When you said "let's just do it from the back" you flipped it over and did the soldering on the USB that you didn't take off. When you flipped it over, the loose USB should be flipped to the left
my usb port was connected to moniters usb extention port and after power cut it is showing warning message in windows “ sudden power surge and usb port has been disabled” do you think this will fix it
You can't solder without flux. The solder won't even adhere to your iron let alone the item you are soldering. There are two types of solder, one has flux in the core (called fluxcore) and the other is fluxless. If you use the fluxless solder you have to add flux as seen the video. Most of the thinner solder is fluxcore and I'm certain that is the type that you have.

How much we should maintain, you didn’t speak about it
Looks like you are practicing on scrap electronics. That's genius! I will do that aswell!
looks really easy gonna try it myself thanks for clearly explaining what you where doing! really helpful!
Have fun! just take your time as you remove
He makes it look easy. Practice first before doing it on anything important.
thanks for video? what is the model of leptop?
cant rem. think is was an asus
@@Lenzwalters thank you😊
What tool did you use to clean out the 4 holes?
braided wire with flux
They call it "solder wick".
How many degrees of heat should a hot air gun be?
400 if the port is bad and you dont want it to reuse as the heat can melt the plastic part of it. so it all depends
What is that clear gooey he's using to clean it off and put it back on?
flux

You need to identify what tools and what products you are using. What is that strip that looks like a shoe lace?
braided wire, or de solder wire
What was the temperature of your heat-gun ?
400
Can u tell me how much it costs
for tools or port replacement?
how hot is your heat gun?
400
good video!
Glad you enjoyed it
What does flux even do? I've been soldering without it just fine.
it help to solder and de-solder without making any damages.

@@greygtv6 like I said, I solder without flux all the time. I didn't say it was easy but I do it.
I melted my USB port with this method.
its a technique, you angle most of the heat where needed but not for to long. and also can use low melt solder to remove
can I replace 2.0 to 3.0 USB port
no that's not how it works. the motherboard would have to be set up to support usb 3.0 so if it didn't have it originally, it won't work.
Nope.. the bios has been programmed to see that port as a usb 2.0.
USB c is a huge disappointment in my opinion
