This was refreshing. We’ve asked this man enough about the lens, the camera and the film, and definitely enough about that one very important image. He and his work are so much more and this piece respects that. Thank you.
Mu uncle used to tell me: sometimes students surpass their masters. That's obviously what happened with Steve McCurry who's become one of the greatest masters of all time. Thanks for your passion and compassion, you're one of a kind!
In another video he say's nobody uses Leica anymore. He is now using Leica. Did Leica give him a camera to advertise for them? He also said "No digital photo can match an image as well as Kodachrome Film did". Now he doesn't like film anymore and he prefers Digital.
@@WexPhotoVideo I know that. The point I'm making is he has left film when he states that film is better and digital cannot replicate a good film image when processed and printed. Then now Digital is his preference. We still have good film today even better films then we had in the Kodachrome days.

Thank you for watching :)
Nice Leica Product Placement. I also keep the Box on my desk all the time. hahah
Great that you made this video with such an icon of the photographic world.
Thank you, David
I LOVE these. Nicely done Wex.
Thank you!
Lovely. Steve McCurry is a constant inspiration. Love that he has copies of Paul Theroux, what a great pairing!
We thought exactly the same - he was a joy to work with

Afghan Girl is the Mona Lisa of photography🥂
Steve is still hiding his secet, though
-- what kind of cheese powers his photographic eye?🧀📷🌍
He's a brave guy
We were in awe of the things he has done and lived through!
What is the trade price for being Steve McCurry? Family?
I am just curious
Trade price for being Steve McCurry?
@ the price to pay behind being successful
he has a lovely family now. he married later in life, when he started travelling a lot less than in his younger days.
It's a fair question.

Kodachrome can't be processed anywhere in the world anymore even if you are still able to find expired rolls.
