Watched it at 7 years old and watching this 8/12/23. And when it gets to this part of the movie when he talks to his father, my eyes water up and I think about many different things ( positive ) and helps me to get relaxed and rest for nights.
I get that way too because I have lost both of my parents but first my grandfather then some time after that losing my grandmother of both sides so I know all that.

I watched this film when it premiered in theaters back in June 24th 1994. I realized how much I was thankful to have my dad from this film despite his flaws. On July 21st 1994, we watched Angels In The Outfield as a proper family unaware that would be my dad's last night on earth, and his last film we watched together. The next evening I would be informed by my mom on July 22nd, 1994 that my dad had died in a car accident after a State Trooper came to our house to deliver the news to my mom. The Lion King was there for me when I needed comfort the most, since now I know how Simba felt. Sometimes it still hurts, and sometimes I can enjoy this film without crying at different moments. My dad was my Mufasa and I'll never forget him. My hope is that I haven't let him down with everything I'm going through and now that I'm a dad too since 2016. I hope will never experience the gut wrenching grief of losing me like I lost my dad suddenly. But if that happens, my message to him is the same as Mufasa: "Remember who you are. You are my son, and you are a Kohane...."
A beautiful mix of all the best calming parts of The Lion King. And considering the number of crescendos in some of those songs, it’s hard to find a mix that includes just those quiet parts. Could you do something like this for the calming parts from Tarzan’s score?

the moment Simba sees the Dead corpse of mufasa that was the moment I also had to cry myself because my mother of mine is gone too who died of cancer I was 10 years old I was but Hans Zimmer remains the best composer
