Ben Platt will always be Evan's voice in my head but like- Taylor just-- he IS Evan, he looks just so much how I would picture him

All of the actors who played Evan Hansen did play the role well. No comparisons.

I agree. Ben and all the others made the role their own but I feel like Taylor embodies the character of Evan the most.
I loved hearing things from "If I Could Tell Her" and the similarities and the differences😍

At the second verse his voice was less shakey and he was getting comfortable with the audience
In the third verse he finally unclasped his hands to break the uneasiness he felt

I like the song, but it's weird watching this very expressive actor playing this song so straight....(so to speak). Not emoting, just swaying back and forth while singing something very full of emotion. I wonder if they were told to tone down the expressions for the purpose of the Second Anniversary videos, because I felt that way about a lot of them. I would have preferred more facial expressions and gesturing.
I felt like they were being 'in character'.
I think it's right for the song and character, explaining why he suppresses his feeling for the whole time
