Thanks for another great Reaper lesson, Kenny. Been lovin the customization abilities of Reaper to program my MIDI controlled laser synth onto production timeline. Now, I have Laserium in my living room. Could never achieve it w/o your step-by step instructional videos. 😎
I'm not at the computer right now but if I remember correctly escape will close the piano roll window if it's not docked. If it is docked or escape doesn't work look up something like "View: toggle show MIDI editor windows" (??) in the action list and assign a shortcut to it if it doesn't have one.
