This was my favorite ending, it touches me a lot to hear Mufasa say to Simba: "Well done son, we are one", as not only congratulates him for having done things well, but also I feel it as an expression of love is what keeps them together.. As a child I really liked the melody of We are one, but when you start to remember the lyrics more when you are older, you realize the true meaning..
No matter what animal, region, country, continent, culture, economic background, color, facial expression, disability, or Disney Princess or animal kingdom or any differences of who you are, We Are One!
Only now I realize how I've never stopped to really appreciate the reprise until now. Whenever I watch the movie, I'm always so focused on everything that's happening on screen and the music is just kind of flowing in the background. But now that I'm just listening and doing nothing else, I finally realize just how beautiful this really is.
I can't believe that a lot of people like Lion King 1 1/2 over this! 1 1/2 is a decent, funny story but the story of this movie is much stronger, well-developed, and original.
I wish for this sequel to come to the big screen right after the prequel about Mufasa's story. It could feature James Earl Jones. Also, footage from the animated version.
