TTB videos I'd love to see exist: -how is TTB different than some other ttrpgs? / why play TTB? -10 important tips for new Fatemasters to run a campaign -guides for various Penny Dreadfuls
Thanks for the input! For number one, I'm not sure I'm really qualified since I don't really play many other RPGs. But maybe I could do something similar just on what I like about TTB For number 2, that's definitely a good idea. Us fate masters need all the help we can get 😅 Not sure what you mean by #3. Do you mean covering the lore? Or like how to run them. I kinda feel like they usually have all the info you need to run them. Curious to hear what you have in mind
@DefectiveDice #3 i mean like a walk-through or something. Maybe that means more lore maybe that's a guide. I'm not sure. I haven't run one yet so I don't have much context. Maybe it's just specific tips for those Penny Dreadfuls?
I hate pointing this out on a posted vid. So I hope I'm wrong. But I think if you already have ranks in a particular skill, you need to spend +1 more to advance in that skill. So for your example at 6:30 of having two ranks in a particular skill, you would need to spend 3 XP to go from 2 ranks to 3 ranks. That's on the second to last paragraph on p 318 in the Core book. Apologies in advance if I'm incorrect here. If you have 0 ranks, you pay 0 XP. I actually misunderstood this, so thank you pointing this out!
No way, if Im wrong then please correct me! I've certainly made mistakes before and always appreciate corrections! That said, this is the relevent text "she may spend a number of Experience Points equal to the Skill's current Rank to increase its Rank by +1." To my reading, that comports with how I explained it in the video. Pay the current amount, skill goes up 1. no?
Thank you!! Did not know you can spend '0' to level up a skill but it makes so much sense.
Great way to spread out your skills, and save xp without feeling like you didn't advance at all
Great video man. In a campaign that has people new to the system and game and you did a really good job explaining leveling up for me to show them
Glad to hear it! Hope the campaign is going well

You are 100% right, and I am wrong! Thank you for double checking. I've been doing this wrong and am glad to have it corrected...
