Portland Tranny employee here, we appreciate the shout-out! We are just a parts supplier, curious who the shop that did your work was? We might have to make a new run of those hats, funny enough we weren't going to do more camo... guess we will now!
@josephroach9793 Well that depends, a bunch of them are not (the ones that are tend to be really flimsy like the recover tactical) and they all have folding stocks which makes it much wider and awkwardly shaped. Have you ever tried storing anything with a folding stock? Clearly not. The smaller place you try to put it in the more cumbersome it gets. These are the types of guns I like carrying and have focused on the most. I have had a few of the pistol conversion types and then a few PCC PDWs all as small and light as possible and I have tried many many more at the range. If you want as small, full featured and light as possible the raider is about the best that you are going to do for most people right now. If you are willing to compromise on weight then you have some options like the b&t tp9. However, once you start getting up to 5-6 lbs and the guns in the 15"+ over all length then I'd just rather jump up to a SBR or a RCP (rifle caliber pistol).
The quality of your intros (to speak only of that) is absolutely incredible. The slowmo, the music, the staging Even Charles looks dramatic, that’s saying something!
But i just cant shake the feeling that… the mp9 fills that same exact role just better… i own a tp9 and with a stock and grip THAT I DO NOT HAVE ON THE FIREARM IN MINECRAFT… the tp9 is a excellent tiny little package just more comfortable… or the mp7… or the mp5k. HOWEVER I think this chassis is A EXCELLENT OPTION FOR CIVILIANS i just want to bring attention that it does have competition
Air Force now has a cut down M4 that splits in half at the barrel nut. Fits in the survival kit with 4 mags. Definitely a step up from an M9 lol Meanwhile, because they have bullpups, British Apache crews roll with 5.56 L22 carbines.
I carry in a small sling bag, the hardest part is explaining to fudds and meal team six why off the body carry is very much viable lol Glock 19 with a recover tactical frame, basically a flux raider “at home” version. Glad to see Dr Flannel has the same prescription. 🎩👌🏼

Sweet review. I bought a bare bones P320 years ago to familiarize myself with the platform around the time of the military adoption. Although I did love so much about the weapon, I never tricked it out because I moved on with other weapon builds. Everyone that I've handed the weapon over to during practice loves the way it feels, I just never put any money into it besides a custom grip and some high-cap mags. But behold! My stepchild p320 is lookin' spicy again and we may need to catch up over a few rounds and learn some new tricks.

I have a Flux Raider SBR and a MPX SBR. I also have pretty extensive experience with a MP5 and a B&T MP9. After shooting these in competition, on the range, and in sim scenarios a few things became apparent. The Flux and the MP9 are very maneuverable but a bit harder to shoot when compared to the other 2. The MPX is by far the easiest to shoot well. The MP5 is a close second, but the manual of arms is ridiculous. I have a pretty difficult Rifle assessment that I’ve shot all these in, and the MPX shines when shooting timed/scored drills. The Flux and the MP9 are much more practical. The size and weight are much smaller than the larger SMGs, but the performance far exceeds a pistol. The MPX/MP5 sized guns are basically the same size as a MK18 in 5.56. The size of these small SBRs allow them to be used in situations where rifles are impractical, and you would otherwise only have a pistol. I can make pretty fast hits in the A zone out to 50, and I can make hits on a man-sized target out to around 150 if I can go prone. If you are planning on using one of these in confined spaces or out of a vehicle, I suggest considering the Flux.
I have an old p320 subcompact that I haven't touched in a long time except for cleaning, oil, etc Can I just drop the fire control in this and use the same slide? Or can I or should I buy a longer slide for this setup? Sorry. I haven't been much of a gun guy in a few years.
I have always been a big fan of the backpack gun, it definitely is not always the easiest to carry something on your waist, especially when hiking, or going to a park like you said.
I have the B&T USW G. I got it as a plinking toy and it has definitely turned into one of my favorite systems I have. I would recommend the A3 stock to replace the Spatula stock.

I 3d printed the fns crusader pdw to go with my fns 40l, I absolutely love it. The stability and ability to still conceal is miles ahead of other PCCs imo.
Some other cool features not mentioned in the video: iron sight are still usable in case optic fails and there is a small battery compartment in the brace for a 2032 sized battery
I've been running this setup for a while as a backpack gun (I have a strike industry chassis). It hasn't replaced my appendix carry. But it's so easy to throw it in a small Vertx sling back and go. Think about the distances your find in grocery and big box stores. You will quickly find distances you wouldn't try with a pistol. This setup is genuinely a force multiplier. I really have no excuse to not have a shoulder-able weapon now. I also think this makes a great home defense weapon, especially for weaker shooters.

