rode a 2022 M20 rental in bentonville this year for two days. I really loved the bike, and i did get the 'smaller' size (could have gone large, but I got a medium for more flickability). It's really a fun bike to huck off of trail side hits and drops of less than 3', which is fine, as my days of seeking ever bigger stuff are waning - I'm just in for a rowdy good time on the trail, and the Rise is a fun bike, if you remember it's still a 'trail-bike' (but you could make it a mini-enduro bike with a 150mm fork, wider rims, 4-pot brakes, etc. - prolly be super awesome that way)
The 2023 H30 is approx 1lb lighter with a new controller switch. Nice review. I am 135lb rider so this bike would do just great for me doing light XC riding. Cheers bro!
Oh in the frame is hard to feel, interesting. I am looking for the lightest eMTB however I do not want to spend $10k to get into the 36lb Orbea M series. Any suggestions Otter? Thank you!@@OtterMTBtech
I enjoyed the Trek Fuel Exe because it’s totally silent, bike is more capable than Orbea, the rear suspension felt alittle dull. The Shimano motor and Bosch make allot of noise. The old Specialized motor was annoyingly noisy and underpowered. New Spesh motor may be better. Unveiling the Truth: Trek Fuel EXE Tested ua-cam.com/video/1vqQo_gu0II/v-deo.html I honestly go full power or full Amish. Mid way bikes feel weird. That being said lifting a mid powered bike is easier.
Yeah, the Shimano motor from 2022 had a rattling issue inside the gears. It was corrected in 2023 from what I was told. I always use a speed sensor on my Yamaha PW-X motor. If you use a speed dongle on Bosch, it can brick the motors. I think the Specialized motors are made by Brose' which are known to have issues. Yamaha is my choice which are maintenance free and very reliable indeed. Trek Fuel sounds like a good option. Not sure how much torque it has though... @@OtterMTBtech

H means hydroformed and stands for alloy. M is Carbon. In 2023 you can get any M Version with 540Wh battery
Thanks 😇

Good choice the long seat tube on XL is achilles heel of that bike no fixing it. Would have been a ripper on a large
I have an XL with a 210 one up dropper, works great

Excellent trail bike, dropping a pound in the wheels is allot. Down in the frame it’s hard to feel

The 2023 is lighter. The high end model I believe they were able to get it down to 32 lbs.
😎
15.9kg (36lbs)
SBF reference LOL. earned a sub with that one. I lost everything in my BlockFi cuz of that a$$hole
Sorry to hear, I got lucky with Binnace 💸
