Hi, everyone!
In today's video, PoE 3.15 - Crafting an Attack Crit Chest, we'll be doing just that! Crafting a chest like this is easier than it looks with very few stages of gambling involved. To create a Cyclone Attack Crit Chest:
What you'll need:
1x i85+ Warlord Influenced Chest
1x i86+ Hunter or Elder Influenced Chest
500x Alterations
1x Awakener's Orb
2x Suffixes Cannot be Changed
1x T4 Aisling Unveil
Process:
Step 1: Alt spam Warlord Chest for -15 Mana Cost
Step 2: Alt spam Elder or Hunter chest for 1.1-1.5% Attack Crit
Step 3: Awakener's Orb the Warlord Chest onto the other chest
Step 4: If your prefixes are full, Harvest "Reforge an item keeping suffixes" until you have an open prefix
Step 5: If your suffixes aren't full, craft "suffixes cannot be changed" and Harvest "Reforge an item with a lightning modifier" or "a cold modifier"(guarantees a resistance)
Step 6: Craft on Suffixes Cannot be Changed and Scour
Step 7: Craft of Suffixes Cannot be Changed and use a Veiled Chaos Orb! (NOT AISLING LIKE I DID)
Step 8: BEFORE UNVEILING - craft on a potential unwanted unveil on the crafting bench (I chose Chance to Block Attack Damage)
Step 9: Unveil and hope to get something you like (%life and chance to avoid ailments are both great)
Step 10: Craft on life!
Step 11: ? Craft Armour and exalt then craft on life?

Update: I didn't need to Aisling Unveil lol - I could've just used a Veiled Chaos orb after crafting Suffixes Cannot be Changed. Mega derp on my part, but this is why you shouldn't craft first thing in the morning before your coffee :D You only need to Aisling unveil if you have a second prefix you want to try to protect before unveiling while your suffixes are locked (like I did in the Onslaught/Tailwind/Elusive craft). If your suffixes are done and you have no prefixes like in the video, you can just lock Suffixes and use a Veiled Chaos and save 2.99ex :D However, if I had something like T1 or T2 life, it would've made sense to do it the way I did it with Aisling.

I just learned that as well thanks to this video - veiled chaos is great if you have only one prefix / suffix. Usually people get a solid suffix first, then try to aisling for the second with a 50/50 chance to keep the good mod, then if they're lucky, craft the third. But this way makes sense too.
you could've skipped the annul part as well and saved 2 more ex
yes if you wanted something like extra curse you would have had to reroll caster with your suffixes locked got the curse then did the aisling craft with suffixes can not be changed and hope u hit the crafted mod. That is usually what people do for this craft that can use an extra curse. Should have finished the video u explain this at the end
After the Aisling nerf, she will remove a random mod (will she randomly add 1-2 veiled mods or only 1 now? I don't know).
That means if you had fine Suffixes + fine Life Prefix and wanted to protect all of these, as far as I can see using "Suffixes cannot be changed" wouldn't be enough, because then Aisling could remove your Life (prefix) mod. Right?
@@alwaysask Yea it is now a gamble. You will either hit the crafted mod or one of your good mods, but it will only take u back one step because you are always going to be locking your most important mods whether those be prefixes or suffixes. Dumb changes made a cool crafting mechanic to finish off the long tedious process of crafting an end game item and added another slot machine pull
also you can just harvest reforge attack on the crusader chest since -15 mana cost is the only attack mod on the chest, reforge crit/attack also works on the elder base to hit crit to attacks

Love your guides and crafting. Im currently working on this chest for my Cyclone shockwave build. I have both chest ready just trying to get an Awakener's orb to fuse them but having zero luck farming currency to buy one. Hopefully I'll get enough to build one and finish the chest.

Hi Lolcohol. Thanks for this vid and really helped me understanding the crafting system. Started 3.14 and learning still. Could you do a necro summon skeleton helmet next? With 3 to socketed minion, minion damage and hypothermia.
Great vid.
There are several Ways to get it. First off You'll need atleast a ilvl 86 Shaper Bone helmet for the Hypothermia Mod alone and an elder Helmet, which does not have to be a bone helmet with the other Two Mods on it. Then Awakener Orb Them and hope for the best. If this bricks you can reroll the Bone Helmet with Fossils. Either with frigid, faceted and bound ones if you want to roll with 3 or go with sancitified on top of it, to get higher chances for succes. To get an atleast +3 roll with hypothermia and minion life (last two not high rolls) you have to reroll with 3 fossils around 50 times and with 4 around 30. There are always the systems in which you can fix suffix or prefix, depends on what you have and reroll with Harvest mods.

