Just an addition. 'Hide Target Bodies', although it says do not let the body be found, you actually have to put the bodies in containers, or dump them into a hidden state. Concealed grass etc. will not work. Basically you want the objective ticked and greyed out before exiting the mission
A tip I wanna bring to the list is to spend your mercers to fill up your inventory. Because the vendors and the reward crates for finishing a contract only gives things you don't already have. As such, you can reliably keep getting the gear you want to use from shops and rewards because you already have what you don't want. Currently I almost always get high level silenced pistols when in the shop, because I bought all the cheap ones jusy to fill it up. So a bit opposite of what you say though, but I think it is valuable to do it that way. Also always use toolbox stuff instead of collectors if you can.
Oh yeah, and especially so for any toolbox items. They're dirt cheap in the suppliers, and buying them there means they both make way for better reward crates, and give you what you need to complete optional/prestige objectives, effectively paying for themselves and then some.
Supposedly's message is coincidentally how I've been living my last two weeks in Freelancer. I'm getting tired of losing half of my Merces every time I fail a campaign, so I sink my money into a new item so the money can't be taken from me. 😂😂😂 P.S. Take a Campaign with New York EVERY chance you get, and rob the vault every time. Easy way to get 10-15 THOUSAND on top of your objectives.
My tips: ・Don't be rushed, calm down. ・Before doing something, read descriptions and try to understand meanings... always. ・Don't think twice about anything you lost. This is the most important tip for assassins.
I watched a streamer uninstall after he lost his silenced pistol as if you can't just buy a new one or get a guaranteed one during showdowns. Freelancer purges the weak.
@@HarmonicGray Jeez, who was that? I lost my Shortballer right after getting it because of a stupid mistake and even though I was pissed, it’s literally the risk of the mode.
Another great tip Is the fact that guards don’t count against you if you kill them. There’s no Mercer deduction for killing a guard unlike the NPC’s. And since silent assassin doesn’t matter most of the time (unless it’s an epic objective you want to complete) then feel free to kill guards. I kill them all the time now because it’s just one less witness, one more gun, and one more disguise.
This is how i originally played the game when i first got the series. Isolating guards one by one to make an exit path or just to make sure i could kill the target unseen. I see holding back and not killing anyone except the target as a self-imposed challenge that we can toss aside whenever.
@@RecluseBootsy not killing guards isn't just a self-imposed challenge in the main game, it takes away from your XP at the end of the level. This can be mitigated slightly by getting head shots on them
@@KhaosInductionCreator that's what I mean. When you kill anyone who isn't a target, you get a pop-up saying "Non target killed -50XP" Although if it's a guard and you get a headshot, you get an additional pop-up saying "Guard Headshot +25XP"
Tip I've learned, is if you have an objective during a Leader mission that says "poison target", use emetic poison on them. If it is your target, that objective will be complete and you now know that that is your target.
A little clarification on the Seiker 1 and Kalmer being classified as firearms; In most situations, no, they are not actually classified as firearms. However, if you're going after a specific prestige objective(Silent Assassin, No Firearms) and your optional objective is "Perfect Shooter" and you miss, the missed dart will overwrite the prestige objective despite the dart guns not being firearms. Made me really upset when it happened to me, I just wanted to tranq the courier and steal their bus fare.
There is also a weird interaction I found with the dart guns. If I went to knock out a target from behind and had one out 47 would shoot the person in the back as if it was a handgun and it would kill the target not have the effect of the dart.
@@Timnetic In context of earlier conditions in other game modes, like contracts, it's consistent with what we've seen before. There are different versions of the limitations on shots, one requires that any shot fired near a person must hit the person (or be a headshot or something like that), another that all shots must hit a person. Perfect Shooter is clearly the latter, they just dont do a good job of explaining it. That's not to say it's not a PITA, because it absolutely is.
Makes sense I guess, since dart guns are technically not firearms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Still, it's probably an oversight by IO because regardless of perfect shooter objective, the No Firearms one will always fail if you miss the dart.
I like to think of myself as an above average Hitman player and OH MY GOD this is kicking my ass. I've gotten killed so many times playing Freelancer that I'm becoming an expert at dying. Your tip about getting a silenced pistol in Sgail was a lifesaver. I mean, I'm still failing miserably, but at least I'm not losing my only silenced weapon forever every time. That's an improvement right??? I think if I die another couple hundred times I might improve slightly. Oof...
Then you’re not an above average hitman player, I thank mr freeze honestly for teaching me how to start with nothing and doing suit only or silent assassin, when I started freelancer I thought killing would ruin your mastery and reduce your merces so I would finish the campaigns without killing anyone, it was challenging but yeah freelancer is easy
After watching your streams the past few days I've come to appreciate your guides even more now, considering all the effort you put in. Watching your streams is a great way to understand how "the sausage is made" so to speak. Great work as always!
Freelancer is amazing, always loved the newer hitman trilogy and love it more with this mode. IO put alot of care into Hitman so I'm looking forward to the 007 game they are developing
Finally beat a campaign. All that time I spent learning escalations and elusive targets has been like I was “Mr Miyagi” trained for freelancer. The whole time before felt kinda like boringly waxing a car, but that info is so handy now.
