The engine disassembly of Diamond, our 1973 Honda CB450 engine continues. In part two we take apart the "bottom end" of the engine, which is indeed a dirty job. This includes the removal of the charging system, electric starter, clutch, oil filter rotor, and then splitting the crankcase and removing the transmission parts as well as the crankshaft. At this point, we have taken apart almost the entire engine, but we still have a few details to take apart in our next video. If you missed the disassembly of the "top end" of the engine you can watch the process in PART 1.
Great videos. Thanks for taking the time to put these together. Looking forward to seeing the next steps
You guys are great! Keep up the good work.
Cool video. When are you going to upload the reassembly of the engine.
Hey guys, love the video. Fun seeing you tackle some of the problems i dealt with when i did my 500t bottom end. I was wondering if you plan to make a video of disassemble of the head? I need to replace the valve seals i think, and maybe the guides. I wouldnt mind seeing a video of you guys getting into all of that. the torsion bars, i dont have the tool to get them out so.
bestvideo slow an profess thanks
the direction of stater nut is counterclockwise an puller is clockwise
I'm in the process of tearing down and rebuilding a 1971 cl350 engine which is missing quite a few bits.
we need more. I'm replacing my cb450 motor. any tips?
Hi. Are you doing any more videos of this renovation in a near future? I am overhauling a '76 cb500t and i sure could use some of your tips and tricks :)
The screw snapped off behind the rotar, same thing has happened to mine. Did you manage to get the other part of the bolt out? Do you have any replacement bolts?
What is a good way to clean the engine? Sand blast? Diesel fuel? I've heard all sorts of stuff. What would you suggest?
good video..could you tell me what would cause a shifter on my old honda dream 305 to "lock" up sometimes.Does this randomly.thanks
Great video. Do you guys have one for a CB360?
wondering if you could help me out. I have a cb450. did a top end rebuild. i didnt take the bottom apart at all. just to the head gasket and replaced rings on the pistons. put it back together and when i got t al backtogether my kick doesnt move. i got to the part where i was putting it back on the bike after i got the engine back on the frame. and it doesnt move. i dont know what to check..
