Start to finish- 1956 chevy truck resto-mod project HD 1080p
Another 500+hrs of my life condensed into 8 minutes. This is a 1956 Chevy 3200 series long bed pick-up truck. Built up and bored GM350 with a 4-on-the-floor Saginaw transmission. Picked up in Oregon and trailered back home to the bay. This was a mostly mechanical project- minimal body work at this point, only addressing the serious stuff. This was the old owner's high-school project that had sat 30+ years. I got to use a huge duffle bag of vintage parts for this one that came with the truck. Actually did a bunch of custom work to get this one running and driving solid. This truck was a big hit at the Les Claypool car show in Petaluma.

$500 craigslist find- 1953 Studebaker Commander wrapped around a tree in the rear end. Oakland Sam showed us how an old-school body shop guy handles business. 1000 hrs condensed into a 5 minute clip shows the a lot of the work required to pull a project like this off on a limited budget. This was super fun working with these guys, helping to bring this classic back on the road.

My first car restoration job- probably 1000 hrs of work condensed into an 8 minute clip. This was my lady's grandfather's car he bought new in 1970. It sat for years not running, rusting away, unattended until I got the OK to work on it. Almost a frame off restoration, this car got all new wiring, suspension, engine and transmission, brakes, carpeting....So rewarding to bring new life to this c...
1952 Chevy Pickup on Dyno HD 1080p

1952 Chevy Truck by Alexie P. Dyno reading: 410 WHP. Coilovers, power steering, 4-link rear, 6L built-up engine, 4-speed trans. I remember driving this truck in High School before the V8 swap when it had a whopping 90 HP. Nice Job Alexie! I'm lucky to have such talented friends that keep helping and motivating each other to take on projects like this.
Boomba brake air deflector install on 2023 Subaru WRX HD 1080p

How to install Boomba brake air deflectors on a 2023 WRX. Easy installation, simple upgrade to help cool the brakes. Air deflects from beneath the car while moving, and is directed into the location of the brake caliper and brake rotor, reducing heat and brake fade.

1953 Studebaker reversing for the first time in 50 years HD 1080p

All the hard work paid off now that Thalo's 53 Studebaker is rolling after being wrecked probably 50 years ago. We spent the summer straightening frames, banging metal, sanding bondo, painting, creating parts that don't exist anymore, wet fiberglassing, modifying, fabricating, wiring.....you name it, it was done here. Congrats Bro on a project for the archives!
More videos on this car Uncle Meel!!!!
AWESOME!!
Grille bars with vertical slants are ‘54, not ‘53
You're right. The grill slants are off of a '54. We didn't have the original 53 slants, and had an extra set of '54's, so that's what went on. The whole car is Frankenstiend together from many loose parts.
The 1950s era trucks are all sexy AF chevy and ford
Not ford, only Chevy
Great video but definitely not safe. Car is on the edge of a curb maybe. God forbid breaks fail. Try getting some ramps, they're not that expensive. Be safe!!!
Nice post. I've been sitting on a 72 elcomino for 3 years and it's time!! I wanna drive mine daily and get to some shows. Very inspiring. 👍🏽😎🏁🏁🏁
Awesome. I have a 53 hardtop coupe.
Very nice!! Glad to see you kept it a longbed. Too many of them getting hacked up these days for the shortbed craze. 👍
Thanks! I couldn't imagine shortening it. I was told only 1 longbed for every 100 shortbeds were made.
This is so nice, I just bought my first 1979 El Camino..this was very encouraging , makes me feel like , it's going to be a great build, not a lot of El Camino Love .. these days
Thanks man- It's a passion! Good to hear your Elco will get a renovation. Keep plugging away at it, every bit you do brings it that much closer.
Thank you for bringing this Camino back to life !
No one wants to watch a picture video.
Beautyful
Great work I have a 70 elco in Australia
Thanks! I imagine would be much more difficult to find these cars in Australia- How did you ever come across one? My grandfather-in-law, who was the original owner of my Elco had another car, a 1925 Roadster. It was sold and shipped to Australia a few years back. Don Brusseau's T-bucket. It is the holy grail of all hot-rod cars, it went to some big collector out there in the Outback.
Custom driveshaft because something different in the drivetrain, or it was just missing? Which engine; the original 289 (Stude's, not Ford's)?
yes a Studie 289. It originally had a three on the tree. When Thalo got the car it had a chevy motor and trans. We put in the 289/ auto trans combo from a 54'. The driveshaft was made custom to fit. This was a Frankenstein-build for certain!
@@E-Dog707 I've always wondered about that engine. Some people say it was better than Ford's, but you're limited on modifications.
I would have kept that cool topper
I did keep it, and did my best at cleaning it up. It was old aircraft aluminum, but polished up pretty nicely. Grandpa may have made it- he was a WW2 master fabricator- known as the father of hot-rodding Don Brusseau.
Nice job ... but why not put a/c back on it? Did you use original engine? Did you make it a 383 stroker. Very popular back in the day for that car.
Unfortunately the original engine and transmission were long gone when I got ahold of it. I chose a crate GM350 for simplicity and cost effectiveness. The A/C was a mess, and I wanted as much room in the engine bay as possible so I put the delete plate in it's place. I still have it in storage. I'm looking at adding HP to it now, so stroking it out is not off the table.
Beautiful
Beautiful car! Nice workmanship in the resto-mod!
Thank you!
Thanks you got me motivated when I saw the El Camino.
I’ve always LOVED Low Riders- very nostalgic for me! Danny’s put hella hard work & pride into his ride!🤙
Great video thanks!
Those crazy Boston Bull Terriers- gotta love them! He’s like a “Hamburgler Bandit Racer!” 😍🐾💚😘🤘🥰🤙