I recently built an awesome 9mm pcc AR platform that is becoming my new favorite gun to shoot simply because of how easy it is to shoot and how damn accurate I’m able to shoot it. I bought a complete 9mm 10.5 inch upper from Faxon firearms and then I put together a aero precision glock mag lower with a sb tactical pdw brace along with a holosun He501ct solar red dot on a mount from scalarworks, swapped out the faxon bolt carrier group for a nickel boron fail zero bcg, and the timney 2 stage trigger. She’s an awesome little pcc for sure and didn’t cost a ton of money to build. I’ve recently installed a lot of those upgrade parts but when I first built it and it had the stock bcg and trigger and if you minus the optic and mount this gun can be had for right around 1000 to 1200 bucks depending on if you get a cheaper brace than the Sb pdw brace for a sba3 or kak brace you can save a few hundred bucks or you can get a complete upper from psa for cheaper if you want and still have a sick little pcc ar9 for much less than most complete guns on the market right now with better parts of your likening
I shot a friend’s Flux Raider and immediately added it to my list of wants. It was really intuitive, meaning I could easily figure out the manual of arms. Easily hit steel at 120 yards. Lots of fun!

The flux defense "Raider" variant used to be for the large form factor glock 20 in 10mm or the 45ACP glock. I was on the email list waiting for them to be in stock for around 3 years. I think last month is when i got the email "Raiders are back in stock" only for them to be completely incompatible with Glock. And they have no ETA on when they will be making the glock braces. Needless to say I feel schmeckeldorphed.
We lost our MFG for the Glock versions in the middle of a production run, sorry dude. We did have a good discussion this week on revitalizing it, we shall see.
I used a KelTec Sub2000 as a travel weapon. It gives me more than a pistol in a bag that normally can only have a pistol. If this thing was availably when I got the sub2000, I might had picked this over the Sub2000. It is even more compact, and deploys even faster, and it costs...more but not by a ton. It is lighter as well, which is saying something. Also it looks cooler, ha.
@@KonaLife I used to have a Gen 1. Fired about 1000 rounds though it before giving it away to someone. Center pin/bolt worked loss and had to be retightened. No malfunctions. Would had fired more but I got even more poor and can not afford to blow a lot of ammo these days, ha.
Idk man….. idk if I’d call it more than a pistol….. (but I’m an exceptionally good shot with a good pistol) I’d take a 5.5” Walther Q5 match with a red dot and weapon light over a sub 2000. I was intrigued by the sub2000 until I shot one and realized just like all of keltec they had a cool idea that just suffered during production/execution. And this was keltecs best idea IMHO I really wanted it to be good because the idea is sound.
@@zackzittel7683 Mine seems rather well build, BUT I do agree with you that the ideas at KelTec outperform their manufacturing capability. I would defiantly prefer the Sub2000 over a pistol. It is a rifle after all. A lot more points of contact. That Q5 is very nice though. Trigger seemed a bit strange to me at first but once I had a magazine though it, I understood. IT is one of the more accurate pistols I have shot, not including some special competition set-ups.
The absolute best platform for size is a M11-9 (MAC in 9mm) with a silencer. It is by far the most compact platform out there and can be made at home. You can also swap the barrel for a homemade 22TCM and now you have "MP7 at home". Except it is more powerful and smaller than an MP7. 3D printing has made it now where you can make a M11 without having to know how to weld or bend sheet metal. MPA also now sells uppers too so you don't even need to know how to use a lathe anymore.
@@KSHOW13 I use an omega 9 k exclusively on mine. The barrel threading ends outside of the slide. So the piston reaches the ends of the threads and there is about a 4mm distance from the guide rod to the suppressor when locked back. I’ve ran 3 USPSA type action pistol matches with mine as a PCC suppressed in that configuration a few months ago and it was fine for all 350-ish rounds.
You definitely do not take the slide stop out to take out the FCG (fire control group). It's the takedown pin. You rotate it and pull it out. The slide stop is clearly visibly ambidextrous and looks similar to basically every semi-auto handgun. Just wanted to keep you honest. Very good review. Great content. "Ammo is..." I looked into buying this for my p320 but they didn’t have any in stock at the time. I went with the FCU X01 chassis and very happy with it. Have not run it hard but it’s an awesome chassis! I put a forward blast device which made a world of difference. I’ve built it to have 52 rounds at my disposal but with two more 21’s I can go to 64 on chassis. The X01 is a heavy unit so makes a great bagger.

Excited to do our review now that I've seen yours! (also PLeasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease on collab video)

Ben (owner of Flux) is a super cool guy. The Raider is an impressive platform. A few of our guys have them and have been running them through the ringer for a year now. Great review as always GT! Our's will be coming soon.