For real this freelancer shit is too easy I’ve played all the assassins creed and all the old hitmans it’s second nature I’m in and out in the same suit nobody even knew I was there lol
Now THAT was a really helpful video. I was ignoring the vault in New York the whole time because I didn't think merces would be hidden on the maps! That's a really nice money boost each time
Another great tip, if you don't have concussive grenades an exploding fire extinguisher will work for completing objectives that require a concussive explosion
A few things I've noticed as I've been working through this: - Certain sniper rifles can be put in a briefcase instantly, mainly the Sieger 300 ones that are rare and up, the others have to be "dismantled" first before they are put away; - The collateral kill challenge doesn't count for killing 2 targets in one shot; - While a suppressed shotgun is a better way to do the kill challenge for them, they can only go on your back or in a briefcase. A Sawed-Off shotgun goes straight into your inventory for a quick getaway if you are trying to do something like a Suit Only challenge; - For long range kills with an assault rifle, try using the TAC-4 S/A. The automatic and burst-fire ARs can can be a liability with the extra bullets that may hit walls, other NPCs or break objects, which could alert guards; - The Improvised Explosive you can make at the workstation in the garage (once you level up enough), has a weight of 0, So its always worth taking along to use a a distraction if you think you'll need one. You will have to make it every time you return the the safe house though; - As well as the banana that appears in the kitchen, you will eventually unlock a bar of soap in the bathroom attached to 47's bedroom for slip challenges; - Always take the water and gas canisters from your Freelancer Tools back with you, they will be refilled when you return to the safe house; - If you are wanting to take multiple large items back to the safe house for your collection, remember that you can carry 3 items. One on your back, one in your right hand and one in a briefcase in your left hand. The Isle of Sgàil has quite a few items to grab if you take the time to crack open the crates in the storage area near the helicopter and if you explore the upper most floors.
If you dont have a lockpick you can open locked doors using an NPC, if you throw a coin or set a coin at the door, you want it basically right up against the door at the ground touching the door snd the npc will open the door when they pick it up. (works with any item that acts like a coin, distraction, or will be picked up by a guard like a gun or briefcase)
Freelancer got me back into this game after a long break. So I appreciate guides like this. I also wanted to say I have appreciated the streams lately as well I have learned a lot and it has made coming back to this game a lot easier.
This may have already been said, but you only lose all of your tools if you fail on a Showdown mission ... if you fail a normal mission you just lose half of your merces and what you took with you (I just did this yesterday on purpose to get the skin - figured better to fail early). The downside is that the leftover missions are now all high alert ones.
Another thing too is check the amount of targets per map. While the point about disguises it totally valid you can convert a 3-5 target map into a one target map if you use it for the showdown as you only have to kill the syndicate leader assuming you can find them.
Only issue with that is you gotta be careful that 3-4 target maps don't have multiple killing objectives because if it's a showdown, it's then impossible
If you have the outside unlocked but not the bedroom you can get into the bedroom by climbing a drainpipe outside and going in through the bathroom. You still can't use the bedroom door but you can use the ladder that goes into the basement.
An additional practice I've adopted is prioritizing target-specific, non-lethal challenges for showdowns. If you have some thing like "Distract Target" you can just throw an item near the target and then if and only if they are the target, the objective will complete when the ? above their head goes away.
Yo Freeze I know from your streams that your time with Freelancer hasn't always been too pleasant so thanks for putting in the effort to make it all more enjoyable for the rest of us. A video on the quickest way to get the best disguise for each level would be super helpful!
If you're grinding for full rack of weapons I can share a few with you, keep in mind that in every missions there is a briefcase that you can find so you can take these pricey weapons: - Mendoza: Bartoli Sniper Rifle - Isle of Sgail: Epic Katana, Sapper Axe, Mace and Baseball Bat. -Dubai: A33 Covert and DAI DTI Hokkaido: Tanto (Yuki's room) Assasins following some leaders: Assasins HWK21 (suppressed) Add mode if you know some spots!
@@xavierthewint8878 the A33 Covert is used by the guards with the red beret, that's the best disguise, you can openly carry the A33 with no need for the briefcase.
@@maxeliotttovar in fact I already have this AR (from penthouse guard) but I didn't know it was a suppressed (silenced) firearm . I know I don't need a briefcase to carry this weapon but if I need one, can I find one in Dubai ? I don't see anyone
marakesh: remote explosive, saber marakesh has the remote explosive in the tunnel connecting the school area and consulate building, on the table in front of the guard taking notes. he is an enforcer if i am not mistaken so make sure to grab it quickly and get out of sight. marakesh also has a saber, in the shoe shop right in front of the tunnel entrance near the school area
This mode brought the Hitman in Me Back To Life, Currently Level 1030 and on Freelancer Mastery Level 60, Have Acquired All the Weapons, Meeles and Tools on Hardcore Mode.
Ngl ever since I've been forced to not take lockpicks and I didn't have to focus on specific target areas for challenges, I actually discovered routes and places I never even knew existed it's insane
The amount of resets I have had in this mode is at least 50. And I fucking love it. I might not be that good at hitman but this mode is just so different
A more risky trick would also be that if you don't have all the silenced versions of all the weapons unlocked and you get an objective for something like shotgun and you know it's on a map where you can easily find an unsilenced shotgun/smg/assault rifle you can take out your target and then go to an exit that is close to three guards. Then it's just a matter of taking them out quickly and getting out before any backup has got any chance to arrive in time.
