Are you still there, 100Stratman? Because there's no new episode...
The regen on the ships is nice. Really leans into the living ship zerg kinda stuff.
All for Grays! I love that my civ is going so well. I was afraid for them, but I am no more. And their tactics are actually similar to what they did in my canon (they also used little armor and a lot of starbases there). Will we see Grays vs Xenozerg? Also, did you see that their ship you highlighted is a Cleanser, the ship we designed last stream?
You've encouraged me to up my game to Godlike. Been playing on incredible but will take it up to the last notch. 😬
I am on the opposite side thinking to scale it down next play xD maybe toss in a self imposed challenge.
To bring Ai down from 99% prestige is certainly something, nicely done )
Man I thought for sure they were going to win there but it looks like you held out. Now just to grind through the rest of their military. The green chicks are probably going to be right behind them though since they also expanded into your sector. The rest are probably cannibalizing each other over in that other sector.
Sometimes I donlt know if the game knows what a "War of Annihilation" means... Anyway, good for you to hold the line. Also, would you maybe try to pl;ay as A Crime Lords War Profitters civilizations?
100% agree that war of annihilation goals are achieved too quickly. After a couple fleet battles and a planet taken, the objective is complete and the game hits you with maluses. I get that a long war bogs the population down, war wariness etc. But in a war of ANNIHILATION, the goal should not be that easily reached when 80+% are alive and chilling. That's not the goal my guys. 0% cold. That's the goal. Make us pay for the time it takes us to get there. Not for hitting some low set bar too quickly.
Hell, if any civ is 5% away from a prestige victory, there should be no malus whatsoever to being at war with them.
Good to see at least one of civs inspired (or rather pressed for) by myself in the game! The Gray Ascendancy did make an appearance in my Bohandi Backstory, and it's nice to see them again. A pity no Arachnids or Bohandi, but at least we have the Greys. Bevarte their observations throught! But I can assume these are Grays in exile. Oh, and bevare the Cleansers!
Your race does more damage to other races doesn't it?
Has slightly better siege potential I think.
Your sound and video quality are great! Looking forward to this series
thats great to hear, thank you!
I still don't know why you have prestige on. I feels like such a hollow victory and it just makes you have to rush military to kill people. Instead of trying out whatever game plan you are doing.
In this case, I was planning to make military and kill anyway, but the prestige makes the situation less optimal and less comfortable than it otherwise could be. There is a clear time frame I have in which to prepare and act. This lends extra weight to the decisions that need to be made. I'm not defending the prestige, i think as a win condition it needs more work and no one should win one without ascension crystals or doing galactic wonders or challenges. And it is possible to end up in situations where nothing you do will prevent the victory which flat out sucks. But if we are going to lose, we can just turn it off mid game xD
@100stratman gotta zerg rush I guess
Excellent. Is it possible thatyouw will do the Sins civs to the next run?
I don't know that I will. I'll need to look at the Sins again and see what the gimmick for the races were.
@@100stratman Here I have some ideas for abilities for these civs: TEC Loyalists Wealthy // Because they are “Traders”, but focused on interior trade. Vigilant // Because they have good defenses. TEC Rebels Crime Lords // Because they can work with pirates. Experienced /// Because they are good at fighting. Vassari Loyalists Slavers // Because they have technologies about enslavement. Raiders // Because they do raid people. Vassari Rebels Certain // Because they have good influence. Unrelenting // Because they have good influence and still fight well. Adwent Loyalists Cybernetics // Because they are cybernetic, and they have life extensions. Loyal // Because they are very loyal, and for the NeuralLink improvement. Adwent Rebels Devout // Because they are religious and devoted. Unwavering // Because they are good at defensive influence. Things after // are comments.
Also, you have mentioned in the last stream that you could do Sins Civ's in this game. Could you do it?
bs
Ridiculous amount of space for expansion this run. Are you able to play as pirates in this game? Would be interesting to see. Basically no diplomacy, at war with everyone, resources from hitting ships.
Pirate Faction not in the game. Thats a great idea though. Could make a custom race with crime lord, starts you allied with pirates and recruit them. And something else? No way to start at war by default I dont think.
