Just bought a 2023 model. Holy Heck! I love this guitar. The volume, tonality, and sheer attack is incredible!!!
I love Gibson acoustics. Loud for their size with very complex and rich tonality. Very playable too. I have Martins as well and in many ways I prefer my Gibson.

For me not, Gibsons always sound kinda generic IMO, whereas Martins have more nuance...generally speaking
First time I played a Hummingbird, I almost couldn't put the guitar down.
That first tune was honorary AF
There's just something about vintage wood that has this warm tone about it that modern guitars just can't replicate.

In 1937, country singer and songwriter Ray Whitley had worked with Gibson on the production of the Gibson SJ-200 acoustic guitar, which was initially known as the "Super Jumbo". Whitley used his own time and money to design a guitar, which he took to Gibson. He explained the features and merits of the instrument, suggesting that by presenting them to other stars of the day, would result in really putting the Gibson name on the musical instrument map. Ray wrote the song Back in the Saddle.
I even like watching Lemmo tune the guitar. What a master!

You should do a 'day' where Lemmo is blind folded and has to guess what guitar is handed to him, let him play it and see if he know what brand and model it is.
It would change it up and be interesting to see how close he gets to what he is playing...just saying

just a beautiful guitar..
A thick pickguard kills the top vibrating. Two will double that.
Can tell it's a great sounding guitar without the pickguards. Take them off. Sound is more important than fancy looks.

Guitar Center Sucks I stopped doing business with them years ago because of rude employees and unreasonable prices, I know they need my business because they have gone bankrupt since they lost it
That top warmed up in an instant. Full bodied & throaty. 56 was a very good year.

Playing is great. Guitar not everyone’s taste I guess. Not because of that is a J200. Great guitars. But these shining double pick guards and random scratch marks … I don‘t know. Think I have seen also a few cracks on the sides. But, vintage sells ….
Stick with your shiny new guitar with no scratches that lives in the case in the closet.
@@mattrogers1946 Rude comment. My guitars hang at the wall and all get played. Spend about 2-4 hours on guitar per day.

@Rough Cut Guitars Some folks are oversensitive. All I was trying to say was that some are quick to dismiss vintage guitars, claiming that modern guitars match up to their vintage counterparts.