While I knew about most of these tips, I have to admit I was genuinely surprised that I didn't know about the hidden suppressed pistol in Isle of Sgail...
Another tip I'd recommend is reading the challenges for each map, Some of them are very easy such as distract a target, poison them (especially with the dart gun) however some of them can be tedious (3 weapon kills on guards). The reason this is important is because they don't change no matter what order you play the missons in. So when you get to taking out your syndicate you should pick the one that would least likely in compromising your target and causing them to run away. I did just so when my final syndicate had the challenges of No combat, No witnesses and Poison target (emetic) with a prestige of SASO in New York. So I just shot the syndicate with an emetic dart, killed him and left.
Also Tip with Identifying a syndicate if you aren't 100% sure, If you have the challenges of Distract the target or poison them emetically, You can distract the other suspects to see if they are, and you will automatically know if you have the right one if the distraction challange completes.
Important thing to note: If you don't carry your weapons to the exit you lose them. Just lost a Legendary sniper rifle because I was too lazy to climb to the Dartmoor rooftop to retrieve it. 😭
To add to robbing the bank vault, if you can get the deposit key (or risk lockpicking the deposit boxes), you can get two melee items. The Burial Dagger (which is Epic I think), and the Curved Antique Knife (which I think is Legendary).
Man, I didn't finish the main campaign and jumped right into freelancer and now I'm hooked. It's hard as hell, even when save scumming (I try to avoid it but sometimes it can't be helped lol). Almost beat my first full run only to learn the hard way that assassins in the last showdown are basically a one hit ko. I was so mad...
Good stuff freeze, these streams were absolutely worth it to gain experience. What I wanted to add is only toss items at npcs that you can afford. I've had bugs were I threw the ICA Titanium Crowbar and it glitched into the floor making it impossible to pick back up. Also, in 47s garage you can find a wrench as a melee tool, you will never know where you end up on a map...
Thanks for the quide. I've been having some trouble with freelancer. But after watching your streams and this guide I feel like I will definitely get through easier now.
You can takeoff those hidden leaders even if you kill the wrong person, you can take their phone and arrange a meeting, or simply you removed one suspect form your way (also, sometimes there as 2 suspects with the exact same behaviors and matching looks and tells). And for the best disguises, I think biker in berlin is phenomenal, and you can use hitmaps for knowing the best disguises (and for a lot more) it served me well really
If your on p5 just pause the game and close your game app and you won’t lose anything you’ll pop back up in the safe house when you load back up if you failed a showdown
Great guide all around. Another great maps for Showdowns are Sapienza and New York, specially the latter that can get you rich if tou access the vault. And the Assassins's HWK21 is awesome because makes as much damage as the ICA19s!
Hey MrFreeze longtime fan, just wanted to thank you for this video really appreciate your hardwork on the hitman videos and guides. Thanks man, seriously. Took a small hiatus from the hitman series but coming back to find the freelancer mode has been a joy. Keep up the great work dude.
Explosives are good for the explosive prestige or other missions. You can make it very easy if you also have a briefcase. Just place it where you know the target is going, or knock the target out with it. When another person closes in to wake the target up, boom. Semtex blocks also work for the throw knockout.
There is also an automatic supressed pistol in sapienza's belfry, I happened to spawn on top of it and had a great joy discovering a bodyguard with a supressor pistol inside ^^
@@fsfelix3635 On the spawning square behind the snack where Friedlander drinks his latte there's a church, but unless you find a crowbar or have a lockpick i think doors will be locked, not sure if you can go in through an open window, so if you have the opportunity go upstairs to the bell tower you'll be able to spot a bodyguard alone in a room, he's handling a suppressor pistol with camo skin and 20 bullets, not sharp précision but if you need to take a camera down and since you won't have the assassin pistol until a showdown it's still a fine addition to your arsenal
a good tip is that during a showdown, if you bump into a civilian and he has a bodyguard voice, you will immediately know that he is the assassin, so you can avoid or neutralize him. they will never have disguises, except on hokkaido where they have the generic patient disguise with the white robes
Thanks-the most useful thing i got from this was the 'free silent weapons' mentioned . Not having access to anything like that has been a major cramp in my style. I mean, I have a million unsilenced guns (gaurds drop them everywhere), but something that isn't so loud is a major help. Didn't think there were any non-shop sources of them.
I think the fastest you can get a silenced pistol is with the garbage man in Whitleton Creek, he‘s in the basement of the house thats to the right of the House where Janus is in.
Tip on showdown: to spot your target with 100% guarantee, you can approach it close enough, and as for all gamemodes, there will be a little target music playing. It never failed me and it’s overpowered of an advice.
@@MrFreeze2244 Yes. If a target approaches you, a target theme plays most of the time. The problem is that is doesn’t always work, but when it does, you’re 100% sure you’ve got it.