At least, since you built the Beacon of Babylon, no one else will have it.
This should be an exciting play through. Love that negative diplomacy.
Curious if any of species I took part in the creation of shows up (Bohandi, Greys and Arachnids). Would be curious to see monsters vs bioweapons.
I was waiting for you to start a new series! I love making custom factions. Best of luck on Godlike… I’ve gotten smoked every time I’ve tried it out.
Zerg Rush go brrrr
I really wanted to 12 pool but I guess I'll have to go into a standard macro game.
Fire mustache! I’ve been interested in this game but it seems super complicated and a bit overwhelming.
I wont lie and say it isent those things. But its a fun journey.
Congratulations on 500 subs, hitting that number isn't easy and I reckon you're gonna rocket up to 1000 in no time at all! Great work! Thanks for covering GalCiv4 as much as you do too
512 battles lost? It means, about every third battle has been lost, didnt seem to be that many, after watching the series i would have guessed u only lost 5 or 10% of the battles. Was a great series, when is the next one?
New one coming soon, but we are moving into a new place which is slowing things down. Hopefully will have first episode up by Monday, but cant promise anything. there is so much to do!
@@100stratman okay thats great, good luck with the moving. Which race u gonna choose this time?
Is mit the same thing as was on twitch?
Yes, this is from my twitch stream, just ported over.
Not gonna lie. I'd totally play as the faction that would nuke aliens no matter what LOL
ive always been tempted to play the alien helpers myself.
I vote for full conquest too.
Wait. Did that planet have a negative gravity? -1 m/s squared?
Blah missed the stream. Them dang spiders worked everyone over. Prestige is annoying.
more live streams coming, no worries!
So, when is th next series?
proliferation is borderline op, isn't it ? )
I was surprised for sure.
Honestly, I sometimes doubbt that there is any reason top go into other war than "war of anihilation."
Agreed, you achieve the war goals quickly, but are forced to reduce their military to 0 anyway taking penalties all the way. Might as well take it all at that point.
Was crazy finding more races at the end there.
Right?! That was not a short play through. Your think a drone or something would have found it's way to our ever expanding space. Would love a map based replay that shows how ppl expanded.
Hi bro, its a great series and am excited to see how its gonna end. But i would like to add one thing, how to calculate the research, because you said the contribution of the scientists is 41.5. At 20:34 there is a detailed breakdown of the research of the planet. If you add all the non-percentage numbers together, which is 61.5, and then all the percentage amounts together, its 436%. So if you calculate, how much is 436% of 61.5 (basically 61.5 X 5.36), you will get exactly 329.64. It means the contribution of the scientists at this particular case is not only 41.5, as you mentioned, its basically 41.5 X 5.36, so they give actually more than 2/3 of your total research on this planet (with the help of the percentage bonuses of course). But if i misunderstood you (i am not native english lol), i am sorry for that. Now am gonna continue the video :D
You could hear the slight confusion/disappointment in my voice because honestly I was expecting it to be way more. This explanation makes more sense. Thanks for the input!
@@100stratman you are welcome, I also learn a lot while watching your videos, yet I can barely keep up with the other factions on normal difficulty :)
Rolling up everything
Planetside aesthetics really reminds me of Spore in the space stage. Nostalgia hit right there.
I am now playing my first game with the DLCs, I am a peaceful Civilization that started very close to the Drengin, and now have a Dillema: should I use Cloaking Devices or not?
can you resist the power?
We shall see.
Grats on breaking 500 subs
Wow, fantastic to see them doing so much right. I can see where they took from other games and genres, the combination they are going for is fantastic. Def keeping an eye on this one
this game is like the last stage of spore
Looks not bad. However it has this little Chinese taste. Anyway We will see is it worth it. Now waiting for the Falling Frontier.
I've that one wishlisted as well. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Fragile existence
its on my wishlist, along with many other hooded horse published titles.
The game looks real nice! I just hope I can create a Determined Exterminator AI race and conquer the galaxy like in Stellaris LMAO!
Ship combat reminds me of the starcraft ship battle mod. Loved it.
Lovely!
