You'd need a ridiculous amount of currency, amazing items, and even then... its more of a meme than anything :3 But, if you want fun, look up "Forbidden Sun" build by "omgitsjousis" its here on youtube
I've always stayed away from crafting more than the standard bench craft as it seemed too complicated but all the clips that you've shared have thought me a lot! keep it up!
Most important rule of crafting, when you have a profit item, you sell and start over. If you sold with cold per frenzy you very likely would have made a decent suffix base for less than 20ex again. Important to emphasize that in crafting guides as I see too many friends keep rolling high profit items and end up wasting all their currency never getting optimal mods. Another suffix would make the ring great for builds like flicker etc too so it's little risk to start over. Also if you want a cheap slam on it now, you can recommend people use menagerie to slam for only 0.4-0.5ex total cost, or buy leo slams off TFT/save up self. Decent guide though, appreciate your way of speaking and tone etc.
Absolutely true! Unfortunately I can't do that because it doesn't make for thrilling content to stop halfway through to sell, but I couldn't agree more with this advice

That bit of advice from the above commenter is a monster of a tip as many will dry themselves out completely on the original try. profit is profit, dont waste other good rolls, gain that money and keep going and you can try forever.
He could've also crafted Suffix cannot be changed and tried to T4 Aisling blocking mana. It's a 50-50 to hit the crafted modifier but if it hits, you could end up with life+EDWA. Rolling over that was painful...
I crafted a couple of these a few days ago... I think you made a small mistake here. Frostbite is fine, but cast on crit also works really well with assassin's mark, so you can use a shaper base for assassin's mark, obviously then awakener orb lvl 12 AM with crit multi, then you can lock suffixes and then reroll cold. The advantage of this is that there is only ONE cold damage against chilled prefix, and it's a shaper mod. This is also great because many coc builds use inner conviction so they don't have frenzy charges. Finally, if you're lucky, this allows you to hit cold damage to chilled and cold damage to attacks (which is an inferior mod, but is nice to have).
After awakening orbing crit and AM together, if you are left with an open suffix. Do you lock suffix and reroll cold more common in hope of getting increase cold damage/cold resist as the last suffix, or do you reforge something like chaos for chaos res?
@@gaben7431 depends on what you need more/what is more valuable. Generally speaking, chaos res sells for more than ele res, especially if you hit a high tier. Most rings like this on the market either have no res or crafted res. Keep in mind that locking suffix + chaos reforge will cost you an additional (minimum) 2ex because you'll need to lock suffixes again to hit cold damage (sometimes more than once).
@@WeR2VEVO Why would you need Assasins mark on a CoC build if the ring is 20ex+? They usually have capped crit chance when they invest into their rings that heavily.
@@slaya6y This is a fair point. With two equivalent rings, 32% frostbite is actually a 4% dps increase. It does, however, help more builds, as not everyone is crit capped. Also, AM affects hexproof enemies while frostbite does not (you do not take profane bloom on this build). They are both very strong options.
@@WeR2VEVO keep in mind that this ring is good for CoC in general, not only cyclone. A lot of ppl playing bow version which kinda require frostbite (assa mark is not so useful in this one)

When you're talking about CoC I'm assuming you're talking about Cast on Carbonara, which is one of my favorite builds. I like to roll the guanciale to at least 28% quality before frying and only use eggs dropped by free roamin' chickens.
Watching your videos not only teaches me about crafting but also shows me that i dont need hundreds of exalts to start crafting, though i will still probably wait until before i quit to try and craft stuff haha
Nice! Yeah, not all crafts are super expensive. This one was definitely on the slightly higher side, but if you settle for less than amazing, it's actually super cheap :)
That's the thing about crafting, you should have an overview of what's valuable to a multitude of builds, not just your own. But yeah sure if he had 0 interntion of profiting and wasting currency then sure follow this advice.
when you first merged the rings, i would have LOVED that for my frostblades build, my ring had the curse and accuracy on opal...but getting crit multi and melee damage is just a drooler

I'm certainly not sure. You were very unlucky with the reforms. But you could throw Leo a slam when you catch cold damage per frenzy charge. And you had a chance that you would catch something not bad enough. But crafting in this way is quite expensive. This is the same as throwing multi-crit essence until you catch Frostbite. And then you block the suffixes and roll the prefs.