Thank you for the amazing content, you helped a lot, as always. And your streams are very exiting too. Want to share a funny story that happened to me in freelancer. Last mission before my first final showdown, New York, mission goes smooth until my last target: a guard drinking coffee near a civilian. Everything i need to do was distract the civilian to emetic poisoning the coffee (had the drowning objective). I decided to drop a duck to distract the civilian (didn't have coins), with my horror the duck started to quacking, I realized it was proximity duck and not remote one, tried to pick it up again, I exploded, the end.
Thnx for this ultimate guide Freeze and keep up your great work. I like for showdowns the USA Bank. In the basement by the vault you have these guards in a room. Outside on the left of that room there is a cabinet, when u open it you'll find chloroform. Put that chloroform in the ventilate system and sedate them, drag those guards out, pacify those 2 guards by the escape truck; dump all bodies in containers/closets. then when u have pacified 1 suspect, put that phone in that guard room, they come there and this choloroform keeps working, they drop phones and eventually the assassins and target itself will come to check it out. That's how I finished my campaign the 1st time. Ofcourse I killed the assassin's and the target, not the suspects ( if you do, you'll can lose up to 1000 mercer's ) Cheers!

Did you know that I played Freelancer before watching your video & you just covered everything about this Mode but there’s some tips & tricks I didn’t know! Thank You ❤️
I just started playing this mode and absolutely love it. I just wanted to say like many others, you arr my to go guyguide for anything related to hitman. Your guides are so precise, so well explained man, I know you know but compliments are always good to take right :). So yeah love your videos, you are without a doubt the best there is out there, and you sir just won another paying subscriber. Not sure what it's going to change for me, but 3 bucks a month sure ain't gonna change my life, and if all the people you touch with your precision work do the same, hope it might change yours. Keep it up my man, love from Greece
Cool video. Thanks for the tips. I already got most guns, all tools, etc. I didn't failed the last 3 or 4 campaigns. So I'm just sitting on cash and buying the cheapest stuff I don't have yet. I do that so because then I always get the more expensive items in the reward chest after I took down one syndicate. I'm just sitting on cash so I can allow it to take down a wrong target in showdowns. And for showdowns I usually like to use smaller maps that I know very well especially good for the time hide and seek stuff as well since I know all the closet spots.
This has helped me tremendously. I know this guide says 10 tips but the way you deliver it, its more than that. Ive been playing for quite some time and consider myself pretty good. But you sir are a mastermind. Thanks for the knowledge Mr freeze. You the man!
Proximity explosives are also extremely useful in freelancer since you can just chuck it at a targets face and boom, free collateral explosive kill, double target kill, or additional objective done
Another good location to loot is Whittleton creek: It has the dax smg, different ARs and a shotgun in Cassidys property (easy to get via pesticide knockouts) and some poisons (west property). Edit: A tip for couriers: Take a banana when you unlock the kitchen and you have space in your inventory. Really useful on busy maps. Just place it in their path, complete another objective, grab mercers on way back.
Remember in the original games when the target get suspicious or feels danger he would flee the area. Now in hitman 3 they ignore everything. I mean even in absolution in some missions all civilian npc's would flee once there are gunshots leading to empty streets and swat team coming in. Speaking of swat team, hitman contracts best game ever. The gunshots were perfect, powerfull like eargasm. I love the beginning where you needed to escape the building full of swat teams. I replayed that mission so many times in every way.
One thing that he didn't mention about showdowns, is that you can kinda cheese it by shooting a sniper rifle near suspects, and when they start fleeing it'll tell you if it's your target. Especially helpful on very open maps.
Great video as always! One point...There is an inconsistency with the "No Firearms" conditions. If that is the optional for the location, using a dart gun will fail it. If it is a condition of the prestige optional, using a dart gun does not fail it. I kept thinking I was crazy the first few days when it kept going both ways, but then I got a chance to test it on a mission that had "No Firearms" on both. Used a dart and it failed the one but not the other.
@@MrFreeze2244 Then there's something else in play that we are all missing with this, because I've had it go both ways. Got a screenshot of what I described above, with the regular objective failed but the prestige did not when a dart was used. Sieker, if memory serves. Which wouldn't be a surprise as it's not the only thing like that. Like the Collateral Damage - Firearms objective. You have to go through the non-target to the target to succeed. If you hit the target first and the shot goes through to the add, it fails. Not stipulated in the description, of course.
@@MrFreeze2244 So I got the prestige objective for SA - No Firearms again and got to test it again. It seems that if you use a dart on a target, you do not fail it. If you fire a dart and do not hit an NPC, you fail the objective. I also tested on both targets and non-target NPCs and they are the same. It's worth noting that there were no other shooting related objectives up, like Perfect Shooter. This would explain why I got a fail on the regular No Firearms objective but not the prestige on the same run. Needs a fix one way or another. I would dispute dart guns being firearms, exactly, but that's IOI's call.
#11 Secret tip : if your game is botched by a NPC wallhack bug and you kinda die or whatever, press Esc , then Ctrl+Alt+Suppr (on PC) and go kill the Hitman 3 task (dont go back to Menu!), than relaunch the game : you wont lose every tools and half of your cash.
