    Omggggggg I want to do this so bad but haven’t had the right expertise I wondered if you can make a gel using
    1.) aloe Vera juice instead of water
    2.) infusing the aloe juice (water phase) with marshmallow root and slippery elm
    3.) add ins include normal gel base, hydrolyzed protein, honey extract, glycerin, aloe Vera gel, essential oil
    Omg this would be a pretty good gel I think with nice slip I like gels with a hard cast yet still moisturizing.

    Would it be okay if I infuse the distilled water with herbs, before I use it to make the gel? And just like the fragrance oil, can I use a solubilizer to add other good hair oils, like olive oil or jojoba oil?

    • @tddjimmie
      @tddjimmie 2 роки тому +1

      Some herbs will "break" the sodium carbomer, so you will have to test various herbs. As far as fragrance oils/carrier oils, yes, you can use a solubilizer to add them to your gel, keeping in mind that the gel will turn out white, not clear.

      Raw aloe vera gel will "break" the carbomer gel.

    Please tell preservative???

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  2 роки тому +5

      It’s best to try out varies ones depending on your formulation. Most preservatives with a wide ph range will work. I used Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin because it has a wide ph range. It’s not that soluble in water, but you can use glycerin to help with that. The carbomer I used is pre-neutralized and keeps is form in a ph to ~ 6 to 8. I didn’t go into details here because I wanted to keep it simple. I will go further in detail in future videos. I hope this helps. 💜💜
