    That’s a great addition to the lineup of attachments, I’d love to see a mower blade sharpening attachment sometime in the future! Great work 👍🏻

    I thought you guys already did a video on the sharpener, but this one is much more detailed. Thanks! Love my mastery package. Glad I went with Ameribrade! I would love to see detailed videos on all of your attachments. The surface grinder was great also.

    I just got mine yesterday, and worked my way through it, but was glad to see this video this morning. Being the owner of a Tormek, it was fairly intuitive, but your tips will help me out today. I'd recommend people keep the speed down on the grinder both to slow the process a bit and keep the heat down as well.

    The sharpening attachment is well worth the purchase. Along with the Ameribrade 2x72" belt grinder saves a tremendous amount of time in the sharpening process.
    Buy a leather strop for your grinder. Your sharpening process will be quick and simplified. Thanks guys for your great products and service.

      Oh man. That's a deep topic buried in myth and opinion. We could give it a whack if we bring someone in to back us up

    What is the maximum size blade a jig like this would be able to handle? And it is only compatible with grinders that can run in reverse?

    Would this work on the 2x48 grinder?

    Looks easy enough. I know it is demonstration purpose but sure looks easy to take the temper out of the tip. (Im new to this game so if that is not the proper term someone please correct me). I imagine very little mass creates heat very quickly in the tip so quenching often between is key nearer the tip.

    • @AmeriBradeOfficial
      @AmeriBradeOfficial  7 місяців тому

      absolutely. It is necessary to run the belt nice and slow and to not linger on the tip for very long. especially on really thin pointy tips.

    Have you tried using this to do main grinds in knife making? looks like you could clamp the handle part and do main grinds pretty easy.

    • @AmeriBradeOfficial
      @AmeriBradeOfficial  6 місяців тому +1

      Theoretically you could, but there are a couple things that make it not ideal. Main bevels should usually be at smaller angles than the clamp can do without hitting the belt. But, if you're hollow grinding, that helps because the wheel curves away from hitting the clamp.
      The second thing is just how securely the clamp holds the blade. It's plenty secure for the light work of sharpening, but may end up moving a bit if you're doing heavy grinding. But, if you're careful, its possible to keep it in position.

      @@robertmunguia250 The attachment is for sale on ameribrade.com with the option for 1.5" or 2" accessory arms, but I might be missing something in your question. I'm sorry. I'm not sure what you mean by a hitch receiver. The grinder frame itself? What type of grinder do you have?
