I had the pleasure of meeting this guy yesterday at the University of South Mississippi Jazz Festival. He was late because of an medical emergency of the bass player in his group. He was why I went to see the show and he was worth it. This guy is like a Stevie Ray on the harp. And then he thanked the audience!! No Jason... Thank You! All my best wishes

Early in my journey, I saw this amazing video...and I nearly threw my harmonica away. I didn't see how I'd ever come anywhere close to such powerful mastery. Well, over the last six years or so, with lots of practice, I've enjoyed a few brief, glimmering, moments when I reminded myself of Jason...even if just for a second...and I know I'm on the right path.
Thanks again, Jason, for the inspiration and education you've so generously provided...and continue to provide. You give us "up and comers" a star to aim for, and I'm glad and honored to call you my friend.

I wouldn't ever bother logging in to comment. But that's the greatest harp solo i have ever heard - I've been watching harp players the world over for 25 years as well as listening to all the older stuff
its like when you listen to you playin stuff like this video you cant just sit and enjoy it,it just somehow drags you in and it feels like your on a journey of i dunno what,just like the music you play,pulls your soul heart very life line into the song,your gift is amazing magical enchanting almost,so touching brother,dunno what else to say really hope you dont mind the comment jason just love your stuff to death man.

I was very touched . Is it just me who brings tears to my eyes when I listen to the harmonica from a talented artist? It made me want to start playing my harmonica, which I was passionate about and bought years ago.
Jason as a layman harp player i want to tell you that you are now what I call a Pioneer. You are going to levels unknown and exploring new concepts and dimensions that is a privilege to watch and enjoy. Thank you.
saw them in San Francisco the other night, drove down to Santa Cruz to see them again because I couldn't believe what I saw. Simply amazing. When they come back to the bay area I'll bring more people to see them as I'm sure everyone else will. I was completely blown away. I never saw anything like them.

Holy F'n Sh#t!. The overall power/sound quality of this is just FANTASTIC. If there was a "next level" you were aiming at, then you've just lept over it.
One of my all time favorite solos..... on probably my favorite song, for a lot of reasons.
It's other-worldly and soulful for so many of us, and most of all for Jason.... Love this guy.
When he soloed, Paul Butterfield took control, you heard feeling and greatness combined.
Jason, here, is giving off that same vibe. You didn't want Butterfield to stop. Jason keeps
going in a quality groove, making you wonder how he doesn't just drop when finished.
Just to let you know that you are not the only one. This guys playing touches my soul. I get obsessed with his it and I get snippits of it playing in a loop in my brain for days on end.
Drives me nuts!!! I sure that there is a term for it.

We'll Dave & Eloise have a band in New Orleans called " Major Bacon " . I as of yet don't have anything going on but, I've been out and get to jam with some of the best blues groups when they come into town. Jason was one of those groups that invited me up to play .
He sounded awesome and I could hear a lot of Pat's licks coming from his harp .