I really think there should be some sort of shop or way to buy things at the safehouse. They could make them more expensive or something to balance it out
another good tip is that if you are playing a map that doesn't have the "best disguise" that lets you access everywhere, try to pick a disguise that doesn't have many enforcers. for example, colorado doesn't have that "best disguise", but the bomb squad guard disguise doesn't have many enforcers outside of the bomb testing area. it's not the easiest disguise to get, but you may be able to lure one of them behind the hay bales and take their clothes
More tips for finding the leaders, if you find any suspect with the right meeting, take them out and use their phone to lure all possible targets to narrow it down. If you have a 'poison target' challenge and a kalmer/sieker, you can poison who you think is the target and if the challenge completes then that's your target.
If you mess up a run, you can hard close the game and when you reopen the game you will be back in your safehouse right before you started the mission with everything ready to go
I've found my go-to for showdowns. Maldives. 3 showdowns in a row the meeting takes place in one of the beach houses at the start. Sneak in, clear out the 2 housekeepers when suspects are on their loop elsewhere, wait for suspect to arrive take out a suspect - they always end up in the bathroom. Sometimes they have a guard with them. Take them out as you see fit. If it's your target, great, if not arrange a meeting for the bedroom. Now fully clear without the maids in it. Eliminate suspects when they arrive as you see fit and quick exit on the boat 2 huts over. I'm not sure if I've just got lucky with target placement, but it's worked three times now.
I’ve enjoyed it so far. Although my final showdown I got spotted right away some how by a lookout while looking at the first suspect. This was on Isle of Sgail with 9 suspects. It turned into an impromptu kill everyone challenge and I died pretty quickly. 😢
HARDCORE TIPS: So I just finished a campaign on hardcore mode and here are some useful findings I want to share: Don’t care about payout objectives! You only have to do the PRESTIGE objective on each mission, so just do them. Only do the other payout objectives if they can be done without taking a risk. Choose your map with the showdown in mind! While the normal missions are hard, showdowns can be completely broken.. EVERY suspect is an enforcer to all your disguises and assassins will oneshot you. Therefore don’t rely on your normal showdown maps like Paris or New York, as they are very narrow and you will get spotted quickly. Instead choose maps with large open spaces where you can safely identify your target from a distance. MIAMI worked best for me, as there is this large area along the shore where almost all suspects go to sometimes. If Miami is not available look for Mendoza, or a map with a safe on it, as opening safes with explosives is one of the easiest prestige objectives you can get. Also you might choose a map which has the poison target payout objective, because you can use this for your advantage: If you sieker a suspect and the objective checks out, bam, theres your target. Avoid combat at all costs and quit the game! If you are not 100 percent sure that you can take out several guards without them shooting you, don’t risk it, especially on showdowns! It might be cheesy, but when things go south, immediatly close and restart the game (Dont exit to main menu) When you restart the mission, everything will be the same, so you can use this and bring some gear, which will benefit you in that specific mission. Hope this helps some of you, good hunting!
I just figured something nice out: sometimes after a mission a coin will spawn at your safehouse. Just go outside to the lake und then right to the meditation spot. It might spawn close to the shore, so always check this spot out, if you cant remember where coins are on each map (like me lol)
Another very useful tip I would add to the list: suppliers and reward crates in your safehouse will always offer you tools and gear that you do not already own. So rest assured that you can use your freelancer tools to your hearts content, because sooner or later you will get them back eventually.
One annoyance is that certain objectives/prestige objectives are not compatible with each other and the game has no issues with letting you choose them to your own folly. It's not a huge deal but I'm trying to get the 7500+ merces payout challenge and I'm nearly at my wits end.
I started freelancer yesterday. It's thought. Vision cones are bigger I think, targets and couriers are often roaming a crowded area. I like it. The regular missions became too easy at this point. Freelancer feels refreshing. Although I don't see the point of the prestige reset.
7:45 You can actually use the Kalmer and the Seiker even when you have a no firearms challenge, I’ve done it many times it seems it only counts as firearms if you miss? So as long as you don’t miss your darts you can use them even when it says you can’t. Edit: Ok I’ve tested it again and I figured out that you can use the dart guns if it’s a prestige objective. But not if it’s a normal mission side objective. I’ve only ever done it as a prestige objective since I never chose espionage campaigns.
I wish that guards would react to blood on the floor like blood money. And that they wouldn’t go back to non alert mode after they find bodies, hear gunshots, or your on a killing spree lol it would seem more realistic. Also like how some of the older hitman games the guards would call in backup like more guards would come into the game from somewhere off of the map. Other than that the game is perfect.
For tip #5, you can stand in a crowd and throw a blunt weapon at an assassin and you will not be compromised since both you and the person you're throwing the object at need to be spotted for you to be compromised. This will, however, make it so the assassins and lookouts are alerted, so make sure to do it near the end this will make you lose Silent Asassin, too.
