yes a Studie 289. It originally had a three on the tree. When Thalo got the car it had a chevy motor and trans. We put in the 289/ auto trans combo from a 54'. The driveshaft was made custom to fit. This was a Frankenstein-build for certain!
You're right. The grill slants are off of a '54. We didn't have the original 53 slants, and had an extra set of '54's, so that's what went on. The whole car is Frankenstiend together from many loose parts.
