Purity of elements is perfect for league start. We do give up damage from an aura, but the QoL is worth it. Next easy upgrade is using body armor craft + boots with eldritch implicit + boot craft/essence and tree (from nodes or grand spectrum). For mid game, Ancestral Vision is great since you're going for 100% suppression.

With raider you can also take the max res wheel (30% eli avoid. We ignore the other small nodes) on the bottom right and a life wheel close to it that gives 20% eli avoid until you have better sources
I'm personally a big fan of Diadem + Enlighten + Purity of Elements. For any build that can make use of Eldritch Battery, it's a really nice solution to both Ailment Immunity and Resistances. Not super budget-friendly, but not too expensive, either, and I've run it across a myriad of builds that don't need a special helm.
thats pretty inefficient imo, u spend an item slot, and aura and maybe and enlighten ( this is in case u dont use other auras for some reason idk ), while getting the jewel with suppress and craft avoid on 1 piece of gear and get 1 implicit on boots is like 10 times easier and more efficient, this is just my opinion tho

It's a really common setup for builds like TR, BV, and Doom Blast/Hexblast. I get better phys DR running on TR PF using Purity of Elements with a cheap phys to ele conversion Watcher's Eye, Taste of Hate, and Lightning Coil than other PF's do out of Determination and a Granite Flask, and I can take every 'Monsters Overpower 100% of Physical Damage Reduction' Remnant in Expedition, or -% Phys DR Eldritch Altar I see without concern.

You could run determination on top of you conversion, haste or maybe some blasphemy setup.

Running Lightning Coil, Taste of Hate, Purity of Elements Watcher's Eye, and Progenesis, I'm fully unkillable, while also doing over 2M DPS per pod (39% AoE, so ~11.5M in ST) as TR PF with Gathering Winds Flesh/Flame, so I'm fine. Can't go faster, can't get much tankier, can't really improve by all that much now. Haven't tried any content I couldn't handle easily. Pretty happy with it!
Would love one of these for stuns. The change to the tolerance wheel removed a ton of stun avoid from the tree and I'm pretty starved for alternatives.
there are 2 near Shadow tree. One is between shadow/witch that gives you stun does not interrupt casting. Its a decent alternative if you're spell-based, especially channeling, and you can get 100% by also taking the ones on witch tree. the other one is shadow/ranger, which gives avoid stun. Take it with the one on ranger's tree and you get about 86% avoid stun, complement that with an abyss jewel and you should get 100%
And now those cheap gems are 7c+. Definitely starting to generate your own "Mathil" effect. Really enjoying playing your frostblink build (except for crazy gear prices). I think I might audios for a week and come back when everyone is way ahead and offloading hand-me-downs for cheap.

there is always the crucible passive: 100% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments while on Consecrated Ground 50% reduced Effect of Consecrated Ground you create. Not sure how to perm trigger it though other than flasks

What happens if you go i to a map with a negative spell suppression mod? Will you lose ailment immunity also, or is this calculated before the reduction of suppress chance?
50% mana reservation just isn't worth it most of the time these days. Auras are hotly contested to the point where most high end builds even run divine blessing. It's a great league start option but you want to be off of it asap.
Right now ailment immunity is so expensive and complicated, that its IMO cheaper to scale your dmg via items and replace malevolence with purity of elements.
im pretty sure this is why people don't like it, although i dont know what monsters do this, so its possible it doesnt matter 99% of the time. also i think his point is that early league if you dont have money its 'good enough' and a lot better than just not having anything
Purity of Elements is so fucking underrated. It gives resist worthy of like 2 entire rolls as well as ailment immunity worth 2 rolls of shock immunity and a stormshroud jewel. All in 1 aura. Now go reserve charisma like you planned anyway or grab a shield with 30% reservation and boom this aura fixes it all until the endgame when you can switch. All league starts I abuse this to be completely ailment immune for 100% of my POE lifetime until I now last week acquired stormshroud. I will never accept taking elemental ailments. It is such a waste of exp, time and money.
I love Grand spectrum is both a budget and a high budget set up, you can start with 2x ailment avoid and a damage one and then when build gets better and you have currency replace one with endurance charge or frenzy. Replace damage with life or another charge after that. It's underrated for sure.
you left out one MOST IMPORTANT DETAIL : you still get reflected ailments if you are using "duration reduction" -so you get FULL DURATION - frozen, shock , ignite, if you yourself create these on monsters, and in each map there can be couple of these reflective fuckers randomly. -BLUE ALTARS =REFLECTED AILMENTS -> you are perma frozen !!! -ULTIMATUM = REFLECTED AILMENTS - > perma frozen -so the FIRESONG is not really viable !!!
Have you tried the lightning coil chest + purity of elements setup? From my understanding you stack that with a taste of hate and some crafted physical to elemental armor effects and you get around 60 to 80% damage reduction with full elemental ailment immunity.
That would be a cool thing to mess around with. I feel like you'd need a decent amount of max res or all 3 elemental flasks to get huge benefit from it but it might sacrifice too much damage missing a good watchers eye and losing a damage aura for purity

50% aura is rough, hard to fit in deter, grace and another 50% damage aura if you use purity of ele, its only good for campaign, not worth the cost once you are into maps

Title says cheaper, when they are 1.5-2+ divines for the ancestral jewel. Stormshroud jewel is 7 divine. hahaha.

Soul of brine king hard carries stun for me
Immutable force and combine it with bloodnotch and make your es 0 or boots lab enchant 80% if you've killed recently and 20% from somewhere else

the firesong one was what i did last time on my RF jugg. 1 ring slot and 2 jewel corrupts and it was smooth sailing from there

Saboteur has it the easiest . Pyromaniac + 100% Freez avoidance from Crucible passive on shield .

Yes avoid makes it not apply in general so does immunity, "Unaffected by" is what you want to self shock without downside