Sorry this is a late question. Would it be possible to use a fossil on the ring after bench-crafting "suffix cannot be changed"? Was wondering if "Aetheric + Frigid" would have been better than a harvest cold craft in this case, since the attack cold keeps popping up due to higher weightage. (I won't be able to afford such crafts but just curious).
Found the answer myself using craftofexile emulator. Says fossil craft cannot be used on item with meta mods, but multi mods is ok. So now need to read up on "what is multi mods" lol.
Haha I have a vid on generic cluster jewel crafting but not specifics. Some Clusters are really expensive because the required notables are very hard to hit :(
Don’t feel bad, I was crafting this exact ring (cold damage against chilled or frozen enemies) + an Assasins mark version, failed 7 Aisling slams in a row and each fail took me another 3 or 4 cold reforges to get the mod back. Spent well over 100ex crafting them. It was not a fun day.
We know how fossils modify crafting outcomes but do we know that for harvest crafts as well? How much more likely are the mods with reforge and reforge more common?

Exactly same thing happened to me yesterday, i had to suffix cannot change 6 times just to get that chill mod from my shaper-warlord ring, i hit t1 crit, lvl12 assassin mark and after 6 times i hit t2 damage against chilled which is totally shjt rng for me. 🤣

Hey :) You can find that in Harvest or buy it on The Forbidden Trove discord server, usually for about 10ex per attempt. Usually it'll be something like "Fracture a suffix on an item with at least 3 suffixes" or "fracture a modifier on an item with at least 5 modifiers". It's risky and expensive, but it'll make your life easier with the crafting process :)

@@Lolcohol It's a dead stat for the exact, specific buid, that you are explicitly pidgeonhole-crafting for. It is NOT a dead stat on that item for other builds, i.e. Frostblades. Leo-Slams are just 50c, hitting something good, at least better than crafted, that elevates that item for other specs isn't unlikely. That Ring with T1 Life or WED, that is likely worth quite a bit more to the right buyer than T2 Cold-Chill-Dmg with Crafted Life. Crafting with Blinkers, that's not particularly efficient.
I got some currency from a friend (Nemsi), crafted a ton of stuff and tripled what he gave me from sales, then made this. But I have made a lot of money from Simulacrums and Blighted maps this league
Just started trying to craft for the 1st time high-end items for my build, and deleted my ring on accident as i was going back and forth between craft of exile and poe. 15ex bye bye. so done. its my fault but i dont even know how or when it happened. fml
Probably a bit niche but for sure you should have looked to sell as soon as you hit t1 melee and accuracy on woke orb. A bit niche but rare mods together, could have sold nicely. Obviously you were doing this for the video’s purpose but, a tip to anyone else.
Yeah I thought of that, but an item like that could take more than a week to sell, being so niche and all :( but yeah, definitely something to bear in mind!

My favorite coc would have to be using Ice Spear, Fireball, and Arc, the trinity of damage uwu. Barely viable tho

Tee damage against chilled is worth more due to Ice nova/spear CoC. They don't use frenzy charges, only power.

You kill Oshabi! You can buy a Sacred Blossom for a couple Ex, or you can get one randomly from certain T4 Harvest mobs :)

Reforge keeping suffixes until you get an open prefix! Don't go for the yolo annul unless you're stupid like me :D

i would have kept the original mods after the awk orb, the ring screamed "melee attack ring"!
This method is outdated now with the harvest crafting on influenced items, right? What would you recommend to get a similar result without harvest?

Probably a bit niche but for sure you should have looked to sell as soon as you hit t1 melee and accuracy on woke orb. A bit niche but rare mods together, could have sold nicely. Obviously you were doing this for the video’s purpose but, a tip to anyone else.
Yeah I thought of that, but an item like that could take more than a week to sell, being so niche and all :( but yeah, definitely something to bear in mind!

I made a couple of these cuz I’m trying to learn crafting as a money making method each league and these are great, they seem to take a while to sell though, maybe fresh at 2 weeks in when everyone’s swapping to CoC and stuff like that they’d sell quicker