That's the most dogshit business name I've ever heard.
I really like the idea of having a compact system that can be stowed in the vehicle or a backpack/pack. Also, it's a completely badass looking system.
Does it look badass?@josephroach9793
The slowmo, the music, the staging
Even Charles looks dramatic, that’s saying something!
It would be good for pilots and tank crews because of it ammo capacity and compact size
A dedicated PCC would still be much better.
Air Force now has a cut down M4 that splits in half at the barrel nut. Fits in the survival kit with 4 mags. Definitely a step up from an M9 lol

"The question is what is a Flux Raider? A little bit confusing. So it's actually pretty simple.." what a whirlwind of emotions

Thanks to Brass Facts, I'm finally ahead of GT and actually already own a Flux Raider, love this little thing.
The cinematic intro keeps getting better and better. Super cool.
I have an old p320 subcompact that I haven't touched in a long time except for cleaning, oil, etc
Can I just drop the fire control in this and use the same slide? Or can I or should I buy a longer slide for this setup?
Sorry. I haven't been much of a gun guy in a few years.
@@Dugout97 The FCU is probably the same, but the subcompact slide will not work on the Flux. You will need a compact or longer slide.
Its also cool to see how far Charlie and Micah have come in regards to firearms training since the start. Very cool.

I can confirm when first suppressing a full size 320, it took a bit of wearing in but down the road worked. I was using a SICO 1/2x28 barrel
Yeah 320s are really picky about suppressors.
I have the same barrel. I bought some lighter recoil springs just in case to tune to HST rounds. Don't mind it being finnicky with plinking ammo, but it must absolutely work well with duty ammo

Upgrade to the Raider when you can. The SMC is a known-bad copy and falls apart quick.
This intro, the hcar, the Huey, and the short nvg video are just 👌🏻
Garandramranch got me 0% off my emotional damage of being able to afford the optics I want. Thanks!!!
Great Video! I use a G19 in MCK as my PCC, would have been interesting to see the flux raider vs MCK or other conversion kits (that accept glocks)
I don't think the Flux stand a chance against our mck. Mck doesn't require proprietary frame. And if necessary you can still remove the gun
@@F3d3xdad What are you talking about? The micro roni requires glock frames, this requires the p320. The roni is another option but it misses on most of the features that people would want.
@@thomgizziz the mck is available for several brands of pistols. It fits if a small bag so idk what bulk you speak of. What options is it missing? That the Flux has
Would have been cool to compare the Flux to early 1900s stocked pistols and/or relate it to the concept of things like the Artillery Luger. I wish you'd touched how the concept has been around for a long time, but the NFA has made it difficult to own stocked pistols.
Very entertaining, once again. Thanks for great content.
Why not a vid on Recover Tactical brace? They got one for almost every common handgun design now, not just glocks. Very efficient and effective pieces of polymer.
Micah should know who they are 😂
I recently built an awesome 9mm pcc AR platform that is becoming my new favorite gun to shoot simply because of how easy it is to shoot and how damn accurate I’m able to shoot it.

I was wondering if Garand would ever cover this accessory. I have an M18, but I am hesistant on getting the chassis for it. I have an FX9 Ordnance for my PCC. Appreciate the S-Tier content on this channel brother!

@@thunderofgr What is your experience with it? Most of the time, the thing is sold out. There is another version of it (can't recall the name), but I've been tempted to get one. Is it really that good and/or versatile?
They changed suppliers and now are regularly in stock. I’m sure with this video exploding, they’ll be out for a month or so. It’s absolutely worth every penny. Brass Facts has a far more in depth video covering how it redefines and recreates the name of PDW. Far more than a worthless PCC, it’s a true pistol-sized weapon that pops into a rifle-style firearm when you need to go to work with it. I have an entire concealed laptop bag that it lives in with medical kits and (soon) a level 4 plate to act as an active shooter response kit. In short, it’s a game changer. @@marcusfenix9534
@@richwalter3107 we may, I have looked at it, and I think it’s one of the best pistols. A good chance, but I’m not sure.
Also, more reliable. I wouldn’t trust my life to a keltec.

I absolutely love my Flux raider. I run the 3.9" slide with the threaded barrel meant for the 3.6" slide and it fits perfectly.
Why run the 3.6" threaded barrel? To ensure you can never use a suppressor?
@@KSHOW13 I use an omega 9 k exclusively on mine. The barrel threading ends outside of the slide. So the piston reaches the ends of the threads and there is about a 4mm distance from the guide rod to the suppressor when locked back.
