This lecture was recorded February 10th, 2021, at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Atlanta (CCSCATL) in Roswell, Georgia. Why am I posting this now? It's for channel consolidation and Ben is busy. It was originally posted on the CCSCATL channel on February 17th, 2021. Now it's here.

Love Old-School chess stories; machines have no soul! Thx Ben!!
Plot twist, professor wolf is the sponsor of this lecture 😂
Why does ben make half hour long introductions? He gets paid by the hour.
terrible!
its part of the show
The truth hurts
Your either going to like this lecture a lot or your going to hate this lecture a lot- Ben Finegold
Congrats on passing 100k subscribers! Looking forward to seeing thec Silver Play award on your stream.
Holy crap, I watch a lot of Professor Wolff's content on YT! Love the guy ❤️
Does he got a UA-cam channel?
@@cooloutac I wasn't talking about Patrick, but his father, the professor Richard Wolff
@@nimzomitch lmao.
I had to watch this after seeing Patrick win his game in Wolff style yesterday in the US Senior. As an old-timer, I remember him well!
Damn, Benji knows everybody. One thing I like about Finegold is that he isn't overly involved with chess, he jokes about tunes from times gone by and teaches chess in a way only a GM could but brings details and draws games!
When I was living in Paris, I met a girl who told me she knew a good chess player. As usual, I expected nothing much. I asked her his name, she said "Kamran." That's how I got to know him pretty well. Can you do a video about Shirazi?
When Ben got to the game, it was awesome.
I thought I was going to hate this lecture, but I stayed till the end and loved this lecture!
Wow. This name is not in memory now. I switched to bridge almost 3 decades ago. The only Wolff that comes to mind is Bobby Wolff. I think I remember Patrick but only because of this video. There is a Patrick in poker, the movies, and even Star Trek. However, Wolff gets tied to Bobby and bridge. I've gotten old.
Though never actually allowed to play bridge, I did learn the game at an early age. Starting a game of chess is simpler than starting a game of Bridge you see.
How much donation one has to make in order to sponsor a lecture?
No way, I've read some Stuart Rachels. Didn't know he was a chess champ
Let’s
Go
I liked the video
OMG you went to Oakham in England? Thats 10 minutes down the road from me - come back and teach again!
I looove the thumbnail. Why? Because it includes a picture when the player of the past is young, so I don't think of him only as an old boomer but also as a young man. Keep doing that in the future.
Wow I didn’t know you used to live in Ann Arbor! I grew up in Toledo! Hopefully you aren’t a Wolverines fan lol
38:44 Tal says hi
GM Ben places Oakham in the N of England, he would never have made the tournament without the Wolf shepherding him!

Frankly
I heart gpotp ❤
Who's Afraid of Patrick Wolff?
Kasparov was not... wrongly
Where's the scandal in playing 12 moves drawing game with Gary Kasparov?
"Kasparpov"
Damnit Ben, why do you keep shaving your beard off?
WhAt was that name rant at the start about 😩😂
What's with the reposts Ben? It's great content, but not sure why you are reposting several videos recently
Ben was busy at the World Open and not streaming. We’re also trying to merge the CCSCATL channel and this one together, so I usually work on that when there isn’t new content to edit. - Ben’s Editor
@@GMBenjaminFinegold Oh okay. Thanks for the response. Long-time fan of the channel
thats a pretty long story
I love Ben but geez these intros can be long
I enjoy the history/background. The nice thing is you can always skip it
It's super entertaining. Did it never occur to you to skip content that you personally don't enjoy?
That's when we get the good stuff. Lots of people can analyze the chess games, but a lot of the stories only Ben can tell (or will tell)
history is valuable too, especially when the engine exists for the analysis side
I like these intros. These are the types of stories that other players don't have.
**first**
