Why do you call it vamping? I think of a vamp as a repeated figure ( a sort of ostinato). I could use this effect on a vamp but otherwise I am confused by your use of the term. It is cool to hear you use the slap slowly versus more quickly. I will have to try to notice what I am doing when I play.
