Interior suggestion: two tone brown and tan. To all veterans who have served our household commends you for your dedication to our country. On November 11th at 1:11 pm CT our family will gather under the flag of this great country in a moment of silence to honor and give our thanks for your service. Bless your family! So many UA-camrs are basically begging for our money just to pad their wallets, the world needs more people like you and your family and the Triple F family.
Dennis and his is what America is about the way grew up and I'm from Yonkers however York. My peeps did well however had to crush 4000 + cars dated from 1932 to 2002. 😊Imagine what those parts would be worth now.
I look forward to every new thing you do every week! VGG is way better than roadworthy rescues, because we get all your shenanigans. But I love both! And watch religiously! And I dig everything your family does with the other channels! Keep it up ! You’re interview with TL was fantastic! Keep ‘em coming!
I am a veteran and I love this build because my first car was a Red 1974 Duster with a Slant six and manual 3 speed on the floor. I always dreamed of switching it to a V8. Until I rolled it that is. :( Anyway I work as an industrial mechanic, and I am always looking for short-sleeved button-down front mechanic shirts. I love the 1935 Truck shirt. I can't buy it till I can get back to work, which will hopefully be soon. I have been off work on disability for back problems since early August. I had surgery and am almost healed and ready to return to work hopefully. Good thing too cause bills are starting to get behind. Anyway, I am hoping you guys will come out with more short sleeve mechanic shirts because I am always looking for cool ones to wear at work. Most of the ones I have are just single color with no designs which I like but something like the 35 Truck one is really cool as well. I also like the ones you wear with the VGG American Flag Images on them.
Definitely black interior. Also, I am ready for you to do another ski boat ‘will it run’ with your brother. Another idea, be cool to see you do a video finding an old KZ1000 or KZ650 in a barn/garage and getting it to run. Still plenty of parts available for them.
You're an inspirational man to be honest Derek, every time I watch it makes me focus on my next project that needs attention. If only I had 30's energy again how much I could get done lol
Had one of those about 35 years back. 318. Gold Duster. Had the wheels. Pulled off the vinyl top and primered it in a parking lot. Got one of my highest number speeding tickets in it. Loved it. Part of me is thinking get another one. But... my insurance man and local deputies would likely frown real hard. Then there is the Missus. Somebody win this thing!
Another worthy resurrection...and extreme generosity. As an old Sgt, you remind me of why I respect and subscribe (the only UA-cam channel I am a paying member of)to VGG. Can't wait to see this up and running! Thank you for all you and yours do for veterans and gear heads!
Lifetime member of the DAV here. Love how you help the community. I just bought two of the spark plugs and some other stuff. My dad was a Mopar guy and worked at Walt’s Dodge in Plainfield, Ind. He always bought the newest and fastest every year so he never owned a Duster, lol but his interiors were always black except his 71 Challenger Indy 500 pace car which was white interior. So I’m voting for all black interior in honor of my dad and “The Dodge Boys”
As a veteran I thank you for your generosity to my fellow veterans in need. Love the content you put out from this channel the lodge channel In the Isles and Roadworthy Rescues I even watched your little man on Littlegrip Garage . Keep up the great work. So when can a guy get his hands on some hood savers. My son has an 82 K20 we need a set.
This page has inspired me to do so much beyond what I thought I could do. Now I own a C3, C4, and 2nd Gen Camaro and looking to keep growing my collection. I love classic cars and I swear I was born in the wrong generation. Thank you for all the content and inspiration!
Hi Derek my husband loves your show and watching your show every night so much so that he’s got me watching your show now. I grow up with 7 bothers that are all mechanics. But I live in Maryland and they all live in California and can’t help. But have you ever worked ok 68 Oldsmobile tornado, we are trying to rebuild it, it’s been sitting at me dad in a field for over 30 years but my husband is having trouble tuning the engine.
My father was a veteran in the Army and Coast Guard. Miss him everyday. Life is short, learn all you can from your elders and give thanks to all service members, local police and fire etc. A simple thank you goes a long way in my book. Thank you Again Bieri family.
