Your “One Size Fits All… No.” made me crack up. I am absolutely in the same boat. I’m plus size, and it boggles my mind at how many patterns stop at small bust or waist sizes. Or those that use ease to say they use plus sizes, but the small size has like 10+ inches of ease, and the largest has like -2. Love your knit era!
omg i'm so glad i found you through this video! obsessed w ur vibe :,) i already saved some of these patterns to my rav and i can't wait for more videos!!
I found you through this video and I LOVED IT IMMEDIATELY 🥹 The vibe, the setting, your recommendations, YOU. 2min in and I hit that subsribe button😂❤️
If you know the Ranunculus (you know, the super famous one) by Midori Hirose, there is a sweater by the same designer called the Twinkle Sweater, which has a very easy colorwork and I feel you would enjoy that too. I am currently knitting that sweater and I am loving it. She has 2XS all the way to 6XL. Though just as a warning of sorts, i think the designer knits very loosely, i had to knit from the medium sizes to achieve a size S, but i also knit VERY tightly, like sometimes my stitches don’t move on the needle anymore lol
Tip for all the girlies out there who are on the larger side of the size scale. Try a puff sleave! I just finished a puff sleaved tee, and I love how it balance out my proportions. It add a little width on the shoulders making my bust not look like the widest part of my body. I don't like dropped sleaves, it looks great if you have marked shoulders, but if you don't it just makes your shoulders look rounder and removes your figur. Circular yokes and baloon sleaves can do the same. But the later is just a long puff sleave so if you like the pattern, just knit the sleaves shorter and make it a tee.
I made the Kleo sweater last winter in chocolate brown and really loved it! It is a basic oversized drop shoulder sweater, but I love the size inclusivity and the overall design, definitely would recommend, I wear mine all the time 🥰
Re Pippi pullover - you can use KFO/Pernille Larsen's 'Lindgren Sweater' pattern and just use the right colours to achieve the same outcome :) and Lindgren is a lot more size inclusive!
I just discovered your channel and I love your energy! Definitely gonna be sticking around. Also, totally agree with what you said about certain patterns. There are definitely some patterns from very popular designers which are fairly simple in construction - I don't mind charging, but you can usually find something similar for free, and to charge £9 for a very basic raglan with short rows gets me a lil bit
I absolutely LOVED knitting the Nordic mix sweater! It was so much fun🥰 I just hated the steeking, so if I would do it again I would try knitting the top back and forth with holes for the arms instead or getting someone else to steek it for me😅
I'm guessing that you are knitting the bat socks from Stone Knits, I'm obsessed with her, I have her first colorwork sock book and I am steadily making my way through those patterns.
2:48 in my city it snows in the end of october-\beginning of november. like november is like 0 C sometimes even colder...like this year october was warm(+10С but now it's like +1 -1+4 0C)
Just found your account, absolutely love it! As someone who is currently also obsessed with colorwork, I need to recommend the herringbone mittens by Ainur Berkimbayeva! It's a free pattern by a designer whose other patterns are usually more (deservedly!) pricey, and are such a treat to knit 😊
girl i wish u had more videos because i get into these phases where i'm fixated on a youtuber and become unable to watch anyone else so i've already watched all of your uploads multiple times while i work on my own projects 🥲 btw your adoration for colourwork has inspired me to make more colourwork projects!!
Okay I think I need to learn to knit. I loved the cat patterns. Even though I live in South Florida I want the Dancing Cat Sweater. Or do y'all call it a Jumper?
I knit the halibut sweater back in December and I’ve worn it 1-3 times a week up until summer. It’s my favorite thing I own. The pattern is wonderful as well, make it!!!it was also my first color work sweater so don’t be intimidated! It’s easier than it looks.
Are you knitting the bat socks from Stone Knits? I really want to make those! I also love colourwork, it’s my favourite type of design to look at though I’m so slow at knitting it. I also love Teti’s patterns, I’m making one right now. That’s her in the photos and she has a youtube channel as well. You’re so right about size inclusivity, since I started grading my own designs, I realised how ridiculous it is to not make a pattern size inclusive. It’s not even much more work/maths! And if you’re putting in the work to write it down and organise it, might as well make the pattern as good as possible and include more sizes, right?
i am!! i’m loving them so far🤩 ooo i didn’t know she had a youtube channel i’ll have to look her up! yeah it’s really ridiculous imo especially if you are charging too!!
Thank you! I’ve added more to my favorites now😂🫣💕 for other designers… I would check out Veronika Lindberg! I’ve made many of her patterns and have more in the queue! I feel like everyone is obsessed with the stripe hype and I really want the salty days and stitches sweaters!
when you talk about each pattern can you have the name somewhere on the screen along with the picture? it makes it a little easier for finding the link in the description
i mostly taught myself! defo use youtube to your full advantage and would recommend using chunky yarn with big needles!! it’s difficult at the start as it’s so different from crochet but practice makes perfect and it will all start to click!!🫶🏼
Something I've found to be a problem is designers will have 7 to 10 sizes in their sweaters but that biggest size doesn't go up very far in terms of inches or cm. I think size inclusive sweaters are considered to fit a 60 or 62 inch bust. From past experince designers like Irene Lin don't go up that high. Her sizes end somewhere in the 50 inch range. Booooo to size exclusion.
I love your energy! Just a warning about Emilie Luis (since you shared the gloves) be careful with any garment patterns from her, she does a terrible job at grading the larger sizes on a lot of them and she seems to have no interest in correcting it. I've been burned before and I know a lot of other people who have been too. Some of them might be fine, the ravelry project pages could probably tell you.
I recently knit the korshava sweater and I would not reccomend the pattern. It´s not written very clearly and the pattern reapeats don´t really match up when inc. and dec.

I've recently done my first i-cord bind off. Found it far less complicated than I had expected. Would absolutely do it again.
Thank you very much. I like Florence too
Praise be to the algorithm for taking me here bc I’m already obsessed x

Where can i find that beautiful wallpaper on the pc??

Instant 👍
How did you start knitting? I’ve been crocheting for a while and I really want to get into knitting but I’m not sure where to start

i agree! also sometimes the bigger sizes haven’t been tested and/or aren’t made with bigger people in mind so the sizing is all over the place👎🏼

omg thank you for letting me know!! such a shame☹️
