Used to do little repairs like this all the time back with my friend, in the days when we'd drive around in his old crappy dodge van scouring the town for weird and interesting finds. Going home, cleaning em up and spending the night basking in the CRT glow of our accomplishments for the day. Lovely, lovely times.
Did you use sand paper to clean up the edge connector on the PCB?? That seems to have not only "cleaned" it, but also removed the HAL finish off the PCB (or any other finish that they might have used). This way you exposed the bare copper of the PCB, that would start oxidizing quite fast and completely destroy the connection. Don't do this, as this is a terrible thing to do! Only use isopropyl alcohol to clean any contamination on the connectors.
Ждал , когда засунул отвёртку в разъем , что произойдет взрыв как на канале- Еlectro Boom. Сыграл мелодию Марио потом приготовил порт в кастрюле. 😂 Отличная работа.
Have you ever tried putting flux on the connector pins on the games, hit it up with just a little bit of heat, hit it again with some flux, heat again, then wipe it clean? I’m a plumber and I know when I see dirty connections on copper pipe doing that will usually bring out the shine on it.
You should consider looking into the Blinking Light Win kit for the NES, it fixes the issue permanently by making it so you don't push down on cartridges to load them, makes the connection tighter than your mother, and also makes the NES region free.
Most of the time you only need to boil the connector for everything to be fixed. Do it in regular water with a few drops of dish soap for around 15 minutes.
My dads dad (my grandpa) fixxed my dads nes but he put it together backwards and it worked better. rip grandpa, never met you but i bet you would have been really cool.
Niw i have an idea, what if you take the things of the nes out, and put the ps5 hardware on it? (Im not an professional,so i don't know what hardware is,by hardware i mean the green plate and the disk reader and other things
Way overkill on cleaning the cartridge dude you do not need to disassemble it let's get qtip get it slightly wet with rubbing alcohol and wipe the pins
@@lancevee as far as i know, it's just normal water. Boiling the pins makes them spring back to original position which makes the pins grab tight onto the game. I suggest to clean your games really really good before doing that

You can do it the hard way if you want and correct each pin one by one. But this is the easiest way to fix a nes console. You very often doesn't need to do any of the other steps. It doesn't cause any damage since it's nothing electronic. But let it dry before assemble the console
@@FHC1944 awesome i honestly didn’t know that really helpful since i was trying to fix my console and came across this and didn’t know lol thanks for the insight 👍🏼
Mario tune was GENIUS!
Dannnngg! That Mario multimeter chime was so sick. You’re killing it
Bro really COOKED the connector 💀🔥🔥

The Mario edit was god tier!
Bad Dudes was one of my NES favs! I spent all my quarters at the arcade between that and RoboCop lol.
Love what you do so satisfying to see you restore classic consoles
That mario melody made me smile. So clever.
The perfect amount of cleaning!
i'm super happy that guys like you exist, keeping old consoles running forever.
Dang, i have the NES and the Bad Dudes too, and it still goes strong!
Yoooooooo, you should put the internal parts into the lego one and put a tv screen in the little lego tv from the nes lego set
Much respect to u man luv your Vids brings me way back😂
Loved the continuity tune

Clip that lock out chip (3rd leg) and fixes most of my NES repairs 😊
Bad dudes. One of my favorites
Whoa u just gonna move past the fact that you boiled it 😂
Must’ve been hungry
When you threw the thing into what looks like boiling water, my heart sank
Ждал , когда засунул отвёртку в разъем , что произойдет взрыв как на канале- Еlectro Boom.