Thank you for all you do to help our Vets . Been following a long time ! Grabbed some stuff from the store. Love the Duster , love the channel, love to see the boys working with you when they can. God Bless you and your family, keep up the good work !
This should turn out to be a really cool build! I think you should definitely do black interior! For the wheels, I would go with 15’s all around, with a staggered wheel offset front/rear! Excited about this one!
Man... my mom owned the same duster since before I was born in till I was in my late 20s, for about 32 years. I grow up in the back of that car, and learn to drive in that. I never by stuff on line, but I am because I love to own that memory 😊. I love your show
One of the most exciting things is that you've opened it up to us Canucks as well! Thanks for that Derick! I can't wait for more of this build. Awesome stuff.
Derek, thank you so much for helping out my brothers and sisters in arms. I'm still in, but I have many friends who use DAV. They're absolutely a wonderful organization and resource. They are a huge help to veterans, and I'm so glad you're helping out. It means a lot to me and my buds.
Black interior, with saddle blankets for seat covers. As a veteran it makes me happy to see the support. Just bought some of those sweet tickets to hopefully drive that thing in the future!!
Derek you are such an amazing person giving back to the community. No wonder everyone loves you and your family. You're just a regular guy just like everyone in the world. Being a celebrity has not changed you at all.
My first car was a 1973 Duster. It was green on green. It had the leaning tower of power. Slant 6 225. What a pooch, it barely moved out of its own way. I loved that car, I always wanted to hop it up. A good friend of mine bought it and dropped a 440 in it and made a drag car out of it.
Thank you for making my Fridays!!! I look forward to seeing your videos every week. Thanks for giving back to our veterans you are truly awesome. My Dad was a Vietnam Vet and I miss him everyday. On the Duster, well I’ll be dippped, sorry I couldn’t resist. I would go Black interior with gold accents. Wheels I would go with the same size all around. 14’s are getting hard to come by. Cant wait to see how this build turns out, it will be an awesome rig. I was shopping as soon as I saw the video!! God bless you and your family.
As soon as we started watching this video my wife was online ordering merch before I could blink,I can't believe this is a giveaway car!Vice grip garage is what after 33 years of marriage finally got my wife interested in watching a car show, she met Jessica and took her picture with her at Iola and hasn't quit talking about it since.
As a teen, our family had two dusters... a '72 slant six with a 3-speed manual (green), and a '74 with the 318 auto (Gold package, yellow w/black stripe). Fun-ness!!!!
Disabled veteran here and I love this channel. I bought a 1987 GMC Sierra Pick up for my son, who loves it! It’s being rebuilt. Hoping to get it done before he graduates 2025!
The LS through me off for a moment, but then I remembered that I had to go with Chevy LS 2.03" intake valves on my heads. That's the only Chevy parts that went on my 318. Looking forward to the build out. :)
Hi Derek, great videos much appreciated, i always encourage people to take a break as its important to think about what your trying to achieve with a car, take your time and make a good decision when buying your cars! hope this helps!
Please, whatever you do, don't change the color. That's one of the best parts of that car is how well the paint is preserved. Just buff best you can, wipe some of your clear on it and move on. That thing is beautiful just like it is.
My husband is losing his mind lol that’s the same car that was his first car. Best of luck to everyone who enters! So very generous of you Derek!!! ❤ what an amazing charity pick too! You are the best example of what being a real man is and a great role model for any kids watching!!
As a Veteran myself but not disabled, Knowing you are participating in helping Veterans is Fantastic. It is a shame that the government doesnt help more for those who served!
If I win this Duster, and I hope I do, I'm gonna grow a mustache, get an emu and drive around town telling everyone how they can save on car insurance! 🤣 Such a cool car, love yuh, Derek!
Great episode and even greater guy for all you do for our veterans. And thanks for all that you do for the car community as well. As for the interior: black would look great IMO. I think it would balance out that exterior some. Looking forward to seeing the wheel choice.
