  • All valuations were correct at the time of broadcast. This trio of gorgeous Royal Worcester pieces include a 1932 plate that is, according to expert Henry Sandon, 'desperately unusual', painted by George Evans and featuring stunning enamelwork. The two vases valued are by the artist Harry Davis, who was a genius painter of landscapes. Hugh Scully and the experts from Antiques Roadshow take a look at some fantastic antiques and the history and stories surrounding them. This clip was filmed in Highclere Castle in 1999.

It was always wonderful to see Henry Sandon on the Roadshow. His avuncular manner and friendliness plus his supreme knowledge of his subject was always a treat even if Worcester and Porcelain etc was not to your taste.

I always have fun imagining these people on the way home after they discovered just how valuable their keepsakes are. I'd be scared to touch it too!

Great to see Henry Sandon again, still with us at 95. I’ve not seen much of his son, John for some time on the recent programmes.

A big fan of ARS. The strength of this series of Programmes is its knowledgeable Experts, & of course, the settings for each . We get to see the incredible architecture, furnishings & glorious gardens and get a mini history lesson at each location. A fabulous production. Thanks Producers & Presenters, Photographers & everyone who's contributed over the years.🥰🙏🦘🦘🦘🦘💐📱
