I think this franchise is really at its best when it breaks the established mold eg. G1 Season 3, MTMTE, Animated, Beast Machines etc. I genuinely think though that if this show had no connection to the previous one it would have been much much better. Now I kinda understand why alot of G1 fans hated the changes after the 86 movie

How waspinator survived the beast wars and travel back to cybertron. 5. Rhinox' decision was deprived by optimus unlike what blackarachnia did to silverbolt.
Regarding Megatron, the guy had likely millions of years to plan out his shit, as in the show, the 4 Million years of Transformers history’s been wiped out by Megatron and his rule essentially, tho we don’t know if this is because of his rule specifically or because he just wiped out the data, but assume it was. That means he had 4 Million years to prepare and do his shit. And with the lessons given to him by Cryotek, I’m sure he was just fine off on his own. Enough prep time to prepare for the Maximals as well.
6- why maximals decided to not recover waspinator memories? (Or at least considering to do that). They claim they fight for everyone freedom, including his, but the never did that
True. It just has a bad conection. It should have ben a stand alone or another group of cybetronians on another planet. Something like beast wars but on an alian planet. Maby the beast mode transformers need organic alt forms to protect against something on the planet that damages robot forms like a gas or smething and the predicons have the uper hand with thier vehicon drones.
I absolutely hate beast machines But I completely respect and support your opinion If you like it good on you but as a heavy beast wars fans I personally hate it
I believe the reason why BEAST MACHINES didn't connect with a lot of people is due to these reasons: 1: It embarks on the after-effects of war. Meaning after you go through traumatizing events, killings, etc. It will mold you into becoming something else. Which, in most cases depressed and mad at the world. That happened in the series, and everyone was too severely depressed. You don't showcase these dark elements in a kids' show, especially every episode. The show was too mature for its audience. 2: The organic robot forms. Many BEAST WARS fans like myself didn't like the organic look of the transformers. I understood what the writers were going for. I/e Making the transformations look more HUMANOID, which correlates with the organic spectrum. But at the same time, it felt a bit weird, and at times they were not good to look at. Not just that, because of the organic forms, the transformers have no weapons (i.e., tech/guns, etc.) except for the limited organic powers such as shock, flight, and beam powers.
While Beast Machines isn’t a perfect series and it does have its problems, I would say it’s far from being a terrible show. With Transformers shows such as Energon, Rid 2015 and The Prime Wars Trilogy, you could tell that no one gave a crap when making those shows. That’s clearly not the intent with Beast Machines, you can tell that they really did try their best here, even if it could have been a little bit better. But with that said, Beast Machines definitely does feel like the end of a long run, as not only did it mark the end of The Beast era but continuity wise, it was the end of the entire Generation One era as a whole, as every other transformers media afterwards would either be a reboot or a reimagining of the franchise.
I have many of the same criticisms but I came here to see what you thought and to see if Jetstorm got a pass. Because yes. He is one of the best things to come out of this series.
i still recall the twist of Rhinox turning bad breaking my heart as a wee lad. i missed out on silverbolt but oh man would i be disappointed as ever if i saw it.

It was a bold attempt at making a truly unique Transformers show, which people in the fandom are constantly asking for, constantly complaining about everything being too G1, then you have a show that's as far away from G1 as possible and people hate it. Meh. I liked it well enough. I acknowledge the flaws in the character writing and the tone of the story, but I disagree that Optimus was just some "crazy cult leader", his position makes complete sense given the situation he's in. He's practically in hell, has no idea what's happening but that he's on Cybertron and Megatron has taken over, and there's a voice telling him how to survive in this new environment. Of COURSE he'd follow its advice.
