Thanks for this overview! Thanks for all the ideas on how to use all these features within these visuals. There are so many ways to utilize the different seciton and you highlight them so well as a great base for ideas! Its so helpful to see new ideas on how to use the measures and automate the conditional formatting.

I would always use normal rectangle as the shape, since you have direct control over the px-rounding. This way you can make sure every Visual has the same rounding - regardless of size.

the dec 2023 update was great. Adding additional labels via the detail FINALLY allowed us to show count and percentage on bar charts
btw i love the series label trick where its actually a x-axis value but your turn it into a label, brilliant! Going to use this at work

Would there be a way to apply calculations groups for all the measure needed in the card visuals?
Inclunding the Delta, the icon and the CF, so we don´t have to create 4 measures for each measure we want to show.

The new slicer is buggy. It loses the filter applied during development. Once a customer opens a report the applied filer will be 2015 (the first value available), not 2017 as was set by developer

What do you recommend if we add the image to slicer but the source is from sharepoint instead of dropbox? I'm having error saying MdxScript (Model) (622,5) Calculation error in Measure is part of composite key, but not all columns of the composite key are included in the expression or its dependent expression.

with Dax it is important to get the basics right first (here a quick overview ua-cam.com/video/sOMhqaaWM9Y/v-deo.htmlsi=dSMpgUOjUqnr5O2Q ) .. then after that dive into more practical cases and you will see a lot of patterns coming back ( here an example for open items pattern ua-cam.com/video/c-mLYMWTii4/v-deo.htmlsi=ZtMo25ZkSxvyosA- or maxmin pattern ua-cam.com/video/hmk6PxDtbNs/v-deo.htmlsi=Udm3hMt7Flqk1e6N ) .. while you are exploring different patterns you can deepen your knowledge with books

Nice video! Real quick, how did you get the delta sign into your measure name? A quick google told me Alt + 916 was the key combo but that's only giving me the lowercase delta sign

Your videos are amazing and it really helped me start my dashboard. i studied power bi, learned and built my own dashboard like a month ago.
But I find slicers very tricky.
So, i have a raw table and a column for countries, sales and volume.
I created a matrix table for sales and volume.
I wanted to create multiple pages per countries so each page, i created a slicer.
First country, done, no problem. Duplicated the page and feels good.
Clicked the slicer to create another window for the second country , good fine,
Finished up to 5th country but when i published the report, it always copied the country
Of the previous pages.. i already checked on sync slicers but it just go back.
I already deleted everything in fliters, to no avail.
Whats tricky is that, there is one page that keeps the slicer selection, which i want to happen to the other pages but it doesnt do the job.
Quite lengthy concern but it all boils down to keeping your slicer selection to stay even after moving from one page to anither.

I'm sorry if you mentioned it and I missed it but, is there no dropdown menu option anymore for the slicer?
It is a replacement for the button slicer option, not the dropdown etc (guess that will get a separate update)

How can I change the getaway of dataset after the published report?
I have a published report its current getaway is excel file and I want to change with my Sql source.

Hi, thank you for your video. I am new to all this. Love your content even if I often do not understand a lot. You do this in such a postiv way. I tried to replicate what you where showing from minute 5 on. It's about attaching an image to a slicer button. I have a table with countries (USA, GBR, AUS, FRA etc) and I have a folder with flags for each country. I tried create a new measury, ImgCtryFlag, and relating the url from my OneDrive. But somehow this does not work. Do you have another Video in your collection where this process is explained in more detail? Thanks in advance. Markus

Anybody else noticing a color change in the accent bars when publishing to PBI Service? Mine went from blue to all black. Might be a wrinkle MS needs to iron out in a future release.

The data set has 2 column main service category which are 3 values and the other column contain subcategories service , the main service category has its own subcategory & and i have 5 measures which are add to slicer parameter field and the main category are also in the slicer , i need to customize a card visual to return the top subcategory name by using the two slicers . I need the function that that add to card visual ,
