Abbie, I'll be 54 on 12/12 and my heart and soul are fed by the same things as yours apparently is. Had I to do it all over, I would conduct my life very much as you are. Bravo young lady! It's individuals like yourself who deeply feel the magic of this amazing planet that give me hope that it can be saved. I have just discovered your channel and I applaud your efforts toward ending pollution and global warming. I hope that your travels take you to the Hebrides and the Highlands of Scotland! I'll be watching regardless! Thank you!
The Ladybower walk is wonderful. Every visit we made as a family my dad wanted to walk to Tips memorial and the site of the Dambusters film and training. The Dams are one of my favourite areas to visit in The Peaks . The trees are stunning and stir my soul.
Did much of this walk today and inevitably end up searching for videos afterwards. "mind blowing views in every direction". Yep - think that covers it !
This was so beautiful, thank you Abbie, for taking us along! The whole video was a journey of mindfulness, calmness, gratefulness and beauty. A stark contrast to my daily life right now, and a strong reminder for me of what is really important in life and that it is worth taking the time to experience a day like this. Thank you again for sharing. :)
You now have a friend called Garry, funny you should say that on one of my favourite walks too ! I must say how much I am enjoying catching up on your back catalogue of films and its given me my outdoors mojo back after a few difficult years, they are such a pleasure to watch . Fabulous work please keep it up.
Yet another great informative entertaining video, your video's never fail to lift my spirits when I'm feeling low due to bad weather and not being able to get out myself. Thank you and keep up the great work. X ATB jim
fell in love with the peak district last summer driving through it with my wife. Want to do a hike there next summer. great video Abbie, thanks a lot for this!
Nice movie Abbie. I had a very wet and windy wild camp under Back Tor last week. Lovely part of the Peaks captured in all its glory. You certainly saw it in better weather than I.
I have done that rout loads of times as I live just over the hill to the East :-) I was north of there in the high Derwent valley last weekend and loved every second of it. Nature brings health immediately its just great - thanks and good luck
Do you have any plans to return to the Peak District in the near future? If you get the chance, you should check out a particular route from Old Glossop via a Roman road ('Doctor's Gate') to the WWII Over Exposed crash site at Bleaklow where you can still see the remains of the aircraft. Pretty cool stuff! The views around there aren't half bad either! ☺
Hi Abbie been watching your walks in the Peak District again today I love this area I enjoy all your films you inspire me to get me boots on are you doing the Cleveland way ? I’ve walked this but in day walks over a few years keep them coming Glenn
Hi Glenn, thanks so much for watching my videos. Yes the Cleveland Way was on my list for this year but unfortunately due to some unforeseen events I wasn't able to go out. However, next year is on the horizon! Congrats on your completion of the walk!
If you ever get the chance I would heartily recommend the other side of the valley as well. Starting at Fairholmes, along to Ditch Clough and up to Alport Castles. Seeing your love of a landscape, I think Alport Castles would blow your mind =) The remaing walk to Crook Hill on the return is also superb. Thanks for the videos. I've really enjoyed them so far.
Have you read the book The Silent Valley. It’s brilliant with many photos of the lost villages and I have seen the outline of the streets when the water is low. The church spire was blown up in 1966.
Hi Abbie I've recently started watching your videos they are great. I just wondered for this walk do you have the post code for where you parked please so I can do this walk. Were there any parking charges to pay to park there ? Thank you
Coming from the Peak District they take some beating. I live on Portland now and spend most of my time in one or the other. You should check out Dean Read on youtube. His Peak District walks and wild camps are very informative.

Hi Abbie great video as always.....I’m Gary by the way 😁
What a great walk. Maybe I should do it how far and how long was it did you say 11miles
I would recommend cycling around all 3 reservoirs think it took about 6 hours but I'm camera happy and had to stop every 5 min.
I forgot to say great video.
