@@richardbulva Ive heard that its a bad habit because it can cause more wear to the stick and transmission, not to mention you should have both hands on the steering wheel (9 and 3) and just intuitively be ready to use your other hand when shifting.
@@CaesarNeptuneStudios Well yeah but.. 1) he's not pushing on the gear stick, he's just barely resting his hand on it - that's as if there was a layer of dust on the stick 2) both hands on the steering wheel - true but most people don't do that anyway (I am not defending them though) 3) intuitively be ready to use your other hand when shifting - well, he is since his hand is on the stick
I'm learning how to drive currently and in Germany it is pretty tough. To get my license for manual and automatic I have to drive at least 10 hours manual with my instructor and then I have to pass a test just so I can complete the manual lessons then I need to do 5 hours night-driving and another 10 on the highway and another like 5 hours overland-drives. It is really tough and I'm kinda struggling with the manual. And as you may know, you can only drive with an official instructor where every hour driving costs like 60 bucks. And after I complete all of that there will be the final test where I am being watched by 2 seperate instructors for a hour or so to get my drivers license and then I can only drive with my parents until I'm 18 and if I slip up and violate the driving law in the first 2 years of having a license they just take it away again.
Nice video although it would be even better if you had a camera showing your leg movement etc.
