Wow, fantastic to see them doing so much right. I can see where they took from other games and genres, the combination they are going for is fantastic. Def keeping an eye on this one
Thank you so much to 100stratman for the great work on this video, and congratulations-you played really well! Many of your guesses were spot on! :) We’ve taken note of your feedback, and your suggestions are valuable for improving the game. A few tips: -You can rotate and zoom in on the ship in the ship designer! 🚀 -As you mentioned, building placement is important, even though we haven’t added visual cues for it yet. It’s better to keep industrial buildings away from residential areas and place services or parks near homes. 🏙 -You can rotate any building by pressing the R button on your keyboard. -You can also press the middle mouse button to get different views of the planet! 🌍
I like having the ships drift towards the planet if you just leave them there, but I would like to have a "Maintain Orbit" order button on the UI, which would keep the ship from moving towards the planet, but would also require them to keep circling.
100% agree. I love the idea, but its something that will punish players and probably not AI. Something as simple as clicking the move order outside the red gravity well making it path around instead of through would be enough, while leaving the player the option to click in the red for more daring microed manoeuvres. I think i read in discord they might add gravity assisted acceleration as well, so sling shot manoeuvres could be a thing. Could be, maybes and mights...we need to see more and where they end up.
Thank you for the suggestion! We appreciate the idea and will keep it in mind. We’re also planning to add spatial pathfinding to improve ship navigation.
It appears to have certain similarities to both Gal Civ and Sins of the Solar Empire. Ship designer in particular seems very similar to Gal Civ's, while combat (and, to a lesser extent, general look) is similar to Sin's
I would play stellaris more if a run didn't take over 30 hours. Maybe skill issue xD I love civ, but my heart is sci-fi. Galciv is a great mix and still improving (and needing improvement TBF)
We’ve already worked on all the unit types planned for the game. However, for the demo, we decided to introduce just a few of them. The ground forces function like a ‘rock-paper-scissors’ system, where drones counter regiments, regiments counter light vehicles, and light vehicles counter drones. As for ships, more types will be available in the final version.
I agree it would be cool to have that kind of scale. But, I imagine from a game design perspective it's not practical. Large planets means lots of land, lots of cities, lots of time spent on one world. The world we get in the demo is a small one but I gather there are larger planets from other screen shots I've seen. Not the first comment on the planet size tho so maybe something for the Devs to consider.
Thank you for your feedback. There are three planet sizes planned: Moon, Dwarf, and Giant. These sizes were chosen for fun and variety in gameplay. However, based on upcoming tests and feedback, we can adjust the planet sizes if needed.

Interesting, thank you for the discovery! Loved it!

I am low key hyped for this.
Huge potential for sure

Planetside aesthetics really reminds me of Spore in the space stage. Nostalgia hit right there.
Pretty impressive for an alpha
Ship combat reminds me of the starcraft ship battle mod. Loved it.

Im always happy to see another space grand strategy in the pipes
Lovely!
this game is like the last stage of spore
The game looks real nice! I just hope I can create a Determined Exterminator AI race and conquer the galaxy like in Stellaris LMAO!
Im curious about this game. I absolutely love stellaris and civ 6

I hear that. I rarely make it to the end of a stellaris game. The journey there is the fun part lol
Just based on what we see in this demo i am not sure a large scale war would be possible like on your mimots playthrough of GC4
Wait. Did that planet have a negative gravity? -1 m/s squared?
Why didn't you want to build the other unit types, such as tanks, snipers, etc?
Also, it looked like there were two other ship types?
they were grayed out so I assumed locked for the demo. May have been a way to unlock and construct them, maybe?
@@100stratman Oh, ok. It looked like you just never clicked on them in the video.

@@beyondastraofficial Ok. I'm not really a fan of rock-paper-scissors systems, but as long as it's just the ground units, that's ok.
Planets are pretty small but otherwise things are looking good imho
Fragile existence
its on my wishlist, along with many other hooded horse published titles.
Why do these games feel the need to make planets so small ruins game in my opinion. Why not have very large planets make it a bit more realistic.

Looks not bad. However it has this little Chinese taste.
Anyway We will see is it worth it.
Now waiting for the Falling Frontier.
I've that one wishlisted as well. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
