Most comprehensive and helpful tutorial video I've watched. I managed to finally hardwire my dash cam (Viofo A139) thanks to this video.
Thank you! I’m glad it helped.
Great video, you covered everything really well. And I love that rear shade, wish my car had that!
more than installation steps, the details you gave to identify fuse slot and technical inputs on the fuse tap is awesome. I learned something today. In the process of installing T130, your video helped me a lot
I’m glad I could help. Thanks for leaving me a comment. I appreciate it 🙏🏽
Your video helped me finish my purchase of the Viofo T130 during this prime day. Your video made the purchase decision much easier. Clear and easy instructions.
Glad I could help!

From one DIY car channel to another: Great job man 👏🏻. I only needed to see one part of this, but watched the entire video.

Perfect explanation, thank you
I appreciate that! 🙏🏽
Explicación perfecta¡ Gracias
I added additional wire length to the Fuse Tap Adapter wire, all 16 gauge Red wire. No need for buying a variety of colored wires you may never use. Just buy one roll of 16 gauge RED wire which is all that is needed.
I've not seen/watched a single hardwire kit install video that added more wire length to the existing Fuse Tape Adapter wire.
Thanks for the video. I have fuses in my car insurance box from 5 amps to 40 amps. Does it matter which one I connect to using Fuse tape.
Thanks for your insightful review.
One question about T130: is it absolutely necessary to use a max endurance SD card? Wouldn't a high endurance card work?
Great video! Super easy to follow!! Well done! Does the new fuse need to be the same amp as the original fuse? I don't believe dashcams make a big draw. Can I use a lower amp fuse or does it need to match the original fuse?
Use the same type fuse that you tap into
Can you testing the cut off volt please see if it works?
What happens if i add the add a fuse in the wrong side ( load on other side) will it damage it? I have atc type fuse. Thanks.
Do you know if I can leave the red wire (constant power) not attached to anything if I only want the camera to function when the ignition is on?
Hello... I just want my dash cam to be hardwired instead of plugged into the cigarrette lighter. I'm not actually interested in the 24H parking monitor mode.
My question is... Should I still tap the wires the same way (ACC and constant 12v)? 🤔
Or can I just cut the wire meant for ACC, and tap the one meant for constant 12v in an ACC fuse, so the dash cam only works when the car is on and shuts off when the car is off, as if it were with the cigarrette lighter plug? 👀
How do I know if my park mode is active or actually working? I just got done hardwiring it but I get no notifications from the cam when I turn the car off and all the light go off the cam.
There is a park mode that you have to enable in the app.
Would you use the horn fuse for the “ switch power fuse adapter “
No, I wouldn’t use any safety fuses.
Thanks
I have Viofo dash cam
It worked with HK4 cable before
But now HK4 not working
What is the problem?
Dash cam works with cigarettes lighter socket but not with HK4 cable
You got a bad cable, I have seen some reviews about this happing to other people :(
try to set the transformer to the lower voltage setting because you might have low battery voltage. or you have to change ground cable to another bolt
I order my hardwire kit from Amazon and the red one is ACC and the yellow is Battery. When I install it, it only record when the car is off and it won’t record when it’s on. Any suggestions?
You need to find new circuits to tap into, and you need to test them more thoroughly. It's really that simple.

Have you installed the ACC fuse piggy back in the right direction to the fuse box? On the piggy back the side with the wire is negative and the other side is positive. Check the fuse slot with a circuit tester for the positive side before installing.
Hey, does the Hk4 ACC Hardwire kit come with those 2 Add a circut or Add a fuse connections?
No, I got mine from Amazon (amzn.to/4bdjvge)
Maybe I missed something, but for the front and rear cameras to have parking mode, do both need to be hardwired? Meaning, do I need two hardwire kits?
Typically rear cameras have a separate wire that connects to the front main camera for power. You only need to hardwire power for the front then it supplies the rear as well.
does the new fuse have to be the same value as the old one? you didn't mention that.
It is my understanding that the new fuse has to be equal or less than the original fuse.
If we use the adaptors, we wouldn't use the normal charging?
If I understand your question correctly, then yes using hardwire kit would eliminate the need for using the 12v charging cable/port.
What about battery drain?
Which parking mode do you select and how that affects your car battery?
I haven’t had any issues. I selected the 12v I believe.
@@DriveTalkCars how many hơurs when U set 12V? And which mode
Just unliked this bideo
You didn’t show how you identified the load side vs non load side