Love seeing you resurrect this Duster. In 1973 my family moved from Indiana to Phoenix Arizona. Right before we moved, my dad bought a second car, because the entire family with luggage, wouldn't fit in our other car. The new car was a 1973 Plymouth Duster. It was a root beer color, which would look great on your project. It also had gold pinstripes that followed the body curve. I was 16 and had just gotten my driver's license. I was assigned driving duties for the Duster, and the three day trip. It was a great experience for me, except that it was August and the Duster didn't have AC. Watching this video brought back some great memories.
I must say that you couldn't have chosen a more desirable giveaway for me. My family has owned dusters, darts etc my whole life. My favorite car/ baby was a '74 duster that was so beautiful. It was baby blue with black racing stripes and black interior. I had a seizure at 18 (a year after I bought it) and rolled it on the freeway. I had a chance to buy a replica of it 7 years ago and I didn't. Anyway thank you Derek for all your amazing restorations, laughs and awesome videos.
I have owned a lot of these cars, used them to deliver Sunday papers. When i was 16 i had 5 motor routes. When one died i would buy another. Had at least 4 of them. Sunroof was fun.
Hello Derek I really loving this new build here I fr big storm no electricity for 5days and I so happy to watch you well in beings me a lot of happiness god bless from France
That's such a generous thing to do donating the Duster but equally the cause is such a good one to, Veterans have given so much for their country and they deserve to be looked after in their time of need. ✊👏
I had a 70 duster. It had a straight 6 with a 3 speed on the floor. It was pumpkin orange and couldn't handle even 2 inches of snow. I miss that car like a toothache.
I think 15's in the back and 14's in the front would make that car look pretty sharp too. Love watching your shows. I got my buddy and his girlfriend watching you too. They love you
14 in the fronts look good, hoping you go old school Mopar Rally's for rims. But in Derek we trust. Cletus is giving away that Track hawk and I thought I would love that give away then you hit it out of the park with the Duster give away. Definitely buying merch for this one. Great move on helping our Vets with the sparkalator. Black interior Plz. Holley Sniper would be cool while your at it.
Thanks for everything you do! My cousin meet you on power tour he took his classic car his name is Pat swogger he has a small repair shop in a the tiny town of Corunna Indiana called broke down customs. He said you were just as down to earth in person. Stay that way. I just today bought a couple of small things on your web site. I've been following you for years. Love your content. Specially the garden tractor stuff but I am partial to that sort of thing I have been working on that stuff since I was a kid. Stay humble.
Black on black interior. Do a set of buckets and a console with a Motion Raceworks shifter. That way when someone tries to downshift it down from cruising speed to dust someone they don’t accidentally shift to first and toss a rod or drop a valve.

Still want to see a video of the build for that engine. One of the craziest most interesting engine ideas I have heard of!
I’m a Disabled Navy Veteran and abide watcher. I just want to say Thank You. You Sir are above the average. I Salute you with a Few Wobble Pops.
Thanks for donating to vets. As a vet myself im not labeled as disabled but its absolutely wonderful to see someone donate and show support to all my brothers and sisters that deal with day to day complications in their life after military service. I love your show by the way. Keep em coming. God bless and once again thankyou.
Love to see what you picked for the wheels and I would go with the black interior. Pretty cool what you’re doing for the Vets!
Interior suggestion: two tone brown and tan. To all veterans who have served our household commends you for your dedication to our country. On November 11th at 1:11 pm CT our family will gather under the flag of this great country in a moment of silence to honor and give our thanks for your service. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard I salute you.
Really cool duster, honestly I’d do the black interior. It’d look a lot better, but it could be a really cool car when it’s finished.
I like the idea of black interior...on the wheels I actually think 15's all around but KEEP the deep dish steely look with poverty caps...but thats just me.....this will be a really interesting and unique build when your done...cant wait to hear you "BRING THE THUNDER"!!
