GRC makes the motor relocation kit your talking about. Its all aluminum and adds a lower range gear box up front and a drive shaft to the existing trans/transfer case. I have one in my bronco and its ran for 3 years now with no issues.
I picked up the 79 sunset bronco last Sunday after wanting one for a long time. Hands down it's the best rc trail truck I've ever owned. I will be adding the 79 Cheyenne high trail to my collection as well. And will be going with black.
People are saying the additional manufacturing cost of the lift kit is why they chose to use the black window stickers so I think its a tradeoff in value but still a good one.
It's more for a showish truck, but I want it either way because it's an 80s style an it will look great with the rollbar when available. But I already put a pre order on the losi mega truck first
Great video. The windshield sticker looks like mine with those blotches on the decal. I email Traxxas on mine to see what they do. My left tire wobbles alot and the flat spot are coming out as I keep the truck up off the tires.
Keep an eye on those hubs, the Blazer has the same hubs, snd one of mine fell off the first day. and you cant repl, ace the ones with the lock in them seperatly. you can only get them in a 4 wheel and tire set

Decent review, missed one other item, no big triangles between the bed and cab to reinforce the lexan. Ate Up RC has the first I have seen with 1.9” wheel and proline 5.4” boggers. That is probably the way I am heading as well, not sure on wheels yet. But I am thinking 32-45mm wide set of boom-racing pro scales might make it look more appropriate. You know that 14” wide deep dish look. If the truck gets enough popularity I think the manufacturers will jump on board. The 2.2” market has pretty much dwindled away.

I like the truck but it sucks knowing I scratched body all up and replacement is like 150 dollars...
The dimples in the bed are for where you will mount the later produced roll bar with KC lights. There are 4 dimples
Oh OK I just noticed the 2 also didn't know bout the roll bar. Thanks for the info as well as subscribing
Wanted to know this too. Thankyou. One reason why I'm buying

Locked up RC has 8 hole wheels like that but they have outer rings
The shocks are adjustable
That looks nice
Ssd makes real lockout hubs
Dimples on wheel wells for roll bar?
Check out rc4wd probably have the wheels
You could have bought the red one and I could have showed you a effortless way of removing the paint on the inside windows!
it's all good perhaps if bodys become available I can get red and you will still help me