Hopefully already mentioned by someone else, New York, if you do the vault robbery (pick up all 7 gold bars) as the bunny bank robber the (legendary) golden sawed off shotgun spawns just like in the normal game
O.O DAMN, I had Tanto unlocked and I did not know it counts as katana. Thank you Sensei. I also always forget about bananas, yet those should make it so much easier to stay "silent", especially with couriers. Good pick of hints. Helped me even though I've already learned enough to play this mode myself. After "get suppressed weapons and freebies ASAP", the constant vault / other safes info is probably the best one. Something that could be easily ignored since it's not your task on this mission and there's literally nothing for you … oh wait, there is. There might be even more than you normally get after you complete that mission with all 4 tasks successfully completed. That blew my mind two days ago when I've learned about it (and about free legendary shotgun at the same time). P.S. I couldn't watch your VERY long streams in full, but I see that you don't like Colorado. I love Colorado for showdowns. Outfits are easy to acquire. Maps are flat. Many places to hide. Possible targets are easily accessible. You do have to start by finding main target, but after that, if bad thing happens you just go Rambo-mode, hide, kill whoever you want as nearly all of them are guards carrying weapons adding more bullets to your SMG or assault riffle and don't hurt your bank account. I know, it's damn far from silent assassin playstyle, but instead of constant app restarts I saw on your streams, I'd rather simply complete the map with outcome as good as possible in this case, not caring about having to generally kill 90% of map population ;) It's a very dangerous (nearly everyone carries a weapon) map, but at the same time, a very controllable one. So far I did die on other maps in freelancer. Since I started doing showdowns in Colorado, it happened once, that because of my mistake, my target escaped, but I've survived all my runs and quickly learned how to do it smoothly.
You can also get a Tanto in the bank manager's private room on New York. The white uniform guards in Dubai carry suppressed pistols so that's a much easier way to find your first suppressed weapon than taking on Isle of Sgail. In Berlin you can get a biker disguise without even having to knock anyone out and that allows you to go anywhere on the map
Just an addition. 'Hide Target Bodies', although it says do not let the body be found, you actually have to put the bodies in containers, or dump them into a hidden state. Concealed grass etc. will not work. Basically you want the objective ticked and greyed out before exiting the mission
It's funny really because last night someone literally said the opposite lol I know you're right though
There is a more detailed description when you go into the menu with intel etc. It probably tells you there it has to be without being found.
Also “No Bodies Found” can be failed even with an accidental K.O. I thought that wouldn’t count the same way it does with S.A.
That's just how Freelancer works
This game mode is hard, as someone who has 100+ hours per game it’s really rewarding
I just failed the last mission of the whole campaign I love my life
Do you even have 6 maps on level 20 with 100+ that’s really not a lot…
@@DvBlackFire how tf isn't that a lot mate.
@@DvBlackFire I mean I’m saying I have easily over 300+ hours in total
I’ve only been playing for about a month and love this mode. Although I wouldn’t be as good of it wasn’t for freeze
P.S. Take a Campaign with New York EVERY chance you get, and rob the vault every time. Easy way to get 10-15 THOUSAND on top of your objectives.
My tips:
・Don't be rushed, calm down.
・Before doing something, read descriptions
and try to understand meanings... always.
・Don't think twice about anything you lost.
This is the most important tip for assassins.
I mean... there's some life advice right there (y)
I watched a streamer uninstall after he lost his silenced pistol as if you can't just buy a new one or get a guaranteed one during showdowns. Freelancer purges the weak.
@@HarmonicGray It truly does
@HarmonicGray sometimes people are just having a bad day man doesn't mean their weak
When I first played Hitman: 3, I thought you could *only* kill targets…
I played the entire game that way, up until finishing the trilogy.
@@RecluseBootsy not killing guards isn't just a self-imposed challenge in the main game, it takes away from your XP at the end of the level. This can be mitigated slightly by getting head shots on them
@@apictureoffunctionHow does it take away XP? It takes away score and such if you kill anyone that isn’t a main target in the main game
@@KhaosInductionCreator that's what I mean. When you kill anyone who isn't a target, you get a pop-up saying "Non target killed -50XP"
Although if it's a guard and you get a headshot, you get an additional pop-up saying "Guard Headshot +25XP"
Tip I've learned, is if you have an objective during a Leader mission that says "poison target", use emetic poison on them. If it is your target, that objective will be complete and you now know that that is your target.
neat!
Makes sense I guess, since dart guns are technically not firearms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Still, it's probably an oversight by IO because regardless of perfect shooter objective, the No Firearms one will always fail if you miss the dart.
If I use the Seiker during a no firearms objective it always fails no matter what
So they are basically arms that shoot but not firearms..?
I like to think of myself as an above average Hitman player and OH MY GOD this is kicking my ass. I've gotten killed so many times playing Freelancer that I'm becoming an expert at dying. Your tip about getting a silenced pistol in Sgail was a lifesaver. I mean, I'm still failing miserably, but at least I'm not losing my only silenced weapon forever every time. That's an improvement right??? I think if I die another couple hundred times I might improve slightly. Oof...
Same. I can't do it at all.
lol same
Then you’re not an above average hitman player, I thank mr freeze honestly for teaching me how to start with nothing and doing suit only or silent assassin, when I started freelancer I thought killing would ruin your mastery and reduce your merces so I would finish the campaigns without killing anyone, it was challenging but yeah freelancer is easy
Im trash and have played every Hitman lol
@@surfnaked2143 playing them is nothing, you had to do elusive targets and things like SA/SO
After watching your streams the past few days I've come to appreciate your guides even more now, considering all the effort you put in. Watching your streams is a great way to understand how "the sausage is made" so to speak. Great work as always!