VGG is by far the best thing on the internet. Wholesome, funny and entertaining. Inspiring me to get my old MG running and driving
Bless your family! So many UA-camrs are basically begging for our money just to pad their wallets, the world needs more people like you and your family and the Triple F family.
Good luck.with the give.away Duster ! All for.a good.cause 👍👍.suggest Bouquett seats & console !
Black interior!! Make sure you keep that front bench seat. I have a family of six that needs a cool goin-to-town rig!!!
As a 26+ years retired Air Force, I think it's awesome you are donating to the DAV.
That gold 2 has been floating in the background for like ever. Lol. As always Derek……you are an amazing human!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You had energy into your 30s? What's the secret 😂
Lifetime VFW and DAV member after 20 1/2 years ARMY. Living in TX this car would need AC. Yeah I'm spoiled, and old 1975-1995 so do some math.
West Texas here and I'm spoiled as well and I totally agree with the A/C! Lol
I got one just like it when I came back from Name year later someone stole it. Never was found. I really miss that car. And thank you for the support.
This fella... we need more of him around!
Keep the 14 up front n the 15s in back I love the stink bug look on old school hot rods. Thanks for reviving my childhood
God bless you Derek for what you do and what you stand for
This page has inspired me to do so much beyond what I thought I could do.
Bless you Derek! Donating to disabled American vets I am a vet I’m not disabled, but that is the best cause I’ve heard in quite some time
I love how VGG keeps giving back to the community.
This should turn out to be a really cool build! I think you should definitely do black interior! For the wheels, I would go with 15’s all around, with a staggered wheel offset front/rear! Excited about this one!
I totally agree.
Man... my mom owned the same duster since before I was born in till I was in my late 20s, for about 32 years.
It's not a give away back to the community.
It's a faffle.
I think he’s referring to the sparkulator!!
I simply cannot wait to watch the Duster's resto come along. As always VGG's content is bang on! Grey or olive green for the interior I reckon......
Always look forward to VGG videos ... God bless you and your family!😊
As a teen, our family had two dusters... a '72 slant six with a 3-speed manual (green), and a '74 with the 318 auto (Gold package, yellow w/black stripe). Fun-ness!!!!
Vgg is my favorite channel and derek is a very upbeat and motivational guy..thanks for all you great content and keep up the awesome stuff you do
Black interior sounds like a plan keep up the good work Derek ❤
Disabled veteran here and I love this channel. I bought a 1987 GMC Sierra Pick up for my son, who loves it! It’s being rebuilt. Hoping to get it done before he graduates 2025!
As a 100% disabled veteran and a lifetime member of DAV. I love what you do for us veterans
Great job , someone is going to be blessed with a really cool machine. Keep up the great work
The LS through me off for a moment, but then I remembered that I had to go with Chevy LS 2.03" intake valves on my heads. That's the only Chevy parts that went on my 318. Looking forward to the build out. :)
Hi Derek, great videos much appreciated, i always encourage people to take a break as its important to think about what your trying to achieve with a car, take your time and make a good decision when buying your cars! hope this helps!
Derek, honestly you are a very good man a true gem you help people and knows how make people laugh, greatly appreciate your work ❤
You know this is the first time a feller has ever bleep blooped, and I must say Derek your videos make my day!!!
Black seats, dash, arm rests on the doors, gold carpet, door panels, exe. Basically gold with black features
42 minutes in to this weeks Roadworthy rescues and this pops up. Feller is wrapping up the week a happy camper
I would call the engine a mo-let
I'd love that beautiful Car. Especially now since reliable transport is rarer than a unicorn in plain sight. I love your work. Keep doing your thing.
Really cool what you're doing for the vets. They deserve more than they get.
A guy must look foward to Friday's to sit back and turn on some VGG without worrying about responsibilities.
Between You, Cleetus, And 1320’s giveaways, You guys are gonna make a feller go broke 😂
Save enough for cold snacks👍👍
Exactly. I keep telling people it's not a giveaway. It's money making raffles.