It has now can apply additional curse, + to Crit Chance and Power Chargers on Hit

you can also Delve craft this on just an Elder Astral Plate since the -15 mana to socketed attacks is also a Delve suffix for Serrated Fossils if you only want the warlord influence for the -15 mana

That's a good idea! So many crafts, so little time! I'm busy working up my currency again after a disaster that you'll see tomorrow :D Let's just say I deleted 140ex in the saddest way possible
For cyclone especially (unless you are a Slayer), the -15 is really worth elevating because stun immunity is huge. I usually play max dodge cyclone raider and getting stunned is the main reason for dying.

Pro tip, if you put the last word of the items name in the search bar followed by \s*$ it will show when it has no suffix too, so you augment if it shows up and isn't the one u want. Made it more bearable for me lol
So for a coronal leather you can do
Attacks|Leather\s*$

Is there an easy way to get the hunter life REGEN instead of curse? I know curse is easy because you can just roll Caster but wonder if there is any way that’s half-reliable to get the %regen ?

If you reforge attack with a harvest craft you will always hit -15 mana on ilvl 85 warlord body armours btw :) Much cheaper and quicker than alt spamming, since its 100% guaranteed.
True! The only downside is you might get more than one influenced mod but it saves time if you have some lying around

Very good question! Are you going for additional curse or one similar to mine? If you want to protect that final suffix you can go "can have up to three crafted modifiers" and craft "suffixes cannot be changed" and then reforge caster for curse (hunter influence only). Otherwise you can do the same and use a veiled chaos orb :)

i didnt think about that solution! its smart as i can do that and not risk aisling hitting the open suffix instead of the 50/50 of "suffix cannot be changed" and the additional curse.

@@Lolcohol I used Craft of Exile and I'm confused about Additional Curse. Sometimes I get Spell Crit instead of additional curse. I thought additional curse is 100% guaranteed?

That's the Elevated version of the -15. To get that you need to get an item with 2 influenced mods and use a Maven's Orb on it. It will elevate one mod and remove the other so it's a bit risky! But yeah, that's how you get the -20. You can check out how I did some Elevation crafting in my Tailwind/Onslaught/Elusive boot crafting video :)

I still don't understand how the awakener's orb works. According to the description it adds the influence but reforges the new item. But what you just showed is it keeps the two different influence mods that you alt spammed on both?
It will take the influence and 1random influence modifier from each item and combine them, all other stats are rerolled. And since its random, you have to make sure the bases only have 1 influence modifier so it doesent transfer the wrong one.
great video, thank you - you probably could have found the 'bad base' via poe trade for dirt cheap instead of trying to alt-spam. I know you're likely doing this with the intent to educate how to do this from scratch, but to all those out there, it's usually much cheaper to just buy bad bases on the market, including bad bases you intend to elevate yourself with Maven orbs. You can also occasionally find bad bases that have elevated mods for 5 ex or less, which is a BARGAIN considering your average elevated mod costs two maven orbs.
It's true in this case! - 15 mana bases with no other influenced mods are pretty cheap. It sounds dumb but I kinda like doing it myself even if it isn't optimal :)

Was about to give up at around the 600 mark and got a roll of -15 mana and 120 life
Why did he craft „suffixes can’t be changed“ on the item before unveiling it ? It couldn’t unveil a suffix anyways cuz it got 3 already no?
Aisling now removes a random mod before adding a new one so that was to protect the suffixes. I also could've just used a veiled chaos orb instead of Aisling there which was the bigger mistake 😂
Wow this is actually exactly what I was trying to get but didn't know how. And 12ex is "very cheap" compared to what I would have payed.
For now I was spamming fossiles on a hunter base to get %life and curse or attack crit.
Going to try to craft this this weekend though. Looks nice.

I got a Chest with Attack Crit, and -mana and was lucky to get curse right on awaken orb. So yeah total cost only about 6ex from scratch.
Cheapest one on the market with same mods. 15ex. Thanks again.
yeah i'm just trying to learn crafting and it's confusing asf lol. I play on Xbox though so it makes everything more difficult and the trade market is fucked.
For alt spam, its honestly better to look atthe name of the item, then quickly use augment, if you need to, instead of reading what mods are on the item...
That can work if you aren't too sure of what's a prefix and what's a suffix :) Good tip!

Sad thing is that cyclone is unplayable
6:36 Failing the annul is not disastrous, although it is bad. You can just get T1 crit on again (alteration, attack reforge, serrated fossils, whatever floats your boat) with an open suffix and prefix, then suffixes cannot be changed + harvest reroll attack to force on -15 mana. Yes, that's 2ex and some change, but that's much better than woke orb + 6 link + 2 influenced bases + more rolling.

The more I watch these crafting vids, the more I accept I have zero interest in 'crafting' in this game.

For -15 to attacks, all you need is warlord influence + reforge guaranteed attack.
For attack crit, same *exact* thing on hunter's influence.
Those alts were just burned.
It's true! Though those don't guarantee isolated influenced mods, it's quicker and possibly cheaper
