    Your channel has motivated me for a long time now to change. 10 months sober, marriage on the mends, and Down 20 lbs.As an officer in the fire department I’ve always lacked tact. Over the last 5 years I wish I would have known about being tactful ( lol )

    Several yrs ago, I almost asked my drill instructor how he'd feel & what he'd feel, if anything, knowing one of his once recruits took their own life...he was the only person to ask how I was. I'm very thankful for this man's keen senses something wasn't right. Life is far better now. Progression is very possible. Want it. May our lord's face shine upon your sir.

    Going into Air Force Tacp. Swore in May 20th. Been watching your videos to get me pumped for The Marines in back 2011. Something about you got me fired up. Well I didn't graduate and got a GED and couldn't obtain a waiver. Well all these years later I'm watching your channel still at age 29 about to go through the BMT. I'm in the spec ops development group at USF. It's very awesome you use proverbs and quote the Bible. I'm pastors kid. Long story but man thank you very much. I wish I could share my story and hear more of yours.

      In Boot Camp, we told all the recruits "Never Quit and Never Give Up!" You never gave up, and now years later, the adventure starts for you. Congratulations and a BIG OOH RAH! to you for Basic Military Training. Give it your all and NEVER QUIT AND NEVER GIVE UP! The best to you with your military career!

    Sir Thank you sir! Been doing a lot of self evaluation lately. Thinking about where I started, come from, I presently am and what I want to accomplish. Currently in a much better place than I was, but not where I want to be. I call that growth with room to grow. Still not sure how to accomplish what I want, but working/listening with a purpose will get me there no matter the task. You just reinforced that. Thank you!

    Just getting into your channel, and going to watch Black Friday Darkdawn. I'm retired Air Force, and you have so much good stuff for motivation etc. Although we can't effectively compare our Basic Training to USMC Basic Training, I do remember my Drill Instructor, and he was a real motivator, and cause for change in my life.

    It's funny. Im about to get out (20yrs) and am thankful for the MC but am very ready to 'freestyle' a bit. I wasn't quite 'cookie-cutter' enough for some trash, vindictive, scheming, insecure, spazztic leaders--but even they had value and showed me how NOT to be. The good ones I can't thank enough--they truly led by example and did what needed to be done when bright lights were off and their RS wasn't looking.
    Good stuff SSgt Nichols (Once... always...) It's never bad to hear someone else's positive take. When we... You, me, whomever... think we freakin' nailed it, spiked the ball in the endzone... stand by. Life will "okey doke" ya.

    When I was still in senior high back in 1989 I did my DEP and MEP but I was devastated when I found out that I couldn't get in the Marines or Navy because I had a bad back from an accident 10 or 11 years prior but, I stayed true to myself and never hung out with the wrong crowd, never did drugs, no drinking and no tobacco products, never went to college and never intended to so I got a job right out of high school and kept working, my parents were always supportive of my life decisions and they guided me to be self sufficient and survive on my own, all along the way of my life I stayed true to my self and never even though about venturing off path, here I am at 52 years old and I am living life to it's fullest, I look back and say to myself, I'm glad I never took the wrong path and never hung out with the wrong crowd.

    For 11 years now, every time I think of the Marines, you're always the number one man that pops up in my head, lol. I remember coming across your videos for the first time and the way you disciplined the recruits; it really gave me an admiration of how a Marine is made physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether it's PT, marching, handling rifles etc, I love the intensity precision! It still inspires me until today and If I had the chance to go back 11 years, I would become a Marine. Thankyou, Ssgt, for contributing to a soldier's life and your service to this Great Country! I hope I get to meet you one day! Oh yeah, great vid!

    Serious question, how long after a cycle does it take for your voice to heal? And how long does a Marine stay a Drill Instructor is it the same as the Army of 3 years?

    • @SSGTNICHOLS
      @SSGTNICHOLS  4 роки тому +3

      It depends on each Drill Instructor and how much damage their vocal chords sustained. I know some DI's who never recovered their voice fully.
      I served for three years as a DI, so it might be the same as the Army.

    My ex Husband Ted Robinson, JR., father to my only living child, Alicia Nicole Robinson, is dying from Parkinson's disease. He wouldn't get back together with me, though I've prayed about it. He stated to me that he's not right for anyone. Sad.... My Dad Richard Ribble,77 is also dying. Some situations are just out of our hands. I'd love to finally get remarried to a Christian man this time. I'd love to have more children, before I get much older. I'm 45 now. I've been praying about all of these things, ect. For years now. I'm an imperfect Christian. I don't believe in a reason for everything. I often feel as it I can never do enough. My daughter Alicia Nicole Robinson is now 18 and a Christian. I really do wish that I could start my whole entire life all over again. Just have ended up with better real Christian parents. Just to not make my horrid mistakes that I can't take back. My daughter Alicia and I are so incredibly blessed by God/the Holy Trinity.
