A Global News investigation found that Pierre Poilievre’s official UA-cam videos included a hidden tag appealing to a misogynistic online movements that Canada’s intelligence agencies view as a danger.
Canadian deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland commented on the findings on Thursday, saying she hoped political leaders would acknowledge the threats faced by women and girls are real, and that they would ensure their actions won’t put women in further danger rather than keeping them safer.
A Global News analysis of 50 of Poilievre’s most recent UA-cam videos showed that they included a tag that is an acronym for “Men Going Their Own Way," a mostly-online movement comprised of anti-feminists who attempt to cut women completely out of their lives.
The tag, According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the movement overlaps with more aggressive forms of “male supremacy.”
The tag helps promote Poilievre’s videos among those circles, and signals to UA-cam what users might be interested in the Conservative leader’s messaging.

Canadian politicians are an embarrassment. Our Deputy Prime Minister crediting these childish claims is a testament to that. If our government spent time addressing real Canadian issues, as opposed to these baseless attacks, we might be seeing our country progressing. I agree that there should be equality, as in if a female candidate were shouting out some “we don’t need men” type group they should be accused of the same things Poilievre is. But, what is this group and what do they stand for? They may not be extremists, but is it right for the leader of the Conservative party to be tagging them in video’s? No I don’t think it is. Trudeau has worn blackface several times and that’s not good. I don’t think he was pledging allegiance to any groups involved in oppression of blacks during his time as leader however.

I would like to know where the inspiration for this global news investigation came from - not that I'm against investigations or against transparency. It just seems odd to invest time and money on this kind of thing without a tip or without knowing what they were looking for. Especially when the result of the investigation lines up exactly with the Liberal party agenda: attacking their opponents with accusations of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, or some other form of bigotry.
I've watched alot of Poilievre videos and nothing he's said to this point has given even a vague suspicion of misogyny.

As a guy who has gone MGTOW i can explain it.
*Its something that focuses on impact of legislation and contract law to men.*
In particular men started to take notice of changes in divorce law since No Fault Divorce was added.
Since then, men pay 97% alimony, 95% child support, and women file 80% of the divorces (63% for irreconcilable differences). In No Fault Divorce you can have a wife cheat on you, you prove it in divorce court, but shes not deed At Fault, thanks to NO Fault Divorce, you end up paying your cheating ex-wife alimony.
Back when there was At Fault divorce if you could prove she cheated on you, youd still be pay child support etc, but at least you didnt have to pay your cheating wife ALIMONY. Since no fault divorce men have had to.
Worse yet, *paternity fraud* stats are on the rise. Of the men who took a dna test to check if their kid was theirs? In the USA 1 in THREE found out they werent the dad, in Canada its up to 1 in FIVE.
This is largely boosted thanks to hook up culture, where many women apply the "dual mate strategy",
where she has different sexual partners, gets impregnated by one, but will claim the kid is of a different man, if she thinks he'd be the better parent/provider. Men get scammed into losing years of their lives and thousands of their dollars raising another mans kid. And when they find out and take the dna test to court for divorce, its deemed no fault, he has to keep PAYING her alimony, worse yet, depending on your province if you took too long to discover your wifes scam, guess what? The judge will decide that since you acted as the father up to this point (NEVER MIND under a lie) its in "the best interest of the child" if you keep paying for it.
YEP. So you get slapped with child support for a kid that IS NOT YOURS, that you already paid for, for years.
As a result of this unbalanced legal system that enables women to basically do whatever they want in relationships but the financial consequences after a separation are imposed on men, we now have record numbers of men killing themselves after a divorce.
SO, people with mgtow forums explain this stuff to men, so they make *informed decisions* before signing on a dotted line, getting married, or cohabitating. Most men have no idea that you become common law partners after just a few years of living together, and she can get some money, not like in a divorce but some, in a break up.
Also lots of guys also think Prenups are safe. In reality there are 6 ways she can get it thrown out by a judge, one of the most common is, you signed it, then had kids AFTER. The judge "for the good of the child" will throw out the prenup to take more money from you, to give to her, who will of course be awarded primary custody. So if you havent seen the pattern yet, women can now use kids as money pawns. Men have to pay alimony to cheating and paternity frauding wives, and child support to NOT HIS KID.
SO! mgtow began as "men guarding their own wallets" basically warning men not to cohabitate or sign a marriage contract. But since marriage and divorce isnt just one sided now, but dating thanks to hook up apps is a mess, they shifted to "men going their own way" abandoning pursuit of long term dating even.
Most now just date casually and focus on self improvement especially financially.
BUT because MGTOW speakers call out the double standards of the courts, modern day feminism, and a lot of modern day women on what they say they want vs what they expect, this angers the dominant social ideology of the west. Fourth wave feminism...who unable to argue the hard statistics resorts to just calling MGTOW as sexism...and we live in a society where if 2 people are having a debate and one calls the other any kind of bigot, HALF the audience agrees without thought and stops listening to the accused.
