@stobe187 watch the Umubano Family. The Silverback Charles has a hilarious personality! If a person starts moving too close, Charles won't charge, but he will "run" past the person and push them with his hand or hips....there's always that one person who doesn't follow the Guide's rules and ruins it for everyone else! Charles and his Guide are very close, Charles trusts him and many times will walk up to him and pat his back. It's like he's saying "Thank you for keeping those humans away!" I think of all the Silverbacks, he is the one who shows people that they must respect Gorillas. He will NEVER hurt anyone, he's just trying to warn them to not get too close. I "adopted" him 15yrs. ago at Christmas, and ever since he's my favorite!

I can see why gorilla poaching is so widespread. Look at them--they're so peaceful, calm, whole familes with a huge silverbacks & tiny babies tolerating humans right next to them. They're strong enough to kill us with their bare hands, but the most they tend to do is look at this group with curiosity. They're gentle creatures, & poachers take advantage of that fact. It's amazing that they let us witness them so close; they deserve our respect!

I know there are park rangers that are sworn to give their lives to protect these gorillas from poachers. I honestly would love that job. They also take care of the baby orphans in an gorilla orphanage. They are better than humans. Maybe we shouldn’t have gotten the extra 2.4% that separate us from them of dna so we could be more like them. They are beautiful, intelligent, peaceful and emotional creatures. That deserve so much better from humans. I will go see them in my future. It’s on my bucket list.

Watch Finding Bigfoot- those idiots beating trees with sticks isn't the knocking noise. In my 30+ years of researching Relict Hominids no credible reports of them dragging sticks around are seen...but Gorilla's can knock anytime, anyplace.

Last time I was at a zoo (Los Angeles, 2008) there was a massive silver back leaning up on the windows of the exhibit, I was able to stand mere feet away and look into his eyes, and it like nothing else I've experienced. It did not feel like I was looking into the eyes of an animal. There was so much more there and I could feel it, I could just sense it. It was definitely a simple but profound moment. The interesting thing here is that this is all non-perishable good, while they keep perishable goods inside a box that cools down the food. Genius. You see him looking back and forth between the cereal and oreo's, he is trying to decide what he wants to eat next. Don't get the wrong picture, just because you see no meat here doesn't mean they are not meat eaters, they probably will cook us up and eat us given the chance.

My very favorite, the mountain gorilla. They are the gentlest, kindest and most protective of all peoples. The silverback is the leader & hero of the family, using his size & strength to protect all others to the point that he will sacrifice himself for the greater good of his family; if only all men could do the same. 🙏🏼💗🌏
