I love the material you could dress it up with some bling necklace and earrings or just plain and a nice black or white pencil skirt. You make it look so easy. 👍🏼
Karina, you never disappoint. The cloned blouse looks so easy when you do it - I have to contemplate how to so the simplest things myself... your reveal of the cloned top over black trousers and the RED Shoes - makes you look sassy - glad to see you thriving in Brazil. Thank you for all the sharing!
Exactly what I was searching for! And your tutorial is quick, easy to understand, and beautiful outcome. Thank you! I’m off to make it now. Hopefully it looks as fab as yours does!
Great video for those wanting to learn how to clone their RTW! I love cloning! And will do it whenever I have a piece of RTW I really like! Thanks for sharing your process, we have similar processes.
Genius Karina! I have actually given up on ready-made because of all the synthetic fabric but maybe I will look at thrifting something to copy. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It's so generous of you.
Thank you very much for this demo. I will certainly try to clone one of my tops whenever I can sew again. Tops do not require lots of fabric so I could splurge using silk... 🤓 However, I broke my arm 2 weeks ago and all my sewing projects have been on hold..... So frustrating.
This was a particularly helpful video. You went into good detail about how to trace the neckline. Thank you. I think it fits you beautifully. You did such a nice job. Could you do a more detailed look one day about how to finish the openings with bias trim, like what weight and fabric of bias trim and then how you put it on. Thanks!!
Karina, I love this!!! I'm not quite at the stage of cloning, my brain can't quite comprehend the process 🤣. I'm curious how you would make this top using your slopper, that will be cool to see.
You're amazing Karina! I loved watching your process - you make it all look so easy but I'm skeptical it's as easy as all that :) BUT you've given me some great ideas!! I have tank top patterns that I could easily do an FBA, adding a side dart that I could swing into the neckline and make into pleats that would fit me great. I think I would find that less daring than trying to clone from a rtw top.
Hi Karina, great clone and just the sort of top that I like💞. I have had a go at cloning one of my tanks and it came out great but I love the idea of the pleated neckline so may have a go at that👍. Enjoy your sewing Karina 😁😘
Sally Dingle I’m in a tad bit of a sewing crisis. Inspiration “block”. I know I have plans but I’m struggling to make them real. I’ll snap out of it soon, I hope! Thanks for watching.
Great video, Karina! Your cloned top is beautiful. I'm always fascinated when watching your drafting/cloning processes. I'm also looking forward to the Lottie top video because I have a RTW top with a folded detail on a wide neckband and a pattern with a similar plain wide neckband that I think I could use both videos to help me create a clone of the RTW. Thanks for the inspiration-#karinamademecloneit
Hi Karina! Thank you for showing the cloning lesson. I have always wanted to try this method. My question is around the armhole and neck edge how did you turn it over. Did you use seam binding? Thanks again!
With cloning, it’s actually that. You need to be happy with the fit of the piece you want to clone and specially with a cowl, it’s not something you can eyeball different to fit higher or lower.

Nice top! Thanks for the idea to pin the seams so they are stiff and easier to trace.
Sage Preaumx it turns out very exact 👍🏼. I’ve had great results even with blazers.

808Patricia thank you for watching! I hope you give cloning a go! It’s not hard once you get the hang of it and the results are great.
Love the top and the black pants. it's beautiful and the fit is on point.
Alethia Lovetosew the black pants are RTW jeans! The only pair I own. I’ve never been up for making jeans yet....
Exactly what I was searching for! And your tutorial is quick, easy to understand, and beautiful outcome. Thank you! I’m off to make it now. Hopefully it looks as fab as yours does!
Nice top. Will make mine soon it's very hot here now and I can use tops like this. Have fun sewing, later.
Great job on cloning thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the instruction on how to clone your ready-to-wear. But I think I like the cloned top better than the original. Great job.
A Cisse the cloned one has nicer fabric! The joys of sewing 😊.... finder nicer fabric than in the shops

Myra Lorraine common sense and simple maths is all that’s needed for sewing 👍🏼. Cloning is very satisfying 😊
Hi Karina, what an expert thank you for sharing with us.
thank's Karina for this video i think the one you made was better than the bought one, you are so clever.
Rona Mccluskie the fabric is nicer hey?
Cute Top Karina! It will be a awesome wardrobe staple!
Thank you thank you, you made cloning look easy, I am definitely going to give this a go.
Love your explanation of the process. Happy sewing to you too 😀
Genius Karina, I like it. You are very inspiring!

christine whitehair I have cloned from thrifted by tearing the garment apart....
Great video, so informative. I wish I had more sewing friends to share you with, you are such a weath of knowledge.
Another beautiful option Karina, thanks for sharing.

Johanne Vinet oh nooooo fractures are the worst! All the best for fast healing!
I love this cloning!
Cloning is too fun and I need to do it more often 😊

Rebecca Paul 👌🏻 I will. I always figure out it’s the most boring part 😂

NaturalDane I’ll show how to do this from a simple tank top 👍🏼

Maria Eugenia Femat Lozano muchas gracias por apreciar lo que hago. Esto es una terapia para mi.

Kathleen Meadows that is exactly what I’m going to to with the Lottie dress/top. Swing the bust dart to the neckline for the skeptics 😂.
Super cute! Love the fabric too 😍 I have one I need to clone and size down. One of these days lol.

Purple Bobbins bias binding like most of my tops. I fold them to the inside so they are not visible on the outside :)
Thank you!
What kind of fabric did you use?
Poly crepe
Just watched this video I found a top I would like to clone. However, it has a low modest cowl. Any suggestions for cloning a front cowl?
With cloning, it’s actually that. You need to be happy with the fit of the piece you want to clone and specially with a cowl, it’s not something you can eyeball different to fit higher or lower.