Great classic video game tune
BROOOO MARIO ON THE MULTIMETER I LOVE THIS GUY ❤
The SuperMario tune was 🔥 😮
That was a joy to watch. 👍
ah great editing for the mario theme! also did u just boil the connector??
Yes. It's the easiest way to clean a connector. I do it all the time
Nice way to check 😂
I was feeling uneasy until the Deoxit came out 😀
I want to taste the forbidden tea
That connection thing is so simple but works, in this Era it would get probably get ribbon cable and sautted on.
Bad dudes. One of my favorites 💪
The Mario music 😂!
I personally use the blinking light win by arcadeworks, despite it not being produced anymore
That was my very first gaming console back in the 90's 😅

The Mario.tune was cool!
Awesome Steve
I remember when you didn't open games to clean them. Rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip was all we needed.
Love the tune

Do they still make these?
Whats the liquid you used in game cartridge man ?
it was probably alchohol
Isopropyl works great as well
This stuff is awesome!!!! Are you an electrical engineer?
You makin Nintendo soup? My favorite!
What kind of cleaning method was used for the pins? It looks pretty crazy for electronic cleaning.
Most of the time you only need to boil the connector for everything to be fixed. Do it in regular water with a few drops of dish soap for around 15 minutes.
Is there a full video of this with more explanation?
You are a genius
I wish there was a decent repair place near me that did what you did.
What's the liquid you used to clean the cartridge called
Isopropyl is the best.
Ninjas kidnapped the president forever!
MARIO TUNE WAS GENIUS Oml
I like my connector well done please
Great job
Excellent video
For those new here, if this guy can't fix it then the tech gods don't want the product fixed.
Nice tune
What's the liquid you use to clean the game pins?
What did you use to clean the game cartridge? The red paste stuff?
Isopropyl works great as well
We heard the Mario tune we all Mario tune that was great
Way better than DKOldies:)❤❤❤
What does the boiling do for the cleaning? Also nice Mario reference
It fixes the pins on the connector. Most of the time you only need to boil the connector for everything to work.
Nice job
Def could have given the old blow clean lol. Worked when I was 5
It's not good for the games and system. It can work as a quick fix, but in the long run you have more issue because of that.
What did you clean the cartridge with?
My dads dad (my grandpa) fixxed my dads nes but he put it together backwards and it worked better. rip grandpa, never met you but i bet you would have been really cool.
SIR! A game cannot work until you blow into the cartridge. I'm not mad. Just disappointed :D
what liquid do you use to clean the pins of the game?
I aspire to be like you one day u could rly fix anything
Back in the day man we used to just bang on it to get it working again. Pretty much always worked.
Lol I fixed one Gameboy game ( changed the battery) I'm all " eat yer heart out tronicsfix !" 😂
Out of curiosity, what is the liquid you used in cleaning the pins of the game cartridge. Asking for a friend 😅.
Isopropyl is best
Miss my NES specifically Legend of Zelda
mmm mmm, nintendo soup... like mama used to make ;)
🤣
What do you use to clean the pins and what do you use to buff it out
Isopropyl works great as well. You use that with q-tip
I have two i gotta do this to.
Ah yes, the legendary pin connector soup

Cut ribbon and scratch with sharp blade and scratch all plastic untill saw the golden pads and reuse
It cracks me up that people dont know that you can wash PC parts.
I have an NES that won’t work, is it possible for you to fix it ?
Ever heard of blinking light win?
How long should I let the row pins boil? Is it just water?
Just water, you can have a few drops of dish soap. 15 minutes works for me

ya it brings the pins back to original position

What liquid did you use to clean the cart?
Isopropyl works great
@FHC1944 Eh not the biggest fan of it. It always feels like Isopropyl leaves a film like substance on whatever I'm cleaning.
@@Poppilion Ok. I never feel that. It's the most recommended thing to use and it works great for me
@@FHC1944 It works, but I'm tired of having to wipe down whatever I was cleaning once it dries.
@@Poppilion Never noticed that. Will have to see for myself
First thing I’d try is break the lockout chip, that thing is useless to you as a consumer
Did you just make a connector soup?
bruh he boiled it
Napoleon:You Need The Eliminater
Boiled the pin in water and used deoxit to clean the game.
Dk oldies' worst enemy
Love that game, I'm bad
"I'M BAD!"
