This is the best Cricut tutorial I've seen. I even went to a class to learn and came home more confused than when I went. Thank you so much for your videos! You are an excellent teacher and I appreciate all the effort you put into your videos for us beginnners!

I agree with the other comments here. You definitely did an excellent job breaking everything down in design space. I also appreciate you going at a slower pace which also made things easier to absorb.
Hi, I am new to my Cricut Maker and would like to use it for bag making, cutting out the pattern and cutting materials. Do you have any tutorial on this, one thing I am struggling with is how to remove the 1” square, so it gets cut out every time. Also arranging pattern pieces on the Design space. One other thing is how do i get the cricut to draw the zipper area rather than cutting it out😮. Thank Yoy
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I don't have a machine, but my local library has one for people to use, so I can design it at home and make it there. I'm glad I didn't stop watching at 13:00 , even though the use of "edible" instead of "EDITable " was driving me nuts!
WOW! This was terrific!!!. I've been going over videos for three days looking for an all-inclusive Design Space tutorial - - - - and you covered the whole thing!!! Thank you so much. I'll be referring back to this and watching your other videos as well. ♥♥♥
This is by far the most informative, easy-to-understand tutorial I have found! My brand new Cricut machine has been collecting dust for a year because I had no idea how to use it or the design space. After this video, I am excited to see what I can do with my Cricut! Thanks so much!
Thank you for this!! My maker 3 just came today I am excited to begin but very nervous as well. This video was very very informative thank you soooooo much!
I am joining the beginners club - loved this video a lot. @Little Craft Nest do you have a suggested list of your video's that would be good to watch in sequence? Ultimately, I want to use my cricut for crepe paper flower making - any suggestions will be most welcome, many thanks
Welcome to the Cricut world. I personally have not made crepe flowers but that defiantly sounds like fun. I do not have a list of videos to watch in sequence but that is definitely a great idea - something I'll have to work on. I do have a number of play list that are categorized based on topic. All the best on your crafting adventure.
great!!.. thanks for sharing all that information.. you do explain steps very well. I have only very lightly used the app before but seeing this video has given me more scope to play with. Cheers
wow this beginner tutorial was great . am now learning to use the cricut machine and i learn a lot from you and i now subscribe because you explain everything so simple that i could understand thank you , and can you send a tutorial on how to print and cut? that area might be a challenge for me thanks again.
Oh my, you are an excellent teacher. I had watched a few tutorials and yours was by far the easiest to follow. I'm feeling more confident using the Design Space platform.
thank you so much for this video, i just bought my first cricut, i used to be a silhouette user, and this video help me out so much! I would love to see a video of how to make my own cut settings, this because i live in mexico and its really hard and expensive to get cricut materials, so i would love to know how to cut third party materials. Do you have a video on using purchased svg files, merging 2 onto your design space and how can I get cricket to open svgs that were saved from another program like Silhouette, saved as a svg file not a Silhouette file extension. Thanks! Love your teaching!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I have not use silhouette so I’m not sure what formats your image saves in but if you want upload it to DS you may need to change the format first. Here is an older video on how to upload images to design space. Hopefully you’ll find it helpful ua-cam.com/video/yWwxGHVfAx0/v-deo.htmlsi=I-QQdhAz0kplgFea
@@littlecraftnest silhouette has their own file extension and the option to save as svg or png….i save as svg. When I open in DS it’s distorted. I’m having trouble using my new Maker ( which I bought thinking it would be easier to send directly to the cutter) but I’m not having much luck using my own purchased files. I do a lot of shirts and I can’t get my files into DS. It’s easy if you use their images but I need to use ones I have. 🤷🏼♀️
@otterfan5518 I have not problem uploading outside images. If they are distorted when they are uploaded you may need to contact the designer of the file.
If you’re doing print then cut you can make your fronts any colour. If you are wanting your Cricut to draw out your letters with pens - it will draw the outside only. Loved your video going back through and watching them all. No one can answer my question??? I am a cricut acess member i am using on of there files. Added to my canvas edit it to my liking very simple. Whie lettering instead of 3 layers. Go to make it nothing shows up. I did change my mat color so i can see the white lettering. What have I done that my project does not come over. I am using print &cut instead of basic cute. Please help.
Are you trying to print your design out with your printer? If you have white lettering you will not be able to print it as most printers do not have white ink. If you just want it cut it, it needs to be set to basic cut. I hope that helps - it’s hard to provide instruction when you can’t see someone’s screen. I hope you can figure it out.

Hello. I've used cricut for years. Right now I have a cricut maker 3. I am trying to make price tags where I make the design and upload it to design space. No mater what I do I can't get it to cut what I printed. I'm sure it's something simple but I've missed it. Where can I go to get help?
Hi I have all sort of Cricut joy pens but when I go use them, most smear off on the vynil I have. Does the vynil have to state “writable” ? I’m suspecting the answer is yes. Why are there so many pens if one can only use them on black or white vynil?
Yes it needs to be writable material. Most people use pens on cardstock. Here is a fun pen project using cardstock ua-cam.com/video/r08Sd7LVRqg/v-deo.htmlsi=pL5tQWrnLzQ1_6n0
Please help. Every time I make a card using cricut access when I go to cut the card out. It always cut the whole of front of the card out just leaving me either the back of the card.
I noticed this video was made about 3 months ago. I am just now learning how to use design space and my toolbar is now on the bottom instead of the left side and there's not as many options. Is this a new update maybe?
I have a question. I bought a care card png from Etsy to be able to print & cut. But when I bring it into CIRCUT it wants to remove the background and then it’s all missed up. How do I get pass this? Thanks
If the file does not have a background there is no need to remove it. If you’re having upload issues with the file I would suggest to contact the creator of the file.
What type of laptop do you have? If it’s a Chromebook it will not be compatible. If you’re using a PC or a Mac try restarting your computer and trying again. If you’re still not having any luck call Cricut support and they will walk you through it.
