absolutely amazing! made me notice so much nuance i did not pick up on over the 10,000 times ive listened to this. your own small additions were super tasteful and you just did an overall great job. excellent work!!
Bill was a pioneer on the drums. Never give up Robert keep adding more and more different rhythm of your own. also Yes was the first concert I seen Roosevelt Stadium NJ in the 1977. I just love music and DRUMMING. Thanks that Great for a young kid to learn, other then Rap.
Vraiment sensationnel ! Quel performance que de jouer cette sublime pièce . Tu es d une précision fantastique et tu réussi à faire vivre cette chanson de façon unique .Bravo!
Finally, a drummer on YT that plays the fucking music not just being all showoff with stick twirls and whatnot, then making mistakes. Ladies and gentlemen, a nice example of a proper drummer.
Any drummer who ear him for first time ,since 40 years says "Who is this drummer ???" The others, who knows, say "Bruford. Keep cool, he is not human.". His mark on drum is very bigger than his name.
I was the drummer in the YES tribute band Roundabout and I would just like to say Well Done! Thank you for sharing what is the result of many hours of hard work.

This is one my favourite drum pieces, and I'm so glad to see someone take it on, and amazed that you nailed it. Bravo! Shame about the camera-sync problem that gradually crept in.
Oustanding! I have years to go to get to this standard !! My very favourite piece of drumming on any album too! Have the same kit would love to know the settings for this sound Robert !
Well done Robert. Reminds me so much of myself back in '72. Next, you'll have to take on Alan White's interpretation on 'Yessongs'. It's a little more demanding but worth working on.
Enjoyed your cover of Bruford's YES treat. You did a great job with the grace notes, buzz rolls, and the syncopated hh + kick + ride. Check out his work with UK, Genesis, and his own band too. I think you will like. Thanks for sharing your talent. I liked and subscribed! I'll be sure to ck out new prog rock covers you upload (soon, I hope). Thanks again.
Nice. At the 0:50 and 4:47 mark, I would do "R, L, kick - L , R kick" etc. (HH, SD, BD - SD, HH, BD etc) instead of the common Bonham-like R,L,K R,L,K Bruford also uses the R,L - L,R kind of sticking on the intro to South Side of the Sky but he's using one of the toms. Thanks for keeping the Bill Bruford spirit alive!
thank you! I tried playing those parts in a similar way to what you suggested, but this is the best I landed on. Playing it the "Bruford" way didn't go so well :/
That was awesome!! Can you play Mental Hopscotch by Missing Persons or Bytor and the Snowdog by Rush? Or something from Dream Theater? You should also get more of a Pantera kick sound!!
Great job Robert!!! perfect all the details!!!! the sound of the drums too! im looking for a electronic drum to practice in home , what is this model? *p.s. sorry my english
Amazing! It is a very difficult song to play in the Bruford style, and you get it. Sorry for my english
thank you!
Bro this is so good, I was struggling so much to hear what he’s doing you don’t know how much this helps
This is so awesome. I've been listening to this song for 45 years and playing the drums in my head, so cool to see it like this. Well done!

Great job! Cool musically themed curtain on the left..
Excellent job
Not many people know this was done about 40 years ago / Bill was a pioneer on the drums
Absolutely. I feel Yes lost a lot a character when he left. I was in awe of what he was doing.
