Nice to hear these SJ's played perfectly IN-Tune and PROPERLY for this style of guitar, no heroics, just good clean acoustic sounds. This is what most players want to hear. My money's on the original, but both fantastic examples..
Thank you! Well, there´s a noticable difference between both guitars. Owning a 1989 J-200 myself, I must say the Reissue model definitely captures the character of a played-in, well-aged guitar.
They both sound equally great, but different. I prefer the dark pickguard and gloss finish on the original, plus it has the electronics. Also, given the lower price tag, I'd have to go with the original, but in antique natural finish. Thanks for the video.
Both great-looking and great-sounding guitars. Visually I slightly prefer the gloss finish and 'burst of the original but I preferred the sound and volume of the '57 re-issue. I would be very happy to own either of them. . .or better still, both! 😃
Fine test ^ both highly attractive guitars. Think the reissue is a bit more rounded'n'smooth, but would have to try them live before buying. Are the braces in the reissue torrified too. Not sure you mentioned that. Hi from Copenhagen ~ Keep the good spirit hovering
Thanks for your kind feedback. Yes, the top bracing is also torrefied. If you ever can make it to our shop, you´re very welcome to try those guitars. all the best from Aschaffenburg, Germany!
Haha, danke!
Ein bisschen Verhandlungsspielraum haben wir immer. Soviel dann aber leider auch nicht. Bei Interesse, melde dich gerne direkt bei Daniel daniel.ott@guitarplace.de

Can never warm to the sound of those artificially aged tops - thanks for a great demo and comparison.
I actually bought one recently. I wouldn't say it sounds older but different. I doubt I will buy another, but I ran into a deal.
@@johnwashburn3793 also had a few come and go. But maybe we just didn’t find the right one yet ✌️

I think the newest sounds better, more brightly, more intense...if I could, I'd buy it certanly. Good job man!!
i would go for the original and would play it til it sounds vintage ;)
Both sound good, but I agree that the custom shop was preferable to my ears. Thank you.
Thanks for your feedback! Glad you like my video. :)

Which do I prefer? Why, yes. Yes I do.

Do you know what SJ-200 VS means?
Super Jumbo - Vintage Sunburst

@@guitarplaceaschaffenburg465 Dann mal viel Erfolg beim internationalen Verkauf.