Thank you
Freelancer is amazing, always loved the newer hitman trilogy and love it more with this mode. IO put alot of care into Hitman so I'm looking forward to the 007 game they are developing
Wait… 007 , game?
@jackthorton10 Yes they are developing a 007 game
Finally beat a campaign. All that time I spent learning escalations and elusive targets has been like I was “Mr Miyagi” trained for freelancer.
The whole time before felt kinda like boringly waxing a car, but that info is so handy now.
For real this freelancer shit is too easy I’ve played all the assassins creed and all the old hitmans it’s second nature I’m in and out in the same suit nobody even knew I was there lol
even after about 800hrs on hitman, you’re still teaching me master freeze.

Now THAT was a really helpful video. I was ignoring the vault in New York the whole time because I didn't think merces would be hidden on the maps! That's a really nice money boost each time
There are chances to get merces in the crates as well, I am guessing it happens after you open like 3 or 4 in that mission
Another great tip, if you don't have concussive grenades an exploding fire extinguisher will work for completing objectives that require a concussive explosion
@@elementus2857 thank you!
A few things I've noticed as I've been working through this:
- Certain sniper rifles can be put in a briefcase instantly, mainly the Sieger 300 ones that are rare and up, the others have to be "dismantled" first before they are put away;
- The collateral kill challenge doesn't count for killing 2 targets in one shot;
- While a suppressed shotgun is a better way to do the kill challenge for them, they can only go on your back or in a briefcase. A Sawed-Off shotgun goes straight into your inventory for a quick getaway if you are trying to do something like a Suit Only challenge;
- For long range kills with an assault rifle, try using the TAC-4 S/A. The automatic and burst-fire ARs can can be a liability with the extra bullets that may hit walls, other NPCs or break objects, which could alert guards;
- The Improvised Explosive you can make at the workstation in the garage (once you level up enough), has a weight of 0, So its always worth taking along to use a a distraction if you think you'll need one. You will have to make it every time you return the the safe house though;
- As well as the banana that appears in the kitchen, you will eventually unlock a bar of soap in the bathroom attached to 47's bedroom for slip challenges;
- Always take the water and gas canisters from your Freelancer Tools back with you, they will be refilled when you return to the safe house;
- If you are wanting to take multiple large items back to the safe house for your collection, remember that you can carry 3 items.
Poisoning the target is a great one for that too, kalmer or sieker helps in making a quick confirmation on who the target is.
SMGs can also be used to shoot open doors, so the SMG in Dubai map is very worth to grab early as it acts as both silent firearm and crowbar.
Yo Freeze I know from your streams that your time with Freelancer hasn't always been too pleasant so thanks for putting in the effort to make it all more enjoyable for the rest of us.
A video on the quickest way to get the best disguise for each level would be super helpful!
If you're grinding for full rack of weapons I can share a few with you, keep in mind that in every missions there is a briefcase that you can find so you can take these pricey weapons:
- Mendoza: Bartoli Sniper Rifle
- Isle of Sgail: Epic Katana, Sapper Axe, Mace and Baseball Bat.
-Dubai: A33 Covert and DAI DTI
Hokkaido: Tanto (Yuki's room)
Assasins following some leaders: Assasins HWK21 (suppressed)
Add mode if you know some spots!
Mumbai: sniper rifle near Kashmerian and legendary and epic melee weapons in the safe deposit boxes in New York
Where do you find the A33 Covert and briefcase in Dubai ? thanks
I don't see anyone
marakesh: remote explosive, saber
marakesh has the remote explosive in the tunnel connecting the school area and consulate building, on the table in front of the guard taking notes. he is an enforcer if i am not mistaken so make sure to grab it quickly and get out of sight.
marakesh also has a saber, in the shoe shop right in front of the tunnel entrance near the school area
This mode brought the Hitman in Me Back To Life, Currently Level 1030 and on Freelancer Mastery Level 60, Have Acquired All the Weapons, Meeles and Tools on Hardcore Mode.
I'm glad to see you're still making top tier content. I used to watch you like crazy back in 2016. Thank you for the helpful tips!
Been a lot of fun to watch your stream the last couple of days, keep it up!
Pale Rider is extremely good disguise for the VIP area of Miami as it isn't enforced by the guards who usually patrol that area.
Important thing to note: If you don't carry your weapons to the exit you lose them. Just lost a Legendary sniper rifle because I was too lazy to climb to the Dartmoor rooftop to retrieve it. 😭
Yep.. I did that by just forgetting to pick it up before leaving in a hurry. Pissed me off.
But after watching your streams and this guide I feel like I will definitely get through easier now.
the best tip imo is you dont have to worry about silent assassin or bodies being found. neither of those hurt your money balance.
I think the best tips are, take your time. No need to rush or take chances. You can kill guards and it doesn't affect anything.
Amazing content in a new era of Hitman MrFreeze!
Thank you for all the streams and content you’re amazing
Thank you :)
Amazed you haven’t gone insane from everyone in chat for multiple hours on end! Amazing work!❤
Great guide all around. Another great maps for Showdowns are Sapienza and New York, specially the latter that can get you rich if tou access the vault. And the Assassins's HWK21 is awesome because makes as much damage as the ICA19s!
