around people if they contrast with their background. Got the tinnitus now as well. Fortunately the intensity fluctuates, because when that gets really really loud, it's the scariest one. I would most definitely kill myself if I knew I would have to live that way. I've been having bizarre attacks almost always at night too, where all of the visual symptoms hit me hard at once along with this weird psychology that is almost like being drunk or stoned or something. It's neither good nor bad in itself, just really different, and I really focus on the present moment and become introspective. My anxiety is quite bad and I am also lazy now, I just lay around at home in bed, even though I take adderall and drink coffee, so I really should have no problem staying out of bed. I think these parts might be a consequence of the belief that the good section of my life is over, and not caring whether or not I live or die anymore. I don't think they are neurological symptoms. Could be wrong about that. I stayed awake drinking coffee for days because I was afraid to fall asleep because when these attacks happens my body becomes so intensely relaxed that my breathing almost stops entirely. It is horrifying, almost like if your foot falls asleep and you can't move it, but it's like it's my chest and diaphragm falling asleep so the inability to move is the inability to breathe. Also, my arm strength has gotten so weak, my arms are so easily tired. Also, I have stinging eye pain all the time. Also, my arms and legs fall asleep so easily, just sitting in normal positions. Have you had any of these other symptoms? I've been having bizarre attacks at night too, where all of the visual symptoms hit me hard at once. I stayed awake drinking coffee for days because I was afraid to fall asleep because when this happens my body becomes so intensely relaxed that my breathing almost stops entirely. I have a burn on my hand from a month ago when I touched my hand to the inside of the oven. At the time I thought it wouldn't even leave a mark and that I pulled my hand away instantly. By the look of my hand now, I can see that I had held it against the burning metal for a moment before realizing that I was touching something hot. Something is definitely wrong with my nerves and muscles, or the parts of the nervous system and brain connected to them. My arms are very tired from all this typing now.
I'll be honest I'm way to lazy to read all of that. But what I can tell you is that I got VVS at 15, I am now 27. I use to be a very anxious person. Very hyper aware, very over analytical. I have an auto immune condition so I believe VVS has to do with the immune system attacking itself when we have gone through a very traumatic event. Your life will be way better once you except that all of this is here to stay. You only live once so learn to enjoy it or live the rest of your life in misery. Learn to relax, how? Eat very healthy, exercise often, get plenty of sunlight and build good relationships with people, pick up some hobbies and find a way to occupy your mind.

I also really had a same story First : trauma stress and severe anxiety Second : beginning and flourishing floaters Third : visual snow lots of flashes of light after images and so hazy flickering vision that flickers like old tv In my case i had a myopia since childhood
Hey there- I know this is from a longtime ago yet if you are still interested in sharing our video content, please email me directly at steven@visualsnowinitiative.org. Thanks.
Visual snow..floater.When I look at something then I notice how everything seems to be flickering and trembling as if the world around me was vibrating. Anyone else who has this? To me this is definitely not normal but no doctor could help me with it. I also have migraine aura. I am affraid i will lose my vision
Heyi same thing happening with me my vision is vibration and trembling it is more noticeable when I sees patterns.but I don't see static.what is that 😢😢😢?
I got it after using LSD and MDMA. And been smoking weed for some years. I don’t wanna say that is the reason for it, but... it wouldn’t surprise me if it was.
Hi there, Please note that if taken/taking any hallucinogenic substance or illicit/recreational drugs, this condition differs from VSS, and it is called HPPD. Hallucinogens or illicit drug use can trigger a similar disturbance to VSS symptoms. However, Visual Snow Syndrome is entirely independent of drug triggers and can be caused when born or spontaneously. Hope that helps!
@@VisualSnowInitiative I've seen the simulators and I 100% have VSS. But can zone it out much like tinnitus. I often forget about if for weeks at a time then it comes to mind and can't unsee it. Only noticable on flat objects like the sky, walls, white computer monitor back drops, in the dark, I also have light sensitivities and run blue filters on everything. Idk the best way I could describe it is that its like static TV but a very mild opacity overlay, can't tell if it's moving very fast or slow. The speed is almost unmeasurable as you can't really focus on one spot as it's ever changing. Never wiggling more so strobing sparkles all over like if you look at a NASA space photo with billions of galaxies everywhere. My only medical issues are that I have hypothyroidism so maybe it has something to do with the endocrine system and the hypothalamus? But I'm sure that's a far fetch idea.

Your story is my story
I also really had a same story
First : trauma stress and severe anxiety
Second : beginning and flourishing floaters
Third : visual snow lots of flashes of light after images and so hazy flickering vision that flickers like old tv
In my case i had a myopia since childhood
Thanks for sharing. We feel you ❤️ We are always here for support & resources.

Does anybody has tremors from vss?
Visual snow..floater.When I look at something then I notice how everything seems to be flickering and trembling as if the world around me was vibrating. Anyone else who has this? To me this is definitely not normal but no doctor could help me with it. I also have migraine aura. I am affraid i will lose my vision
Heyi same thing happening with me my vision is vibration and trembling it is more noticeable when I sees patterns.but I don't see static.what is that 😢😢😢?
I got it after using LSD and MDMA. And been smoking weed for some years. I don’t wanna say that is the reason for it, but... it wouldn’t surprise me if it was.
drugs can defiantly be a trigger for some people.
M vss patient anyone face problem in night around headlights and hallows
Yes halos around lights like street lamps and starburst and halos around car head lights at night for me.
Thank you for sharing your VSS experience, we hope that your symptoms have improved and you're doing okay. Stay strong!!!
The floaters are the worst part of it for me.
I get visual snow constant static scary tbh
So sorry Anthony, we understand what you're going through.
Does anyone else have vivid hallucinations as well??
