Hi Mrs Unfrumpy.....love this video and Eric's pop in appearance....my mother would boil cinnamon water on top of the stove after airing out the house with the windows and doors opened as WE cleaned the house....Cinnamon eliminates odor as well and leave a pleasant smell. My mother also added vinegar into the loads of clothes while washing them in the washing machine...the vinegar also cleaned the interior of the washer and flushed the water drainer lines coming from the washer. She taught me so much and I miss her dearly. Again, great video....keep them coming!

On those filters that go into your HVAC unit...you can also put drops of essential oil on them and make your entire house smell amazing!! It's also a great indicator when the scent starts to wear off to check the filter, you can check it and reapply the oil or replace the filter again if necessary. Just a few drops to start to see how much scent you like.
      * also - pet tip: covered bathroom trash cans, for some reason dogs and cats like to drag out the trash in those little trash cans and covered cans help. Plus, you can pop one of those air fresheners on the inside of the lid.
      * cleaning the garbage disposal also helps with chopped up lemons, baking soda and lots of ice...it's amazing!!

Had to see if you had any new ideas for me! Nicest compliment I ever got was my niece posted on FB that my house was always the nicest smelling house she'd even been to! And she's here a lot!
You're on the same page I am I just use a lot of candles and wax melters after cleaning!
Oh and changes your furnace filter monthly, I do it the first of the month! There are very expensive ones that are supposed to last longer but depending on the size of your house and # of people and pets? Yeah, once a month for me!

Great tips! I do all of these. Love, love, love to open my windows! Lol...clean air filters! 😂 Your husband had a great tip! You don't want to forget to dust/clean the vents either. Lol...you handled his interruption pretty well... Lol... You might want to try vinegar and or peroxide, instead of bleach. Bleach is very toxic.... Also, candles burn toxins... I use an EO diffuser... They're good for your health and air! They do make soy EO candles, but I wouldn't recommend anything cheap...they are synthetic and toxic. Same with the EO's... I get my EO's from a health store not a department store. Or from someone who sells them. DoTERRA and Numi are great brands to use.

Another great tip is - compost your kitchen scraps instead of throwing them in the garbage can. Also, reducing your waste overall can cut down on odors too. In my household, we have reduced our waste to having only two paper waste bins. We have stopped using our kitchen trash bin entirely. It's great having a fresh-smelling home and a smaller eco-footprint at the same time! :-)

If I may add number 11. I wash my small rugs about once a month, (there's only me) but I hang them in the sun every week to freshen them. My windows were open before I watch your video, but you did inspire me to get off my bum and refresh other areas. tfs
