The Nicholas Brothers truly entertained. They could sing, but watching them as a tap-dancing duo was mesmerizing! They were a class act...always performing in tuxes with tails. They were very talented.

In addition to being two of the greatest dancers ever, the Nicholas Brothers were two of the classiest gentlemen in movies. It's been written that when they were filming their dance numbers Fred Astaire would be at the studio watching them off-camera. Always loved their splits and still marvel at how smoothly they could rise up. Unbelievably talented men.

This is my first time watching this video. Amazing! No need to apologize for screaming or getting excited. I love your reactions.

In the early 60s we used to try the leap through the hankerchief then split. I couldn't do it, but I hung with guys who could. They got the girls too!
In the 50s, Tap Dancing was still a big thing. Again, I had no talent there either. The girl upstairs did. I could often hear her.

This makes you look at dancing in a different way. They not doing anything like this these days, compared to this. I don't know who comes close...

Growing up w-all of this was a delight. I was a dancer, & tho' it was real hard work, it was a joy -- a big adrenaline rush -- & you surely stayed in shape. Too bad it's gone & not even those big musicals to see in the movie theaters. It took you away from your troubles for a few hours. I like the "Jumpin' Jive" better -- I think the routine was more versatile -- especially having those stairs made a big difference. Back then everyone was able to dance even if just a little -- even if they weren't professionals. People like Johnny Carson, Dean Martin, movie star Lana Turner, singer-actress Doris Day & a lot of others. were very good dancers, but it wasn't really known.