The vault only has like 2,000 mercers. I kept hearing people say it had 8,000 to as much as 20,000 but that's either lies or it's been patched out.

What's a belfry?
where is the belfry
@@fsfelix3635 On the spawning square behind the snack where Friedlander drinks his latte there's a church, but unless you find a crowbar or have a lockpick i think doors will be locked, not sure if you can go in through an open window, so if you have the opportunity go upstairs to the bell tower you'll be able to spot a bodyguard alone in a room, he's handling a suppressor pistol with camo skin and 20 bullets, not sharp précision but if you need to take a camera down and since you won't have the assassin pistol until a showdown it's still a fine addition to your arsenal
@@loukita513 thanks really helps
@@fsfelix3635 Glad it does, not having a supressor pistol as 47 is heretism xD
a good tip is that during a showdown, if you bump into a civilian and he has a bodyguard voice, you will immediately know that he is the assassin, so you can avoid or neutralize him. they will never have disguises, except on hokkaido where they have the generic patient disguise with the white robes
Use instinct, assassin's have a thick outline like guards.
Also a shotgun can be used if you have no crowbar or lockpick - especially silenced ones
I think the fastest you can get a silenced pistol is with the garbage man in Whitleton Creek, he‘s in the basement of the house thats to the right of the House where Janus is in.
Yep, I stumbled across that by accident yesterday. Just sneaking around kinda exploring.
Tip on showdown: to spot your target with 100% guarantee, you can approach it close enough, and as for all gamemodes, there will be a little target music playing. It never failed me and it’s overpowered of an advice.
Target music playing?

Thank you, Freeze! You are my goto for HItman. Appreciate the content sir!!
A year in a half and im finally level 99. I have enjoyed watching your videos and at times, they really helped.
Been grinding for like 8 hours and only at level 5. I like the challenge but this has become a full time job!!
Tell me about it 😂
This has helped me tremendously.
Always good to see more videos and streams from freeze
Hi mate. Watched your vids for so long and took it for granted. Your work is immense. Especially with helping with the way the NPC work in freelance.
Because it's cheating and corny asf
@@MrFreeze2244 I admit that it's corny, but I don't consider it cheating
Great video as always!
One point...There is an inconsistency with the "No Firearms" conditions. If that is the optional for the location, using a dart gun will fail it. If it is a condition of the prestige optional, using a dart gun does not fail it.
I kept thinking I was crazy the first few days when it kept going both ways, but then I got a chance to test it on a mission that had "No Firearms" on both. Used a dart and it failed the one but not the other.
ua-cam.com/users/livepT2tuGhwrq4?feature=share 1:13:59
Great clarification! That makes total sense looking back on it. Had both instances happen just didn't pick up on that difference
You're right, I tested the theory today
#11 Secret tip : if your game is botched by a NPC wallhack bug and you kinda die or whatever, press Esc , then Ctrl+Alt+Suppr (on PC) and go kill the Hitman 3 task (dont go back to Menu!), than relaunch the game : you wont lose every tools and half of your cash.
@@twoerly i do this on my ps5 lol the developers think they smarter than the Average joe
There's also a Tanto in the director's office in New York
This mode is literally a love/hate relationship for me.
If you mess up a run, you can hard close the game and when you reopen the game you will be back in your safehouse right before you started the mission with everything ready to go
I'm aware. I don't like sharing that as a general tip though.
Does that work with PC?
The king of hitman! That banana tip was primo, cheers!
There is a tantō in NY as well, in the Secret VIP room on the highest floor
Spotted that UNATCO theme towards the end ;)
I didn’t know you could get extra merces from the vault in New York. Thanks for sharing!!
HARDCORE TIPS:
So I just finished a campaign on hardcore mode and here are some useful findings I want to share:
Don’t care about payout objectives!
Thank you for the video sir. I've been looking for hitman freelancer tips on UA-cam
I think a lot of people have
Another very useful tip I would add to the list: suppliers and reward crates in your safehouse will always offer you tools and gear that you do not already own.
Yeah it's frustrating for sure
I started freelancer yesterday. It's thought. Vision cones are bigger I think, targets and couriers are often roaming a crowded area. I like it. The regular missions became too easy at this point. Freelancer feels refreshing.
Although I don't see the point of the prestige reset.
Thanks Freeze!!! Your videos have helped me so much for years now!! Keep up the great content!
There’s also a Tanto in the gallery room in Isle of Sgail.
For tip #5,
you can stand in a crowd and throw a blunt weapon at an assassin and you will not be compromised since both you and the person you're throwing the object at need to be spotted for you to be compromised.
This will, however, make it so the assassins and lookouts are alerted, so make sure to do it near the end
this will make you lose Silent Asassin, too.
Best hitman youtuber for sure been loving your content
You can also get a Tanto in the bank manager's private room on New York. The white uniform guards in Dubai carry suppressed pistols so that's a much easier way to find your first suppressed weapon than taking on Isle of Sgail.
In Berlin you can get a biker disguise without even having to knock anyone out and that allows you to go anywhere on the map
